This insurance for many is ~2/3rds of what it would cost to pay for insurance for a 950 sq ft apartment. The insurance they insist you buy is not likely to pay for much of anything unless you have extremely accurate and proven items. My guess is that this is a money making product for Corvallis Self Store. In the years I have rented there they keep raising the rent $3+ per year. They have some sort of "new" money making plan. This is not a great place to store if you are student on a budget. I highly recommend avoiding Corvallis Self Store.

When I finally managed to scrounge up some cash I tried to find a compromise with these people. I wasn't going to be able to catch up to the $120/month I owed, having accrued nearly $600 in debts. But, I offered to pay half and clear out the unit. Freeing it up for better off folks. They declined. They informed me today that if I don't come up with the full total my possessions are going up for auction in August. Five months after the virus outbreak, when a lot of folks still don't have a job. Talk about kicking someone when they're down. Absolutely no mercy from these people. I'd suggest avoiding them. One star for having decent facilities.

Well I was in the gate before the closing time so technically since I was in the facility before the 8pm time I should be able to leave the facility by ORS laws not be held against my own will. I will be filling a legal case about this matter. Wish you all the best of luck with your business.

Do not risk your personal belongings here! Go else where! I have rented a storage unit from them…read moresince December of 2017. I have had some hiccups here and there and they have been great about communicating with me until July of this year. My bank account was hacked and I had trouble getting into my bank account. I spoke to Roxanne several times and got it all taken care of, or so I thought. I set my card up on auto pay via there website. It was not until the last week of September when I went to go get some of my stuff that I found out they locked me out. I called them and played phone tag with them for a week and then had enough and went into the office. New managers did not know that. Found out that my storage unit was not paid for and when I tried to make a payment they said they could not take a partial payment. To my surprise the amount I owed was $100 more than the amount I thought. No explanation just that my storage unit was up for action at the end of this month. They gave me a number to call the corporation office. Tania was very defensive and more less called me a liar. Said I receive the lien notice. Which to this day I do not have and never was served. My emergency contact was never notified either and per the lease agreement they would. Then she said I never set up auto pay which I did, twice. Once back in July and then again in September when I found out. Then she said they emailed me and that there was notes. Yet the only email I have from July to now from them is from her a day before this conversation. After being called a liar and her refusal to help resolve the issue I asked to speak to her manager, the owner. She said he would call the following day 4pm or after. Still no reply from him via email or phone. Today I got a letter in the mail explaining all my fee's but still not lien notice. Per Oregon law they must provide. Now I am tied up in legal fees and attorney fees to sue them. Please do not trust them. I do not know what happened in the last few months but their business has gotten very poor. Not professional at all.
