I know this review is long, but if you care about your face, please read all of it so you don't suffer the deformity I have as a result of the facelift I had by Dr. Chang. I chose Dr. Chang because I thought he showed genuine interest in improving my face and he seemed to really listen to my concerns. I couldn't have been more wrong. For two weeks after the surgery, the left side of my head was INTENSELY painful and continued to bleed. I had a friend take pictures, and TWO ENDS OF TWO OF THE STAPLES WERE ACTUALLY IN MY INCISION!! I actually cried out in pain when he removed them! I AM LEFT WITH ONE EAR THAT IS A HALF INCH LOWER THAN THE OTHER ONE AND NOW STICKS OUT , and MY LOBES ARE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT! They look like two different ears! It is VERY noticeable and now my glasses tilt! At first when I complained about my ears, he told me they were probably always like that and I just hadn't noticed! Believe me, I have scrutinized my face for OVER 50 YEARS! I know what my ears look like! Then he said he could fix them, so he knew there had been a mistake. At my visit last week when I cataloged all of the errors, he told me he would do nothing differently! He put my glasses on my face and ACTUALLY PRESSED THE LEFT ARM DOWN ON MY HIGHER EAR TO MAKE THE GLASSES LINE UP (they didn't) to show me I was mistaken! I was stupefied! My eye doctor has never had to adjust the arms of my glasses to have them sit evenly on my face! My ears have always been even! I still have bags under my eyes, I still have loose skin under my chin, and one eye is still partially hooded. At the initial visit, he looked at the front of my head and asked me if I frequently wore my hair up, and I said yes. He then told me that he would shave my hair slightly behind the hairline above my ear to hide the scar. After the surgery when I saw that the incision had actually been placed in FRONT of my hairline, I expressed my distress; he then told me he was looking at the BACK of my head when he asked me that question. Who cares about the back of your head when you're wearing your hair up? Who would be looking there? After that, I stopped trusting him. At my last visit, I once more expressed my (now) outrage at the errors, he said he should've managed my expectations. I told him if he had told me at the beginning, at our first consult, that these errors were something I could expect from the surgery, I would've been out the door like a bat out of hell! I am so MISERABLE that I entrusted MY FACE to this doctor! I keep asking myself, Can this be fixed? Can some other plastic surgeon undo the damage caused by Dr. Chang? God, I hope so. Believe me, I pray every day that my face can be fixed. It's all I think about. I can't believe this happened. Please, women, don't be fooled by his "caring", "compassionate" demeanor. Take a lesson (a hard, unnecessary lesson) from me and save yourself the HEARTACHE of a damaged face. read more

Dr Chang has no interest in filler and although I booked an appointment w him specifically I was sent to the nurse practitioner under [very little of] his supervision. Although she was enthusiastic I was not happy w her placement w cheek filler. Also experienced complication from masseter botox for which I went back 3 x (final time with chang) to try to correct to no avail. 2k out of pocket and very disappointed. read more

I want to share my positive experiences with Nouveau Medispa. I have had numerous treatments with various members of Dr Chang's extremely talented staff. I have gotten Botox, filler, facials, sclerotherapy and laser treatments. All were a success. The processes were explained to me in great detail. I've only been to the independently owned skincare spa where I was forced to buy the esthetician's expensive products that don't even work on my skin type...don't get me wrong. I love supporting local, independently owned businesses...but my budget is limited. And who doesn't hate pouring money into something that doesn't return your investment?.. I was very skeptical when the esthetician here first offered me to try out the serum instead of a treatment. I have been a long time patient of Dr. Chang, I recently called to schedule a consultation appointment as I am not sure what treatment would be the best for me, I was put on hold for over 10 minutes of which I had to hang up due to another call. I had called back only to be put back on hold for another 8 minutes. I explained to the receptionist what I was looking to do and she places me on hold to ask her medical person which treatment was for me only to never come back to the phone. I went into a voicemail from that point of which I pressed 1 to speak to someone. Finally someone else answered the phone only to tell me I needed a consultation (which was my initial call) from there she proceeds to tell me that Dr. Chang now charges for consultations and if I did need or schedule a surgery the fee would go towards the cost of the procedure. I am highly irritated with Nouveau Medispa at this moment, and I will be going elsewhere at this time. read more

Had two sessions of Ultrashape Power done without results. Didn't go through with the 3rd session. Regretted the time and money wasted. Before my 1st session, Nouveau tried to call the company who sold the machine with some questions. She could not reach any person to speak to for over an hour. This should have been the first sign to not to do it. I went for the 1st session anyway and left with a superficial wound/scar on my belly for many weeks from the girdle used during the procedure. I was instructed to lie very still on my back during the procedure, it was extremely uncomfortable without any support under the legs. The 2nd session was not a smooth one. I remember how uncomfortable it was during the 1st session, so I asked for a pillow to put underneath my knees. The machine would not work and was being temperamental. I lay there for over 30 minutes waiting for the machine to get started. This is just one more sign that I should not have gone through with it but I did. The regular price for each session is $1000 and there was a promotion going on at that time, so I paid $750/session. I felt very foolish to have wasted so much of money and time with Nouveau Medispa and Ultrashape Power. read more

I highly recommend Dr. Chang as a plastic surgeon who performed a partial facelift on me in his office under local. He asked me numerous times during consultation and prior to the procedure, what do I want done to my face? He "fixed" only what I wanted which was skin hanging on my neck, remove joules and outer lip lines. I am very happy with the results. Thank-you Dr. Chang.
