OREO Cookies & Cream Bundt Cake: Nothing Bundt Cakes (NBC) has become one of my favorite guilty pleasures. I especially enjoy their individual sized "bundtlets". With this fan favorite flavor, NBC takes their traditional white cake and stuffs it with OREO cookie pieces (along with their amazing cream cheese frosting). The cake itself is a white cake that I would actually argue is a light yellow. To be honest, I was a little surprised they didn't go with a chocolate base flavor with it being an OREO cake. I'm not complaining as I prefer yellow cake. I was initially skeptical that OREO pieces were in it as it kind of looked simply like chocolate cake combined with white cake. I could not have been further from the truth though as the cookie pieces offer a distinct, crisp texture. Further evidence was provided when I found a piece of OREO cookie that had some of the distinct cream filling still with it. One of the best aspects of NBC's cakes is the exceptional moistness of the cakes and that holds true with this one. There's the same great ratio of sweet cream cheese frosting to cake, with the pièce de résistance being a giant dollop on its summit. This is slightly deceitful and the first time I saw the bundt cakes I thought they would need more of their signature cream cheese frosting, but trust me, there's plenty (and I'm a frosting nut). If it's a special occasion such as birthday wedding etc, save yourse the time headache and money. I ordered the cupcakes with a special message card and a bouquets of balloons. I didnt get the card a paid for the balloons all started popping once I walked out of there. when I tried asking for another set of balloons or even a refund. I didn't get neither. If you haven't tried this place for your sweet tooth, what are you waiting for?? It's not a huge place by size but definitely huge in taste. The cakes come in at least 3 sizes and have quite a few flavors. There is always a sample table for you to try the amazing cakes in bite sizes in a flavor of the day. Allison, one of the employees here, was a client of mine and was so very enthusiastic about her job that I decided to stop by and bring my business to her later on in the day. Purchasing a mini Bundt cake would be the perfect dessert for dinner with Dad tonight! This location like the others I've been to is petite, cute, quaint, and homey feeling, just like their cakes. It's a very pleasant, yet exciting space to shop ... or indulge. Nothing Bundt Cakes is worth stopping in for customer service alone! But at the end of the day, if the product isn't any good then you're not likely to spend any money. I'll be spending money here again. As noted in one of my photos, I polished off the last of the chocolate chocolate chip cake samples. Samples are something that every one of their stores offers everyday. It was absolutely delish! The sample was the linchpin for me deciding on one of the three cakes I purchased today: chocolate-chocolate chip, carrot, and seasonal special lemon-raspberry. Prices are very reasonable, by the way. Among other cakes, including gluten-free products and cupcakes, the store also offers various tchotchkes for gifts. After receiving a mailer about this place, my wife and I jumped in the car to check it out. We had heard about the opening on the radio, and wanted to support this former Gurnee teacher in her new business. And who doesn't like cake! The Bundt Cakes are absolutely delicious! And have have several sizes to choose from if you want to try smaller portions. We purchased Carrot, Lemon and Chocolate Chip and it's tough to pick a winner. We will definitely be back for more, and might order a decorated Bundt cake for an upcoming birthday. Definitely worth a few extra minutes on the spin bike!!! read more

We got married Memorial weekend on Sunday, so therefore they weren't open on Sunday, however they made an exception to deliver to our venue even though they weren't open that day which really saved us so much headache. First time ever coming to the establishment, very cute and artistic spot. I walked in, I was greeted by one employee. However I was talking on my cell phone when entering, in other words there was another customer who walked in after me. The lady at the cash register assisted the customer behind me instead of me first. She replied with a snarky comment "Well you're on the phone". I replied back to the women, I was here first and she proceeds with her nasty ass attitude. She finally decided assist me and ask what did I want, I told her I was picking up and order for my uncle. Listening like a fool to people that work at this establishment was obviously my mistake. Drove 30 min from a different location to arrive here for nothing to be ready. WOW, This is a brand new store and I have had two BAD experiences already. I am a huge fan of Nothing Bunt Cakes. I always go to Old Orchard and Deerfield stores. The first time I went to this store, they wouldn't do the punch card. Today, it is 6:00 and the manager is locking the door as I am reaching for the door. I literally begged her, pleaded, but no, too bad, they were closed. Did I mention 6:00 not 6:05. I understand that they close at 6:00, but it would not have killed her to let me make a quick purchase. While this store is convenient, I will never go there again.
