OREO Cookies & Cream Bundt Cake: Nothing Bundt Cakes (NBC) has become one of my favorite guilty pleasures. I especially enjoy their individual sized "bundtlets". With this fan favorite flavor, NBC takes their traditional white cake and stuffs it with OREO cookie pieces (along with their amazing cream cheese frosting). The cake itself is a white cake that I would actually argue is a light yellow. To be honest, I was a little surprised they didn't go with a chocolate base flavor with it being an OREO cake. I'm not complaining as I prefer yellow cake. I was initially skeptical that OREO pieces were in it as it kind of looked simply like chocolate cake combined with white cake. I could not have been further from the truth though as the cookie pieces offer a distinct, crisp texture. Further evidence was provided when I found a piece of OREO cookie that had some of the distinct cream filling still with it. One of the best aspects of NBC's cakes is the exceptional moistness of the cakes and that holds true with this one. There's the same great ratio of sweet cream cheese frosting to cake, with the pièce de résistance being a giant dollop on its summit. This is slightly deceitful and the first time I saw the bundt cakes I thought they would need more of their signature cream cheese frosting, but trust me, there's plenty (and I'm a frosting nut). This bundltet is phenomenal, and my favorite permanent flavor. Doughboy approved Doughboy_Food_Reviews My top bundt cakes: 1. OREO 2. Confetti tied 3. Churro Dulce de Leche 4. Easy to order, ordered in advance Cake ready on time ! Staff is excellent And cake was pretty and delicious !

It is nice to be able to get a decent cake already done. The extras are priced outrageously, but I still opted for that. The cake itself is very moist and was a hit with its recipients. The bakery knows it has a good product, but maybe if they either made it bigger or cheaper they would get more stars. read more

Amazing service and even more amazing cake! I came in to pick up my birthday cake and get my free birthday buntlet. Lauri helped me and she was great. We placed an order ahead and chose which decor I should put on my cake. They had a whole book full of options, and they take care of everything for you. I ordered the red velvet cake and it was a huge hit. These cakes are consistently moist, dense, and sweet. Love this place!!! read more

I walked in to claim a birthday bundt but was denied service because my "preferred" location was Lincoln Park. I wasn't going to be around that location anytime soon, I was only going to be in Gurnee for the time being. By the time I'll be back at Lincoln Park the reward will be expired. very unhappy. read more

If you haven't tried this place for your sweet tooth, what are you waiting for?? It's not a huge place by size but definitely huge in taste. The cakes come in at least 3 sizes and have quite a few flavors. There is always a sample table for you to try the amazing cakes in bite sizes in a flavor of the day. Service is always friendly and they are always eager to please and suggest items for you. The prices are fair and worth every penny. The mini cupcakes are the way to go! read more

Allison, one of the employees here, was a client of mine and was so very enthusiastic about her job that I decided to stop by and bring my business to her later on in the day. Purchasing a mini Bundt cake would be the perfect dessert for dinner with Dad tonight! I stopped by the store and while she was not working, one of her co-workers, Maddie, was equally as enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the store's products and the most popular flavors. This location like the others I've been to is petite, cute, quaint, and homey feeling, just like their cakes. It's a very pleasant, yet exciting space to shop ... or indulge. Nothing Bundt Cakes is worth stopping in for customer service alone! But at the end of the day, if the product isn't any good then you're not likely to spend any money. I'll be spending money here again. As noted in one of my photos, I polished off the last of the chocolate chocolate chip cake samples. Samples are something that every one of their stores offers everyday. It was absolutely delish! The sample was the linchpin for me deciding on one of the three cakes I purchased today: chocolate-chocolate chip, carrot, and seasonal special lemon-raspberry. Prices are very reasonable, by the way. Among other cakes, including gluten-free products and cupcakes, the store also offers various tchotchkes for gifts. It definitely is a one-stop-shop if you're on your way to dinner or a picnic or otherwise at someone's house, having company over or simply celebrating something special or celebrating life. read more

After receiving a mailer about this place, my wife and I jumped in the car to check it out. We had heard about the opening on the radio, and wanted to support this former Gurnee teacher in her new business. And who doesn't like cake! The Bundt Cakes are absolutely delicious! And have have several sizes to choose from if you want to try smaller portions. We purchased Carrot, Lemon and Chocolate Chip and it's tough to pick a winner. We will definitely be back for more, and might order a decorated Bundt cake for an upcoming birthday. Definitely worth a few extra minutes on the spin bike!!! read more

Nothing bundt cakes in Gurnee did our wedding desserts! We got married Memorial weekend on Sunday, so therefore they weren't open on Sunday, however they made an exception to deliver to our venue even though they weren't open that day which really saved us so much headache. Everyone loved our sweet table & told us it was the best wedding desserts they've ever had! Our wedding cake also turned out amazing. I made my own floral and topper & it was so easy to assemble because they had it all ready to go! One last surprise, we were opening our cards and found a coupon for a free bundt cake on our one year anniversary, so we didn't have the save our top & could enjoy it that day! Highly recommend read more

We get cakes all the time here not for their service but for their cakes. Our family members have bdays almost every month and unfortunately we have been disappointed with the delivery of their cakes when we open the boxes. Here is a picture of my sis in law's cake. Also note that its not that difficult to give awesome service (especially when you see me often) and suggest some cake decorations for birthdays. Also packing the cake with the plastic doesn't work...Just a suggestion. read more

First time ever coming to the establishment, very cute and artistic spot. I walked in, I was greeted by one employee. However I was talking on my cell phone when entering, in other words there was another customer who walked in after me. The lady at the cash register assisted the customer behind me instead of me first. She replied with a snarky comment "Well you're on the phone". I replied back to the women, I was here first and she proceeds with her nasty ass attitude. She finally decided assist me and ask what did I want, I told her I was picking up and order for my uncle. She went to the back placed the paid for item on the counter, and said it's paid for. In which I already knew because I placed the order online which was paid in full. It was an awkward 10 seconds before she decided to give me the cake. Then she said nicely after all of that hassle have a good party. read more

So I went here tonight to get 6 bundtlets for teacher gifts. I came home and realized there was only 5. I called the store and not only were they so nice and apologetic but the manager actually drove the missing one to my house!! She even through in an extra one. I could not believe the amazing service I got! A small mistake turned into such AWESOME service!! I will be coming back forever due to the great service and awesome cakes!! read more

Their customer service rocks. I placed an online order for delivery to celebrate a virtual baby shower and I had 2 call them twice to aks for different delivery times. We were surprised with a box of Bundtini's from a very nice lady who was delivering them to surrounding businesses. I'm all for free cake and I had never tried Nothing Bundt Cakes despite hearing about their stores. All my co-workers agree, these cakes were amazing!! Thank you so much for dropping them off! What a great treat for our office. The cakes were moist and the frosting was wonderful too. Not too sweet and a perfect addition to the little bundt cake. read more

Welllllll don't call this location and think that you'll get accurate information. Called to place an order and was told that was NOT necessary because the cakes were ready. Listening like a fool to people that work at this establishment was obviously my mistake. Drove 30 min from a different location to arrive here for nothing to be ready. Instead I was stared at like I was lying while the other girls laughed about it. So maybe this was purposely done? I got the notion that no one really wanted to serve me anyway. I had to wait another 20 - 25 minutes extra that could've been avoided completely. Of course no one will take accountability for that. I won't be back here. Wasted entirely too much time and if you are apart of the minority population GO ELSEWHERE! Thanks employees of Nothing Bundt Cakes. I will take my money to a better location! read more

Beautifully decorated store with extremely helpful employees. Their bundt cakes are flavorful and easy on the sweetness (at least from my end). If wishes ever did come true, then my wish would be to extend their hours to make sure they can take care of my random late night cravings! read more

Went to pickup bundt-inis and Bundt-lets for our party. And today was my birthday! If they are going to make it look like they care it is your birthday, maybe the customer service could muster a smile or a happy birthday! I had to ask twice about the "free" bundt-let and was snarkly asked ... "what flavor" .... no happy birthday... nothing ... then ... my personal favorite ... "can you delete the email" .... wow! If they are so worried about me going to another store to get another free one... how about just not offer one ... I was having a good day until I went into your store! read more

Very pleasant staff and the cakes are delicious. I had the vanilla cake, but there are so many flavors it took me a while to decide on which to get. WOW, This is a brand new store and I have had two BAD experiences already. I am a huge fan of Nothing Bunt Cakes. I always go to Old Orchard and Deerfield stores. The first time I went to this store, they wouldn't do the punch card. Today, it is 6:00 and the manager is locking the door as I am reaching for the door. I literally begged her, pleaded, but no, too bad, they were closed. Did I mention 6:00 not 6:05. I understand that they close at 6:00, but it would not have killed her to let me make a quick purchase. While this store is convenient, I will never go there again. RUDENESS both times = Lost customer. read more
