Mother of All Burgers: Avocado, sweet potato fries, bacon,cheese, Man! Nice fresh tasting burger. I swapped my fries for Onion Rings. They are perfectly friend and golden! Mium! Burger of the month: Nugget garish at the top, 2 beef patties, grilled onions, cheese, pickles and special sauce. Tasted like an elevated Big Mac. The only negative was the jerk fries my husband ordered, there were like 12 fries and they didn't taste as crispy and fresh as everything else we had. We visited last night and unfortunately had a disappointing experience compared to our previous visits. The food quality was not the same as before, and there was hair in one of the dishes, which was very unpleasant. Service was also lacking, as the waitress was not attentive and seemed to have her back turned to us most of the time. When we mentioned the issue, the response felt cold and dismissive. I've come here twice for supper and I've had a great experience both times. Honestly, I was surprised because I hadn't heard good things from friends and family. But in my opinion, this place is great. Both times I've come I've made my own burger. I don't want to brag but I think my creation is unbeatable. I got freshly ground beef, lettuce, sautéed mushrooms, caramelized onions, cheddar cheese, bacon, mac n' cheese, avocado, ketchup and mayo. I almost put an egg on it but my burger was already so huge so I held off. Maybe next time :) I also got a side of tatter tots (the basket) to split with my boyfriend. The portion size is huge. We didn't even make a dent in it (probably because our burgers were gigantic). I recommend just substituting fries for tatter tots rather than getting the basket because it was way more than we needed. The service by the waitresses is wonderful. They are pretty cute too, hihi! The food is also very tasty, and there is a good selection of brunch dishes. The biggest complaint is against management, for choosing very unwisely, to open VERY LATE, at 10:00am! Brunch places should be open latest by 9:00am! I am rating 4 stars because the food is very good, the service is very good and the ambience is very good. The burgers are creative and well put together so no matter what you order you will be happy. The service is quick and responsive even during hectic business lunches. I was looking forward to eating at NBDG for a long time and ended up with just a satisfactory feeling. I ordered the in-house veggie patty, which I must say was nice to see on the menu instead of some premade frozen equivalent. The taste however was so-so. The fries were good and we tried all three varieties (regular, sweet potato, tater tots) however they were nothing special. In fact one of the takeout bags of fries had a very predominant cinnamon taste to it, so consistency might be a problem. Although they do have a varied menu that should accommodate most the focus is on the burger. Lots of options there too... beef, chicken, fish, veggie and even the Beyond Burger. You can choose from one of their creations or build your own from the ground up. They also have a gluten free (GF) bun and even a special GF fryer for the french fries (on request) - now that's pretty cool and progressive! My family and I had dinner there for the first time last Friday. Hubby had the La Vid Loca with jerk fries, I had the Biblical Brie with sweet potato fries, and the kids has the regular burger (kid's menu) with a side basket of tater tots. The burgers were delicious, fresh and juicy. I wish there was more Brie in mine though instead of a teaspoon-sized piece but I was still satisfied (bacon was crisp!). My hubby thought his sandwich was heavy because of the plantains (but he finished the whole thing). If you order the tater tots for the kids, make sure to ask them not to put any seasoning (tad spicy for them). It wasn't indicated on the menu but when we mentioned it to our server, he replaced them with plain ones. We would've tried their desserts but we were too full. We made a reservation here over a month ago because we've worked as servers in the past and understand that a group takes some preparation . We organized a Birthday with 20 people. Do not eat here if you're going as a group. It took over an hour to even get offered a drink. Half the table received 3 drinks while the other half remained unserved. We paid for bottomless and the majority of the time our drinks were empty. When they were served they were warm and mostly juice.Food was good, bus boys were great at refilling water. Service was terrible, rude. Management was unapologetic. Two people in our party had to leave early because they did not get served before they had other engagements. First time here and it's not bad but it's not that great either. The BG (bloody good) burger is underwhelming and overpriced at $9 (no side included). The jerk fries with basil mayonnaise were delicious but they're version of In-n-outs famous animal fries was culinary sacrilege. Their secret sauce was powdery and they applied way too much of it. Their chicken was the strong point of the meal, it was moist chicken breast with a superb crunchy coating cooked to perfection enjoyed by all who ordered it.
