We took a printmaking course here tonight. It was so much fun to get out of the house and do some crafts! Nova is a non profit community arts center where you can go to meet smart creative people and make some art together. They require vaccine proof, groups are kept small, and the environment is mask positive... so its a very safe space to enjoy an evening with nice people making art. They have a growing schedule of courses so keep checking back. Its best to book your reservation as soon as you see a class come up. This was a fun evening and just what I needed after a long lockdown. I am coming back soon and so should you. Double highly recommend.

I was certainly moved by many of the works and I wish I lived closer to this art gallery so I can see it everyday! I loved that the art is from a variety of creatives and promotes a variety of voices! Additionally, there's paintings, eccentric art, food art, photography, wood, and so much more! I HIGHLY recommend visiting. Oh and guess what? It's FREE, that's right you don't pay a thing! I'd pay to see this, it's that beautiful here. I cannot get over the value of the art, this was a priceless experience. The gallery is also very spacious and clean. There's a restroom and front desk for any questions. The gallery is also located in the central part of the Barnsdall Park and is easily accessible. I didn't like the staff, most of them are extremely awkward or rude. No "hellos" here, just angry faces and stuffy staff. However, don't let them deter you, think of the value and how amazing the experience is and you'll be fine! :)

I had sprained my left ankle, so I called BAC's main office to notify them & the young man who answered coordinated security to find me on the premises & called an ambulance. I notified him that I was unable to attend class at this time & for the near future because I would be unable to maneuver with crutches. Fast forward to today, I was notified that my Fall Class registration was flagged & I would not be allowed to register until Winter. I called the same office that helped me before and was greeted by a rude receptionist that refused to make an exception for my Fall class registration. Suffice it to say, I will never be attending BAC again or supporting their events from this day forward. This is a warning to anyone that has dealt with this organization.

She was kind and helpful, and you can tell she really loves and knows her craft well! It was an intimate setting, and it was a fun experience to learn about one process of candle making. At the end of the night, you get to go home with your own hand poured candle that you created. The intention setting part of the workshop was very peaceful and created an opportunity to reflect on the past year and be intentional about something you'd like to foster for yourself in this new year. Excellent class and I'd return to this studio for another one. However, $70 may be a bit steep for some for a workshop like this.

Eventually, I stumbled upon a dress in a style & fabric I loved BUT, given my ample top, it didn't come close to zipping up in the back. In a moment of inspiration, I decided to take a chance. I bought TWO of the exact same dress and turned to expert seamstress/miracle worker Lauren Fonville to take the fabric from one of the dresses to add to the other one to make it fit. The results of this Frankenstein fashion experiment...jaw-droppingly phenomenal!!! Lauren dared to take on this epic challenge and totally knocked it outta the park! Lauren, words can't adequately convey my gratitude to you for saving the day and sending me off in style to this very special event. I will enthusiastically recommend you to any and everyone looking for a fairy dressmaker! You're absolutely AH-mazing!!!
