During the morning, while stripping the roof of its spent surface, the roofers used shovels, a leaf blower, or their hands to litter the old roofing onto the ground below completely without care for the surrounding area. They didn't even look before pushing things over the side and in one instance I was showered with roofing material from three floors above. When I tried to address it with one of the workers, I received an insincere apology delivered with a smile. I also overheard the supervisor say to the workers to let him know before they started laying the roof tiles so he could "show [them] how to do it." So you've hired roofers that don't know how to install roofing? No fault to my neighbors, of course. But it's clear that the company does not hire or train its workers to be skilled or courteous, so I would caution others when considering hiring them.

We ultimately chose them, over one of the large companies, because one of our big windows needed a sill replacement with some "custom carpentry" to get it level with an adjoining countertop. Virtually no other contractor said they could it. Window Man ended up nailing it. Install wise, they operated much better than the most recent contractor we used for a different window replacement, and the level of work was clearly much higher. Not just with the windows looking good but with little things like showing up on time and cleaning up.

They came out and replaced the vent and associated shingles. Great fix! Now, 25 years after moving into this as a new house, I needed a new roof. I got two estimates, one from Marshall. Marshall's representative, Doug, was so thorough and professional in his reprensentation to me and offered a solution re moviing the attic exhaust fan closer to the eave and keeping the ridge vent. The other estimator suggested removing the ridge vent. I wasn't comfortable not having a ridge vent. I again went with Marshall. It was a two day job. They dedicated a more than sufficient crew to the job. The guys were so attentive to protecting against falling shingles as they were stripped from the roof. In short, they did an excellent job! I had absolutely nothing to be concerned about with Marshall's professionalism as a company. And, there cost was lower than my other bid. I only got two bids as my past experience with Marshall and with Doug's representation made it a no-brainer! If you need a roof, go with Marshall.

When he discovered a problem that was not foreseen by the estimator he had to run out to get a part but came back promptly and finished the job on schedule. Although this specific element was not included in the original estimate, Jose installed it without fuss and did not charge for the part or his extra labor. Where can you find that kind of responsibility these days? I would never call anyone but Marshall!

We'd had trouble getting a contractor for such a small job before, so I appreciated that. They were able to come for an estimate the day after I called, and scheduled installation very quickly after the glass arrived less than a week later. The work was done in under a half hour, looks great, and they left no mess or trace at all. The total cost was $295, which felt reasonable to me. I asked for a premium product initially and realized it wasn't in my price range at all. He reworked promptly the quote for a different slider at a lower price point. I was having an inner slider removed as well as the outer slider replaced and wasn't expecting any door company to do any of the trim/painting after removal. He also stated his people could do that no problem. I had had multiple quotes his came within range of the others (better than most of them) but with a fiberglass door instead of vinyl which from what I could research is a better material. Because of COVID-19 the wait was 10 weeks out and the install was done within the time he quoted. The install men came on the day promised and were polite. They replaced the outside door, removed the inside door, and installed and painted trim. It looked so good I handed the guy the second check before he handed me the keys for the outside (now only) slider. The only thing I am a little iffy on is if the new Marvin door will last. It was immediately after installation allowing water into the inner sill for a stationary piece of the slider through a hole between the moving door piece's base/sill (it seemed to be a manufacturing defect?). The company did respond promptly and fixed that issue, but I'm not sure it will be a permanent solution.

She just wanted someone to come out and see if it could be fixed. She lives less than 2 miles form Hodges. They took all my contact info then transferred me to "Con" and I left a voicemail. Then I got a text asking if I wanted to continue the conversation by text and I said yes. After that, nothing. No person returned my call. No further text about setting something up. No email. Zero customer service, so I'll block their number and move on to someone else. Wanted to shop local, but guess not.
