Okay here is a recent review! I feel like most of these reviews are old. So if you have a scheduled non emergency visit the wait time is about 10 minutes. If you called to get squeezed in because something is going on with your child or needed it can be a long wait because she has to tend to what she already has going on in her office. The thing that I love about Doctor is also the thing that others are making negative reviews about. She takes her time with my kids!!! She does a full evaluation of them. She interacts with them. Asking so many questions. This is why we stay with her. Also, when we message her online it takes about two days to hear back but she will send prescriptions in for us through there if needed! I just adore Dr Novesteras! I have 3 children, with my oldest being 7, and she has been their pediatrician ever since. The staff is always so friendly and the receptionist is awesome. I love how homey it feels when I get there. Every time I see Dr Novesteras she always asks me how Im doing as well & she has great memory! Makes me feel special that she remembers certain things I've mentioned in the past. When I had my 3rd, she came after hours, late at night to meet my newborn & check on my well being. We shared a priceless moment that night. I will continue to choose her for my kids! read more

Pésimo servicio, no escucha tus preocupaciones , se niega a dar referencias a terapias para pacientes con special needs, es una persona burlona , trata mal a los padres, no respeta al paciente ni a los padres, cita a muchos niños a la misma hora, hay que esperar mucho para que te atienda y es ruda y grosera con sus comentarios. Su secretaria es como la doctora, déspota, altanera,te hacen sentir muy mal, como si le estuvieras pidiendo de limosna sus servicios, cobran por pedir justificantes médicos para la escuela , jamas me había tocado esto antes. Very bad service, and one of the receptionist very rude, I think she's old and looks tired In my opinion the Doctor don't care patients only the money my daughter was very sick for 11 days very high fever and Doctor Novasteres prescribed Tylenol, Tylenol, after that I went emergency room and my daughter has infection. I never recommended to any body. read more

I have been coming here since my daughter was born in 2020 and for the most part its been fine (except the LONG waits even when you have an appt) but just recently my daughter was sick and so I asked if I could have a dr. note to provide her teacher for her missing sessions and they didnt want me to bring her in, so they had me pay a $35 co payment fee for a 2 min call instead. When I called back to ask for the note they said I would have to pick it up (they dont even email like everyone does these days) AND then proceeded to tell me there is a $10 charge for the note. I have Sutter and Kaiser and have NEVER had to pay for a dr.s note. They explained theres a charge for the Dr.s time and supplies lol. So basically im being charged for taking up 2 mins of the doctors time to write 3 sentences. And supplies??? You're charging me for the actual paper itself? That is beyond ridiculous. Great medical asst- the doctor ask questions and breaks its down so u can understand what and why? My daughter enjoyed her visit their for her daughter, this was her daughter first visit, she got 3 shots. But it was great read more

The staff is very friendly. Dr. Novesteras was very pleasant and takes her time to listen. I have a child under 2, who might not be the best cooperative child for exams but they were patient and found ways around it. I would definitely recommend the doctor. read more

I was referred to Dr. Novesteras by a friend about 11 years ago and have experienced exceptional and professional service for the care of my three boys. Dr. Novesteras is patient, kind, and knowledgeable. She works long hours and fits patients into her schedule who didn't have appointments because they are very worried about the health of their little ones. Her staff is able to answer minor concerns over the phone to avoid unnecessary trips and I have been impressed with how well her receptionist remembers clients. I highly recommend Dr. Novesteras. read more

So--I came to their office to get a copy of my son's immunization record and they charge me $10 just for one piece of paper- not even decent looking like in an envelope with a logo in it or something. I asked the lady why they are charging $10 and she said they need to do it because requests like that are taking much of their time looking for files. Really?? That's your job, Juliana. And it's so easy to locate files coz it's all in your system not like going to files that piled up in the back room. And to top it all, $10 is a rip off for just one piece of paper that doesn't have a logo and an envelope -- at least make it look professional! Nothing personal with Doctor Novesteras but you can hire better ones. A more mature and friendly one. Your front desk staff needs more coaching and training. Just saying. read more

I've come here for the past two years. And it's always been a long wait. I feel the dr is good but unfortunately front desk isn't very friendly and the wait is awfully. This is the third time in a row that I've had to wait over 1.5 hours to be seen. The have lost yet another patient. read more

This is not a review of Dr. Novesteras service but rather one of her office staff - given that we never made it passed the front desk... I made a first-time patient appointment for my daughter here and the office called me to reschedule it because of a power outrage.... I attempted to call and reschedule the second appointment again (because we were in the middle of moving) but when I called, I always got the answering machine and the voicemail box was constantly full. Couldn't even leave a message. This morning I decided to just take a drive down to the office and schedule the appointment in person. The Front office lady was on a personal call (hence, probably why my call wasn't getting answered.) When I shared the purpose of my visit, She proceeded to raise her voice at me telling me that I didn't have the decency the call and cancel my daughter's appointment and that I had prevented others from being scheduled. In shock, I gently reminded her that the purpose I drove down to the office was to schedule an appointment in person BECAUSE of the fact that I couldn't even leave a message and my calls were not returned. She then told me that the Doctor/Patient relationship was getting "ugly" because I didn't call the cancel. Mind you, we've never been there before and my daughter has never been seen there. How could Doctor/Patient relationship be "ugly" and we've never been seen?! Wow. Completely appalled. I told her I was just going to find another doctor for my daughter..... I stood there for a a few minutes typing a reminder on my phone, and I could hear her irritation as she continued on her personal phone call... Thankfully, I was able to get a same-day appointment for my daughter at a wonderful Pediatrician's office .... I briefly mentioned my very bad experience earlier this morning to their front office staff thanking them for their helpfulness (without saying Dr Novesteras name) and they totally guessed it! Apparently, they have gained a lot of patients because of Dr Novesteras front office unprofessionalism and flat out rudeness. Sadly for Dr Novesteras, she's losing business because of her front office. read more

What?! I'm a little shocked at some of the negative reviews on here and bummed that her yelp page doesn't give her the proper credit she deserves. Especially the part where they say Dr. Novesteras "lacks" knowledge. I don't find that true at all. In fact, it's kind of funny because I was only drawn to her yelp page for the sole purpose of wanting to comment on how highly knowledgeable I thought she was. I can say this because she was able to answer a lot of the questions and concerns I had. Anyway, Dr. Novesteras is definitely the best in town! It is rare to find doctors who take pride in what they do, and go above and beyond their call of duty. She not only takes her time with you, but goes out of her way to make sure both parent and child is comfortable with their visit. If you really care about the well-being of your child, choose Dr. Novesteras! I promise you won't regret it ;) read more

As far as the basics go, Dr. Novesteras is somewhat able, anything more and she is downright horrid. I am currently seeking who to notify about her. Due to her severe lack of knowledge, she completely ignored the signs that my son had Type 1 Diabetes. Thankfully due to my own personal knowledge of the disease, I was able to keep my child from going into a coma. She completely ignored the signs and all but dismissed him entirely. Without my forcing and prodding she would have sent us on our way. As it turned out, my 4 year old son, does in fact have Type 1 Diabetes. read more

I took my child here after a change in insurance. So when it came time to a new Dr. I read through reviews and Dr.Novesteras seemed like she would be a good choice. I only saw one bad review. So I thought maybe it just happened to be an off day. However, the one bad review was far more accurate. She really just has basic knowledge. She used her charts on the wall as the only possible measure for a child's ability, not accounting for other circumstances in their life(disabilities etc..) She had to use the computer after asking her nurse if they knew what something was that she as the Dr. should know. She was also complaining in the front (where all patients can hear) about patients she had seen early (including names). Overall she made my child feel uncomfortable. Her staff seems friendly enough. But if you have more than a cold please don't bother. We will not be returning. read more

Dr. Helene Novesteras continues to be the most caring, loving doctor we have ever met and we know some great doctors like Dr. Rosetti another wonderful wonderful doctor and human being.... I find some of these reviews to be a bit much. I was a patient of doctor Novestares throughout my childhood and now my little brother goes to see her when he's sick. In regards to the review which mentions not being able to get through via phone in the morning, if you didnt know, 8:30 is when the phone lines actually open; therefore, if you try to call before then, you would not get through. The front desk staff are some of the most helpful and compassiante people I have had the pleasure to work with in any doctors offices. I myself work in a clinic and know how frustrating it can be when someone reschedules and cancels multiple times. read more

Initially I liked the way she interacted with my children but that was a one or two time occurrence. She is doesn't take her time, doesn't listen well and dismissive. Part of being a good pediatrician is listening and communicating with the parents. Waits are often long. The office staff is rude and unprofessional. They also seem quite inexperienced with modern day pediatric practices. I had to fire her but would use her in an emergency that doesn't require a hospital visit. I prefer to travel out of town than go the Dr. Novesteras's office. read more
