Stunning Views and Perfect Retreat Setting…read more I recently stayed at Sacred Waters Retreat Center for a group weekend retreat, and the location is absolutely spectacular. The property offers breathtaking, unobstructed views of the Hood Canal and the snow-capped Olympic Mountains in the distance. The accommodations were clean and comfortable, and the main hall provided an excellent space for our group activities. The landscaping is beautifully maintained and really enhances the natural beauty of the property. For the price point, this place offers excellent value--you really can't beat the combination of affordability and those stunning water and mountain views. Special shoutout to Lois, the landscaper, who was absolutely wonderful and clearly takes great pride in maintaining the grounds! If you're looking for an affordable retreat space with spectacular scenery and solid facilities, Sacred Waters is a great choice. The natural beauty of the location is truly unforgettable.

Beautiful setting, completely updated 1920s log lodge, great vibe/ambience, and supportive (not smothering) staff. There are foods I have not enjoyed before, but under his capable cooking, I loved them.

While looking for things to do while in the area I stumbled across this farm and I emailed to get information about their u-pick flower field. On the day I visited I was the only person there so it was lovely to be able to walk around and admire the different flowers before creating my own bouquet to bring home. You are able to pay cash or venmo when you're done and there are signs with all the info you need. Besides this they offer wholesale flowers, wedding/event flowers and more that's on their website to check out if you are interested. Overall: I had an awesome time here at their u-pick flower field and my flowers lasted for a good amount of time also so I would definitely recommend!

They were totally fine with me changing the dates a couple times, and they did everything we wanted as far as setting up tables and chairs the way we asked. Aside from the staff, the venue is absolutely incredible. The view is a million dollar view that you would never expect from a venue as affordable as this one. I would have paid double the price just for the view, honestly. I heard so many guests go on and on about how beautiful it was and it just made me so happy! The inside of the building is very unique as well, and it was a great space for the size we had and the setup we had planned. They have two conference rooms that can be used as get ready rooms, a full kitchen and plenty of parking. There's also space in the courtyard outside for a bar, tables and we set up lawn games as well. I can't say enough good things about this venue, and I'm so, so glad I chose to have my wedding here!

The boys were dramatic about it, but I thought, "this is an easy/cheap fix." That said, if it's a stormy night, prepare yourself for spotty sleep (especially on the 2" foam pads). PRO TIP: double up the pads if you can. Also, there was no cycle on the heater (just on/off) and it ran all night. I woke up in the middle of the night with my mouth/tongue severely dried out like I was lost/adrift at sea. Kids did enjoy the activities - I think archery won the day(s). Fire-starting was also a hit. The camp guides did a pretty decent job incorporating learning and doing their best to keep kids engaged. Their personalities were spirited/fun and I especially enjoyed their effort with skit night (some drama majors I think). Overall the meals could be improved, some basic cabin upgrades, and perhaps a new Director (ponytailed milk toast dude who had a kind of, "don't have time for you" vibe).

We opted to have her for the full planning, though, and are so happy we did! I work full time and my fiancee goes to school full time, and both of our families live out of state, so we definitely needed Jaimee to keep us on track and help us with all the steps (and there are a ton of steps!) leading up to our big day. She set us up with all of our amazing vendors, keeps track of all the details-even the ones I never knew about, and has been just awesome to work with. I can't wait for the wedding (June 2014) and will update my review after it honeymoon so I can rave about Jaimee and Muse some more. UPDATE: The wedding was fantastic! She helped us find our photographer, florist, dj, linens, and so much more. Jaimee even took care of some of the large DIY projects herself! We e-mailed and/or texted nearly every day. She kept us on track on making decisions and getting DIY stuff done. She found vendors for us to meet with (at least 3 of each) so that we could make the most informed decision. And if those 3 vendors weren't the ones, she found more for us to talk to! Jaimee was fully committed to our wedding and made us feel like we were the only clients she had. We are truly grateful for all of her hard work. She took our vision and contributed great ideas and made our wedding truly special. The attention to the details was out of this world.
