You walk in and there's a clothing store on one side and black curtains straight ahead. I just stood there confused for a second until someone suddenly appeared and escorted me through the curtains, down a long dark hallway, and into this intimate, dimly lit bar. Turns out, I had accidentally stumbled into a speakeasy. The space is tiny--maybe 6-8 seats at the bar and a long banquet along the wall for 10-12 more people. No menus either. They ask what you like and don't like, then craft a cocktail specifically for you. The pours are generous and the bar is stocked with top-shelf liquor. About a drink and a half in, I realized I needed actual food immediately and had to leave. The staff was friendly, personable, and chatty, and because the space is so intimate, you naturally end up talking with the people around you. Definitely more of a solo or date-night spot than a group hang. Such a cool, unexpected experience.

We walked in on Friday night and were greeted by the owner. He's a very attentive host and went above and beyond explaining each dish and how fresh they were. We ended up ordering the beef tartare with seared scallops and steak. It was to die for. The steak was accompanied by their homemade sauce. The owner paired both of our dishes with the perfect wine, it was his suggestion by the way. We topped everything off with two massive cheesecakes for desert. We both left this place satisfied! We will definitely come back again, especially in the summer where you can sit close to the docks and watch the boats sail by!
