We did most of the communicating via email and it was very simple and enjoyable to have everything in email so that I could look back to remind myself what we talked about. They were super easy to work with. Very responsive. And the proofs on my signs were beautiful. They did a professional installation & were super accommodating in every way. They even delivered our extra rider signs with little S-hooks to hand them (in addition to the "OPEN" rider, we purchased five extra ones for special events, with our hours, etc.). They're pricing is very reasonable and I don't think I'll use another company in the future because the experience was so good, I can't imagine going anywhere else for sign needs! I am a small business owner in Petaluma, Ca. My store is located on a street that serves as a…read morecornerstone of activity for downtown.  Having recently acquired this location we were in need of representation in the form of a professional sign. We did not want to have a cookie cutter sign that would only blend into the sea of signs already present on Kentucky street.   As luck would have it John of Petaluma signs parked in front of our Boutique. While our research on options for getting the exact sign we were looking for had been unsuccessful. Jon and Erin quickly put all of our angst at rest with a simple personable conversation.   John and Erin put us at ease within moments, speaking with a professional ease that conveyed the confidence we were seeking. After a short discovery conversation Erin suggested a few spins on what we were seeking which we found amazing.   We accepted the bid and quickly followed up with a request to expedite our new sign to be in place before our Grand Opening / Ribbon Cutting event. John and Erin did not miss a beat and went right to work for us. To our surprise when they arrived to install our new totally awesome sign, we discovered the magic that is John. The custom bracket he created for our sign is both equine and artistic. John truly hit the nail on the head with this design.   From the moment of our 1st interaction through the installation and payment process, we could not have asked for a more professional experience. Just to heap one more scoop of praise on to John and Erin. My wife and I felt as if we were dealing with personal friends throughout the entire process.  You simply can't put a price tag on the intangibles that John and Erin bring to the game.  Well played Petaluma Sign Company!

The gentleman who came seemed great, but he didn't send me a quote. One week later, I hadn't heard anything from them. After calling to ask if I could get my quote, the Owner (I believe) told me that they may "take a pass," on our projects. When I asked why, she said they "do this all of the time." She sent a follow-up email blaming it on their schedule and workload, but I had not even given them a delivery schedule. It was a super disappopinting experience. My advice - if you plan on getting a quote from them for a commercial project, get quotes from competitors as well. Be aware that this company evidently chooses to "take a pass" on projects often.

Dick emailed me back and said, "my designer has been out sick for 3 weeks so I suggest you try another printer". WHAT? Why didn't Dick tell me this when I first contacted him? I told him my time frame and if he couldn't get it done by then he should have told me up front. Luckily I found FedEx on 4th. Street and Greg.
