I definitely recommend Born This Way for ear piercing. Four-ish years ago (at their previous…read morelocation) we had our daughter's ears pierced. She was about six at the time. We had a great experience then and we recently had another great experience at their newer Kingston Pike location. Online appointments are necessary but easy to reserve. You can read the bios and choose who you would like to work with and then choose an available appointment day and time. We chose to have our six year old's ears pierced here because of the cleanliness, friendliness and professionalism. It's important to note that if you're piercing your child's ears, go to their website and read it first. You need to bring a copy of the child's birth certificate and pay a reservation fee. The website provides lots of helpful information. Once we arrived for the appointment, I was impressed with the relaxed yet lovely setting. There are several display cases of various body jewelry. Merchandise is also available. And there are two seating areas. We were greeted immediately by a friendly employee, checked in and then we met with Barron who is a professional body piercer. He was very informative, patient and professional. The private piercing room was very clean and several steps were taken to ensure sterilization. The piercing process was efficient. Barron explained his process and followed up with aftercare information to ensure her new piercings healed correctly. Now, when it comes to piercing, you get what you pay for. The service and jewelry at Born This Way is more expensive than a say a business offering a piercing gun and nickel-free jewelry. But, Born This Way provides a safe, clean, welcoming environment. You work with a knowledgeable professional piercer and the jewelry is titanium and very good quality. We are very pleased with the whole experience and everyone we worked with at Born This Way.

I paid substantial deposits and trusted him with existing artwork that was meaningful to me. Instead of improving it, he altered designs, changed shapes, and damaged pieces that were already completed, all while criticizing the work of previous artists. When I raised concerns, rather than taking responsibility for obvious mistakes, he deflected, made excuses, and brought up matters unrelated to the quality of his work. During tattoo sessions, while I was enduring significant pain, he would assure me that he was making the artwork better. Unfortunately, I later discovered that many of those changes had permanently compromised the original designs. The consequences extended far beyond the tattoo chair. I spent thousands of dollars on removal treatments and endured additional physical pain, emotional distress, and mental strain in an attempt to correct the damage. During that process, I also met others who claimed to have had similar negative experiences and were seeking tattoo removal after work they were unhappy with, at Removery tattoo removal and fading in Knoxville. Ultimately, I chose to walk away and have had no contact with him since. In my opinion, his conduct was dishonest, unprofessional, and harmful to his clients. I believe consumers deserve to be fully informed before trusting someone with permanent artwork on their bodies. My advice to anyone considering this artist is simple: do not market yourself as a high-end specialist in detailed, large-scale, full-body tattoo work unless your skills, experience, and results consistently support those claims. Clients place tremendous trust in artists, and permanent artwork requires honesty, competence, and accountability. Shame

I couldn't be happier with my tattoo and how I was treated and cared for by Hanz. I trusted him to…read moredo a cover up of a cover up and he exceeded all expectations! He is incredibly skilled and experienced, fair, honest, listens respectfully and follows through on his word. He did exactly what he said he would do all throughout the process, he responded quickly and in depth regarding all my questions and concerns. He's a real professional and gifted artist and an interesting individual to boot.
