Currently solo traveling throughout Montreal and I loved this spot. I decided to stray away from my itinerary and try this cafe out & I am so glad I did. Upon walking in, the team (Marco and Rocco) were immediately so welcoming and kind, I felt comfortable right away. I ordered the pistachio donut and matcha latte w/ almond milk & I'd recommend both. The donut was delicious with the perfect amount of pistachio filling and just the right amount of sweetness. The matcha was also really good. The atmosphere is chill and cozy, and it's such a good third space whether you're coming alone or with friends. The cafe feels family owned! Highly recommend. read more

I loved the vibes of Cafe Novanta! It was very homey and there were a lot of customers that you can tell are regulars and so they had a good relationship with the baristas. Also, everyone was incredibly nice and kind! Unfortunately, I was not the biggest fan of the food. I did appreciate that there were plenty of seating and feel like this is a good place to work. - Panini with Prosciutto, etc. - I wasn't the biggest fan of this panini. I felt like there was a bit too much bread-to-filling ratio and it all was a bit dry. - Capuccino a emporter - I'm not sure what an emporter is, but my friends informed me that it means that the beans are from elsewhere. I can't really taste the difference to be honest, but this was a solid cappuccino. I ordered the 12oz size and couldn't finish it so would recommend sizing down. I met up with a friend here for coffee last week and we felt so welcome that we ended up staying longer then anticipated and eating an early dinner too! Initially I had ordered a cafe latte, but eventually ended up ordering a slice of the Pizza Margherita. I had only heard praises for the chef from friends and acquaintances and I finally know what they meant! It was absolutely delicious!! The person serving us was warm, energetic and thoughtful. He refused the tip at the end, and I had to push him to accept!! Can't wait to return to eat more of the pizza, to try their famous Bagel with Salmon and everything else they have to offer!! read more

What struck me most at Novanta was the warm welcome. The guy who served me (Marco?) is very energetic and friendly. I was there for a couple of hours in the middle of the week. Many of the customers were regulars there and the owner knew them by name and made their regular drinks. Some of them stayed for a short chat (more than talking about the weather). I also liked the pop playlist quite a bit. They have a nice collection of pastries. They serve pizza, panini and breakfast as well, though I haven't tried them yet. The ambience is cool, with several tables throughout the place and high chairs by the large windows up front. The prices are reasonable. There are shelves on one of the walls, lined with small Italian goodies of various sorts. It adds to the character of the place. Overall, it is a tasteful neighbourhood cafe and a good place to catch up with a friend or work a bit. read more

Great classic cafe! The server was super nice and made conversation with everyone that walked in! Very good coffee and has a good amount of pastry's and breakfast food. The cappuccino and americano tasted great and above average. We got the salmon bagel and the ham, cheese and egg bagel. Both were flavorful and solid choices. This new café is full of Italian delicacies, from delicious coffee to tasty cannolis, bagels, pizzas, etc. They even have a section where you can buy Italian products! We stopped by over the weekend and had fantastic service and delicious coffee! Definitively recommend stopping by for a quick bite, or for a cozy study spot. A small Italian invation in the heart of the pmateau. I was walking with my sun...a little gloomy outside and well felt like coffe. I never noticed this place so I said lets give it a try. The service may be a little slow but it is worth the waiting. Loved the coffe and the biscotti (needed a break from croissants) was just as it should be. The prices are more tge reasonable I mean 3$ for a latte is very good. Lots of candy and stuff from italy that not only create a nice atmosphere they are also delicious. This place is as good as it gets in Montreal. Warmest welcome from Marco and Rocco as you enter, in the winter it's always an amazingly warm escape. Smell of amazing coffee and pizza cooking in the back. Probably the best pizza I've eaten in North America, Rocco is a master. All the Italian goodies that you won't find anywhere else, such an awesome selection. Everything is reasonably priced, gourmet sizeable pizza slice under $5? Crazy good. Really busy at times, but you never feel left out or forgotten. There's just a really great atmosphere that the lads have created. We'll miss this place leaving Montreal! read more

They just opened a week ago, located in Outremont, Laurier West. We desperately needed modern, classy and trendy cafe shop like this in Outremont.. I love the atmosphere, love the decor inside and very pretty and comfortable stools beside the window.
