She was knowledgeable, informative and made me feel completely at ease - everything needed to get an A++ from me. I've gotten multiple piercings and tattoos in my lifetime and I will have to say this is the best piercing experience I've ever had! Her aftercare instructions were marvelous as well, and I'm healing up quite nicely. Thanks Lizzy, if i'm ever in Springfield again and have an itch to get tattooed/pierced, i'll make sure to swing by!

I contacted Brad and told him I needed to cancel indefinitely (this was a week and a half before the appointment). He never said he worked on the design and then said it was shop policy that deposits are nonrefundable. I go to the website and screenshot the blurb about deposits and the word "nonrefundable" was nowhere to be found. THE NEXT DAY, THE WORD "NONREFUNDABLE"WAS ON THEIR WEBSITE IN BOLD LETTERS. Nice try, dude. I messaged the owner, Doc, and he gave me the same crap story, even when I pointed out that was never in writing on the website. That's how you run a business?! Avoid this place! Not only are they overpriced, they are incredibly sketchy and dishonest.

I take my body modifications and my artist choice VERY SERIOUSLY. I got nipple piercings not even ten minutes ago, and I just had to leave a review. Mic was very patient and empathetic toward my nervousness. Mic helped me maintain my breathing, answered all my questions, explained the procedure to me thoroughly, and was very friendly all while being 100% sterile (clean) in his work and maintaining eye contact at all times (besides when he obviously needed to do otherwise to make sure the piercings were straight). Mic was very professional, informative, and all around a great individual to be around! After months of searching, I can finally say with confidence and absolute happiness that I have now found my new loyalty shop! Thanks for everything to everyone at Native Roots!!! If you're considering going here, stop considering and go! You won't regret it!

Initial opinion is that the shop was super clean and had a nice modern relaxed feel to it. I've been to lots of tattoo shops and this is one of the nicest ones I've been too. None of us knew what we wanted so we flipped through their book of designs and eventually found some awesome stencils we liked. They do also have a "get what you get" gumball machine for $100 for those who are feeling more adventurous. My sister went first and was a bit nervous but Bruce Lee (yes that's his name) made her feel super comfortable. He does amazing line work and she was in and out of there super quick. After her, he called me in and I am so grateful to have been placed with him. Bruce is not only an amazing artist, he is a gentle/kind human and such an amazing soul. He had us laughing the entire time we were there and we had some amazing conversations. I 100% recommend this shop, especially if you're getting your first tattoo because they will make you feel super comfortable.
