Have been going to Notaro for massage therapy for about a year through the VA Community Care Program. Had a session this morning. Jillian is A.MAZE.ING. She listens to my concerns and communicates well before and during the treatment session. Not only is she a capable masseuse, she is one of the sweetest people with a wonderful disposition. Sometimes she gets a little behind through no fault of her own (people are late for appointments, etc.), but I've never felt rushed or been given less than the 50 minutes I'm booked for. And the hot towel on my face at the end is wonderful. I'm very happy with how I am treated here; from the moment I walk in until the time I leave. I highly recommend this business. read more

Tried this place as I intended to start chiropractic care after my pain eased up. Started with a massage first and it was great. I was extremely satisfied and booked a 2nd appt with same therapist. I had realized after I went to tip for first massage that I did not have cash for a tip. I even asked receptionist about Venmo for tip and was told no. I booked a 2nd appt so I told receptionist, I'll get her next time and just assumed they would let her know. I walk into place for 2nd massage and first thing I did was give the receptionist the tip envelope and told her the tip from last time and today's tip was in there for Jillian. Big mistake tipping prior to massage this day. 2nd appt came and it was a totally different experience. The same therapist had a cold greeting , was 20 minutes late getting me-but assured me I would get full hour. She said she did not remember me which I find it hard to believe from 3 weeks prior and pretty coincidental that tip envelope was pointed out to me and left on massage table. She came in for massage and I don't know what it was-but a massage like I've never had and not in a good way. Like pinching and patting???. Well she stops massaging and leaves room without telling me and comes back in mumbling about some clock that someone took out snd she doesn't know the time . She does not know how to tell time because the massage ended 25 minutes early. She puts hot towels on my face and tells me to wait for towels to cool off. I knew it was not time. I immediately got up and got dressed and was at reception before 6pm. Massage appt was 5 pm-was taken back late, she left room during massage and I'm dressed and out quickly. I asked the receptionist to please have someone call me. She quickly sent me a link to review massage . She knew something was wrong. I reviewed the massage pretty much writing what's in this review. I requested a refund percentage as I paid for an hour and basically received 35 minutes if that. It has been 2 weeks now and no one has reached out to me so here's the review. I am sure it will not matter though to them. Hopefully another consumer will find this helpful. I guess I will not be pursuing chiropractic care at Notaro either . read more

Went to try them out for the first time made a payment with my card it was $50.00 not to mention it was the wrong place. Now they won't stop sending me additional bill for $45.00. For 1 chiropractic adjustment it's $90.00 look else where for a better and lower prices. They weren't that good anyways. If it was $90.00 why did you not mentioned it when I made the payment. Now they gonna send the bill to the collector. read more

Jillian is an excellent therapist. I always get the ultimate massage. My only complaint is that although I've talked to several secretaries, I can not get an itemized bill print out of my previous appointments so that I can submit it to my insurance company for repayment of my service. I don't understand why this seems to be so difficult. I have talked to several girls at the front desk. I have been trying to get this itemize billing statement for over a month. Several secretaries have said they were gonna work on it. I come in a week later. I still don't get it. They said they would leave messages with someone who are more familiar with the programming system and how to print it out, still I get nothing. They say it would be sent to me in an email. I still haven't received it. I hope that they get good staff soon, somebody that will follow through. It's starting to be a bit frustrating that I come there to be relieved of stress in my body so that It may heal properly but instead I get stressed out trying to get paperwork. read more

Before coming here, I had never been to a chiropractor. I needed to make an appointment because my neck and back were really bothering me. Dr. Marranca alleviated any concerns and was very professional. He gave me tips on stretches to help prevent future discomfort. The adjustment was slightly uncomfortable, but I think this is because I had no idea what to expect. It had nothing to do with the Doctor who treated me. I will definitely come back here in the future for additional treatments. One drawback is the parking lot is a mess. Very uneven and rocky. They share a parking lot with a restaurant and an acupuncturist, so I'm sure their customers have the same issue. read more

I had such a wonderful experience. I was a little unsure of how everything worked but pleasantly surprised that it was no different than going to a day spa. I sent a message via facebook with all of my questions and concerns and within the same day someone responded to me via text which was way easier. They let me know that a couple's massage was available and reviewed the details and time slots with ease. When my boyfriend and arrived we initially started in the main waiting room where we filled out the questionnaire and then quickly moved over to the massage waiting room. It was very neat, clean and quiet. We were then greeted by two massage therapists who were pleasant and polite. They quickly reviewed our problem areas, likes and dislikes then showed us to our room. It was quite comfy. I will say the room was a bit cool for my liking but I'm a tough one because I'm always cold. Other than that our experience was amazing. My boyfriend fell asleep on the table. We all got a little chuckle from his snoring. Nothing was awkward and it all felt very comfortable and easy. We both agreed that they were the best massages we've ever had. I loved it so much that I went and got a gift certificate for my parents for Christmas. I honestly can't wait to go back again. I keep telling myself that I'm going to buy a few more and treat myself whenever I can!! read more

This review is for the massage part of the practice. I was happy to have such a range of appointments available at such short notice. That is a good benefit of a big practice. There are several signs that say masks must be worn over the mouth and nose at all times but it was not required during the massage, no proof of vaccination needed. The massage itself was decent, but short at 50 instead of 60 minutes. The communication is where the star got deducted. First, appointment confirmations come saying noon Pacific time when it actually is noon Eastern standard time etc, so not the correct conversion. Second, the confirmation emails do not say who you're seeing. Third, I got there 10 minutes early and received my papers to fill out and had them sitting on my lap playing on my phone waiting to be called in, when the massage therapist came up and that's why I never turned them in because I was wasting my time with her by sitting there, but no one told me to bring them back up when I was done. Fourth, after the massage she told me to get dressed and head to the waiting room but I waited there and no one addressed me for several minutes and she didn't come out so I'm not sure what that was about. I assumed she would come out because she never said goodbye or asked how it was. This would be a great place if you were a regular, but for first timers, it's awkward. With the combination with the chiropractic side, I feel like it's more medical than relaxing and holistic. read more

Not a great experience! I had an appointment yesterday for a massage. The girl who was talking care of me was not pleasant, but that doesn't matter much if she knew how to give a massage. I was asked to lay on my stomach. It was a 50 minute massage. About half way in the session, she stopped massaging with her right hand. She only was using her left hand on my neck and sort of just pinching! I am pretty sure that she was on her phone with the other hand. I could tell she put her phone back in her pocket and resumed with two hands. I have had many deep tissues massages for my back and I have always been asked to lay on both my stomach and my back. She had me 50 minutes on my face. Left 2 hot towels on my back at the end and said I can leave when the towels cool off which made my back wet. When I left the room , she was not around to ask me how my massage was or to even say bye! Horrible! read more
