I walked in, was greeted by the only employee. I was told that cards were not accepted so i walked to the Walgreens just down the block , got a nail polish to get some cash back. There was a small digital camera to take the photos, but it was a good quality photo. The employee made sure I didn't look crazy and made sure to fix my hair behind me. $11 for passport photos was not bad as I got 4 photos ... There wasn't an option for two, which there should've been ... Also it was a bit irritating that they don't take cards when everyone in the world takes cards now a days. Even on those stupid cubes on the phones. I thought the prices for picture frames were 100% overpriced and quite frankly besides passport photos, I honestly haven't the slightest clue on earth how they make any money. Even the very small inadequate frames were over $20, I could do nothing but laugh as I waited for my photos. There are tons of passport photo places all over nostrand avenue, this was closest to my current location, and I was pressed for time. Would I go back again? There is an old senile guy in there, he could be Arab or something, not sure. This man is VERY DISRESPECTFUL. He doesn't know how to talk to people. I call him senile because that was the most RANDOM unprovoked disrespect I've ever experienced. To be honest, I am convinced that he's racist too. When you come in there and it's time to collect your money, he knows how to put on an act. But after that, he starts doing a bunch of random things like he's profiling you. I wish I had read the reviews first but they charged me 45 bucks to get 2 disposable cameras developed, and I asked for an email receipt instead of physical. After 2 months, no receipt and no photos. Visited on March 15,2024 1:15pm I came to retake my passport photo bec I didn't like the ones from the previous day. I was PAYING for the retake as Walgreens no longer offer the passport photo service. I reached for the mirror to check myself, the mirror dropped. I offered to pay for the mirror. The gentleman (late 20's early 30's male with brown hair and light mustache) asked me to just bring him another one from Bargainland. I said it would have to by the end of the day because I was in a hurry. He took my photo. Told me it was $17.32. I PAID for the service. I gave him $18. Never received my change. I told him that I would be back for the photos as I had my toddler and other son there. The previous day it took 15 min to print out. He mentioned that he didn't want my money, I can replace the mirror. I did go look for the mirror at bargainland before I returned. They did not have handheld mirror. I saw the time as I wanted to mail the item out at the post office and I went back for my photos and indicated that Bargainland didn't have the mirror. The then said that my photos would be another 10-15 minutes and I have time to look for a mirror bec he had customers needing a mirror and I broke it. Dude, I offered to pay for the mirror. I had my child with me and he thought I was going to go on treasure hunt before receiving my photos. I went to the dollar store next door and purchased TWO HANDHELD PLASTIC MIRRORS. I went back and asked to take his pick. He complained that they were cheap mirrors. At this point I was just like give me my photos as I needed them. He held up my photos complaining that I broke his mirror and came back with cheap ones. The whole neighborhood is filled with discount stores and to hold my photos hostage because he didn't like the quality of the mirror is egregious. I asked for my photos again and I said that I would never do business with this place again. He said he doesn't need my business. Rude and unprofessional. He received TWO mirrors ( paid $6.58 for) and $0.68 from my change. In total $7.26 in addition to his overpriced photos. I was there a few months ago to have my children's passport photos done. No problem. Was there just the day few days ago. No problems. I just didn't like how the photo came out. Others were complaining about the high prices to print out documents etc. I will never visit this establishment again. To think I was considering doing family photos here. Literally the most awful service I've had at any business in Brooklyn. I've never written a review in my life but felt the need to. GO TO PHOTO LIFE a few blocks up from this place, they do everything 500x better and cheaper. Dropped photos off to be developed on Sunday, said they would be done that day, then I call Monday, it'll be done later today, nope ... call Tuesday AM, it'll be done by end of day, nope ... call Wednesday and they claim it was already sent out. It wasn't. This, by the way, was a digital order ... but they made me come on the bus 30 mins each way to show them I didn't get an email so that they could send it again. In-store after searching my email (twice!) they finally say they'll send me the pics, and after a 30-min wait, I get them. I only went here because better options were closed on the day I needed them. After a 3-day delay, I got them after having to travel TO THEM to send a digital order. Also while I was in the store, multiple other people were in there complaining about other issues. They are 100% using fake reviews on Google to cover-up the horrible reviews they have here. First off they lie about the prices, charged us $25 extra just to use a card and the pics came out spotty with black spots on it then tells me my dress was dirty so i point out that all the pics have it even on the background. Which is outdated old and they need to take that extra money to stealing to get new backgrounds started coughing back there from all the dust. Some pics are darker than others and i didnt get much pics of my baby because she started crying so he ended it its like they dont comprehend what u saying at all. Thieves. They know their color printer is below par. I had one page printed and there were streaks all over it. Their response was "yeah there's nothing we can do about the machine. We know it's not great, but it'll still cost you $2 for that page." I said I'd pay $1, even though they didn't deserve $.25, they said no it's $2 all the while admitting the machine prints color copies poorly. Luckily, I'm a respectable person and paid. Stay away from this cheap and awful business. **in response: you're lying. You never said I didn't have to pay for it and you never made it clear that if I left the copy I wouldn't have to pay. Give me a break. Your female employee and male employee made it clear that the machine was broken (AFTER YOU ACCEPTED MY PRINT JOB!) and there was nothing they could do and it will cost me $2. This place is an absolute disaster. HIGHLY would not recommend. I walked in and handed the guy who was there two rolls of film: One color and one B&W. I mentioned that the B&W roll was around 3 years old and asked if it was possible to develop these photos and he assured me that it was possible by saying "yeah we can take anything." The color film was from a year ago from a Kodak disposable camera. I was supposed to receive 36 B&W photos and 27 color photos (63 total). When I came in a week later and received the photos, I looked in the envelope and I saw 11 photos total and was shocked. I asked the guy where the rest of the photos were and he said they weren't able to print them. I asked for my money back and he said "no refunds." When he said that, I told him that was not okay since I paid $40 total ($15 for color and $25 for B&W.) I came back later on to speak to the manager and was told the same story. I said to this guy "So I'm not gonna get my money back?" and he said "HELL NO!" which was extremely unnecessary. His manager decided to speak to me and basically told me I was paying for the development of the photos and that I wouldn't get my money back. I told him that was ridiculous since the photos weren't even developed and he told me that it was my fault because I don't know how to take pictures which is not true because I have experience in developing film. The guy told me he started in film photography taking pictures of weddings and they both continued to be nasty. This was surprising to me considering how terrible my photos came out. He continued by saying "You must be broke and need the money" which was stupid to say considering I paid $40 for something I didn't even get. I cannot let this one go without a fight considering how unjust this situation was. I was more upset than anything about losing my memories than losing my money. These guys are scamming black people because they think we don't know any better, but I encourage you all not to support this business any longer. read more

I love supporting local businesses, but the employees here have NO idea what they're doing. I brought my own paper to have my resume printed. Very simple printing job, right? Wrong. Every time the girl printed, the paper came and with a yellow streak. She kept claiming it was the paper I brought and said I should purchase theirs instead ($2/ea). Um, okay. She printed with their paper and, unsurprisingly, the yellow streaks appeared. I asked her to change the printer toners, BUT SHE DIDNT EVEN KNOW HOW. The worst part? They charged me for a yellow-streaked resume that I couldn't use. 40 minutes for a failed printing job. read more

Great place to develop photos quickly, and super affordable! I took 6 rolls of film taken on vacation to Nostrand Photo Lab and they were ready in a couple of days. I decided to try this place since it was close by. The previous reviews state the passport pictures were $11. Ok not bad. However the pictures were not for me but my son. So I got there and was told the pictures are $15. Not sure why because the child is sitting on the same seat as the adults, and you are using the same camera. If you need to make a single copy or get a passport photo this place is fine. However if you need a time sensitive work product, good luck. I needed 3 coffee mugs with photos for a holiday party. You would think, no big deal. I showed up when the store opened. Reviewed the photos and background with the person behind the counter. Only then I find out the machine was broken. No worries the machine will be fixed by noon by the boss. The boss shows up at 1:30pm who tell me "machines break". So I ended up going to the party empty handed. For a business whose livelihood is based on technology and machinery good luck to your business or need a big project completed in a timely manner. Excellent photo lab and I'm very pleased whenever I do business with them! I have a modified camera that is meant for 120 film but now takes 35mm film, and these guys are the only ones I know of who will develop the film and scan it (manually) to make the images digital, frame by frame. They offer tons of other services too, such as image restoration, all sorts of printing, etc - so no project, as odd as it might be, is too difficult for them; they do it fast, they do it right, and they put a great deal of care into it. The staff is very friendly, and they're very accommodating to specific requests. They're also very helpful, and will explain everything/answer every question you might have. I definitely recommend them, and whenever I have film to develop, I always go straight to these guys. read more

Found them on yelp after seeing a few mixed reviews about this place, i decided to give them a try. i was pleased i did its an unforgettable experience. let me tell you a little about it i came here to take some passport pictures of my kids and was told that we are all dressed up and might as well take some easter photos maria was very professional and new exactly what to do to make us have a comfortable and easy session she took our passport pictures and brought us to the back where they have a large photo studio and with the assistance of tony was able to capture the greatest of pictures I've been waiting to get for my family and i after talking to them both for a while i realized that this is a family owned small business that has been in the neighborhood for about 20 years now and have evolved from many different stages of photography the owner has actually practiced photography for over 40 years and personally trains each and every one of them. Now thats dedication to doing some thing you love I'm truly astonished not sure why any one would write anything bad or give them a bad review but i truly would recommend this place to my loved ones and anyone else in need of a great establishment . Horrible experience. The woman working initially didn't understand my request (which we had spoken about prior to my arrival via phone). When she seemed confused, she told me she had a "fun night" and was a bit out of it. Furthermore, the price that I was quoted over the phone changed once I arrived at the shop. The woman working seemed to be relaying arbitrary prices that were not printed anywhere in the store. When I asked about the pricing structure and why it changed over the course of 30 minutes, she told she's "simply a worker" and that I could speak the owner when he's at the shop. Her attitude was quite poor throughout my visit. I needed the item printed that evening, or else I would have gladly gone elsewhere. She worked on the computer and attempted to print my item, until I finally asked how it was going. She didn't want to show me the print, and I kept asking to see it. She finally showed it to me. The text looked blurry and she had attempted to stretch the border around the text "to make it easier to cut." Needless to say, her efforts did not produce a good result. When I told her that was not what I asked for, she proceeded to complain and told me she had never printed what I asked for...which would have been nice to know during our initial phone call. I asked for my money back as she huffed and puff that she was just trying to help. I do not recommend this place. Save your coins. read more

I was pleasantly surprised with this place. I needed a few pictures resized for a locket, and the employee did it quickly and with great attention to detail (cutting the resized photo to fit, etc).
