I have not been tattooed by this shop yet, but I don't think I have ever had a more positive first…read moreencounter than I did today. I do have 12 tattoos from maybe 7 different artists, so I'm familiar with the process. I wish all shops treated their clients/potential clients the way I was treated. Very, very friendly, open and welcoming! I was not made to feel like I was a nuisance or insane because I had questions. I walked in hoping to speak with the artist Jami Owen and she took great care to listen to what I was looking for, even though she was consulting with a past client. She was very respectful and transparent and made me feel very comfortable. I strongly feel the way an artist talks to you on your first visit is indicative of how the tattoo process will go with them. It's only a matter of time before I book with Jami and this shop . I really liked the vibe of the shop and this artist, most visits lead me to never wanting to return, but this was such a breath of fresh air! Great job to ownership and staff, you doing it right!

The shop is fantastic and I loved the layout with multiple artists in one room. I contacted Brad and told him I needed to cancel indefinitely (this was a week and a half before the appointment). I go to the website and screenshot the blurb about deposits and the word "nonrefundable" was nowhere to be found. THE NEXT DAY, THE WORD "NONREFUNDABLE"WAS ON THEIR WEBSITE IN BOLD LETTERS. Nice try, dude. I messaged the owner, Doc, and he gave me the same crap story, even when I pointed out that was never in writing on the website. That's how you run a business?! Avoid this place! This individual presented himself as a professional artist, yet my experience was the complete…read moreopposite. I paid substantial deposits and trusted him with existing artwork that was meaningful to me. Instead of improving it, he altered designs, changed shapes, and damaged pieces that were already completed, all while criticizing the work of previous artists. When I raised concerns, rather than taking responsibility for obvious mistakes, he deflected, made excuses, and brought up matters unrelated to the quality of his work. During tattoo sessions, while I was enduring significant pain, he would assure me that he was making the artwork better. Unfortunately, I later discovered that many of those changes had permanently compromised the original designs. The consequences extended far beyond the tattoo chair. I spent thousands of dollars on removal treatments and endured additional physical pain, emotional distress, and mental strain in an attempt to correct the damage. During that process, I also met others who claimed to have had similar negative experiences and were seeking tattoo removal after work they were unhappy with, at Removery tattoo removal and fading in Knoxville. Ultimately, I chose to walk away and have had no contact with him since. In my opinion, his conduct was dishonest, unprofessional, and harmful to his clients. I believe consumers deserve to be fully informed before trusting someone with permanent artwork on their bodies. My advice to anyone considering this artist is simple: do not market yourself as a high-end specialist in detailed, large-scale, full-body tattoo work unless your skills, experience, and results consistently support those claims. Clients place tremendous trust in artists, and permanent artwork requires honesty, competence, and accountability. Shame
