Do NOT be fooled by the quartz countertops -- this is not luxury housing. It is effectively Section 9 housing with cosmetic upgrades, paired with illegal financial practices and severe sanitation failures. We have now been forced to hire a lawyer due to management's conduct. Management has been unprofessional and dismissive, even when health code violations are reported.
Management illegally misallocated our funds, then harassed us to repay money we had already paid in full by cashier's check. Months later, they claimed our deposit was "misapplied," blocked our ability to pay rent, and attempted to rewrite our lease to reduce the amount they admit we paid.
Our mediation with the City of Longmont focused entirely on disputed charges that should never have existed. Five adults in the room, all with college degrees, were unable to make sense of the money ledger, which mediators deemed too confusing to resolve. Because of this, we hired a lawyer, taking time and money from my Special Education career. Do not expect customer service here--complaints about legal, safety, or sanitation issues are often met with laughter, refusal, dismissal, or even police involvement.
Another tenant paid for a $75 carport and was instead charged a full month's rent without consent. Management kept that money for over a month before returning it, showing a pattern of financial misallocation.
The building is unsanitary at all hours, every day. Elevators contain dog feces and human urine. Sex toys--vibrators, dildos, and butt plugs--are left in common areas. Floors are rarely cleaned, and when they are, mopping spreads contamination rather than removing it.
Bodily fluids from a sexual act were left in a public stairwell for 58 days. Management did not sanitize the area, failed to notify staff, and called police instead. I asked three staff members to accompany me on three separate occasions; all refused. The fluids were only removed after tenants smeared them across handrails.
A friend experienced raw sewage flooding into a first-floor unit, running down walls and seeping into baseboards. Management did not remove contaminated materials or decontaminate the unit, only set up fans to "dry it out," ignoring requests for proper repairs.
Almost every resident I have spoken to has faced problems: missing money, repeated charges, broken AC, heat, or lights, and non-functioning amenities like the pool or security systems.
I have updated this review over five times as new issues occur. Assume it has gotten worse--there are too many problems to list.
This complex has been open just over six months, yet it is unsafe, unsanitary, and financially reckless. Hiring an attorney to dispute a charge you already paid should not be necessary. Many tenants are afraid to leave reviews due to fear of retaliation. As you can see, I am not the only tenant whose experience here has been extremely negative. You've been warned. read more
