There main page states that they are 24/7 accessible but then on the back of the exit gates states that if your not out of the gates by 8pm you will be charged for calling to be let out. this is unwilling holding me against my own will so that alone is against the law which is called false imprisonment. An now you want to hold my belongings until $135 late access gate fee is paid. Well I was in the gate before the closing time so technically since I was in the facility before the 8pm time I should be able to leave the facility by ORS laws not be held against my own will. Do not risk your personal belongings here! Go else where! I have rented a storage unit from them since December of 2017. I have had some hiccups here and there and they have been great about communicating with me until July of this year. My bank account was hacked and I had trouble getting into my bank account. I spoke to Roxanne several times and got it all taken care of, or so I thought. I set my card up on auto pay via there website. It was not until the last week of September when I went to go get some of my stuff that I found out they locked me out. I called them and played phone tag with them for a week and then had enough and went into the office. New managers did not know that. Found out that my storage unit was not paid for and when I tried to make a payment they said they could not take a partial payment. To my surprise the amount I owed was $100 more than the amount I thought. No explanation just that my storage unit was up for action at the end of this month. They gave me a number to call the corporation office. Tania was very defensive and more less called me a liar. Said I receive the lien notice. Which to this day I do not have and never was served. My emergency contact was never notified either and per the lease agreement they would. Then she said I never set up auto pay which I did, twice. Once back in July and then again in September when I found out. Then she said they emailed me and that there was notes. Yet the only email I have from July to now from them is from her a day before this conversation. After being called a liar and her refusal to help resolve the issue I asked to speak to her manager, the owner. She said he would call the following day 4pm or after. Still no reply from him via email or phone. Today I got a letter in the mail explaining all my fee's but still not lien notice. Per Oregon law they must provide. Now I am tied up in legal fees and attorney fees to sue them. Please do not trust them. I do not know what happened in the last few months but their business has gotten very poor. The customer service was horrendous. Manager threatened to contact security and physically attack me for entering business during proclaimed business hours. I HIGHLY DO NOT recommend this facility and would glady search and pay for another unit. The simple fact that my life was threatened was enough for me to kick this business to the curb. read more

Daughter went to rent a unit. Had appointment. Was told she would wait 10 minutes. 35 minutes later she was helped. Was told lock on unit would be removed in days. Fast forward to moving day. Sunday. 3 weeks later. U haul filled and lock not removed as promised. Had to drive belongings back to Portland because no emergency number available and no way to unload. Owner completely unhelpful. Made us pay a month of rent for a unit we could not access. Cited policy in lease and was unwilling to listen. Many policies in lease violated. Horrible experience. Understaffed. I was there for five minutes, waiting to see an item in a unit, and I was thinking about getting a unit there. The manager came out and said she would tow my car if I didn't get it out of the parking lot right away! Five minutes! And I was right there next to it! And there was only one other car there and at least 6 empty spaces. WTH? I told her she just lost a customer and she said, "That's fine,"...and then she smiled this creepy brat smile like a three year old who thinks it got one over on you. But she was nowhere near as cute as a three year old. So I drove away. And that was my experience of being at this place for five minutes. That is what you can expect if you go here. read more

We had a very bad experience with The Storage Depot. Our daughter rented a unit for a couple months and when it was time to mover her stuff out I called on friday the same day as rent was due to see if we had to pay another months rent and they said no we could go online and pay retroactive the amount owed. We moved her stuff out that Sunday and on Monday I called to see how much we owed and another gal said our card on file had already been ran for the whole $74.00. She said she would ask her boss if any money could be refunded. I recieved a call from Ron Reed saying his boss was NOT going to refund ANY of the money. I would not recommend this business to anyone. read more

Although the facilities are nice and conveniently accessible 24/7 the customer service is THE WORST. I used the facilities for a few months and moved my stuff out on the last day in September so I wouldn't get charged for a new month. I called to inform them that I moved my stuff out the first thing in the morning and unfortunately since I had the payment automatically taken out, it had already charged my credit card. I was told (by a guy - maybe Bobby) that I would get a refund in 30-45 days. Okay that's fine. December rolls around and still... No refund. I call and talk to the manager, Susan and she explains that there has probably been a lot of people getting refunds from the summer so they are probably behind in sending those out. So I understand and wait. Now it is the end of January and I have yet to receive my refund. So I called last week and talked to an assistant, Julie who was really nice but couldn't really do much for me but email the manager about the situation. I called again yesterday and spoke to Julie again who remembered me but still couldn't really do anything but email the manager again. I asked for the manager's contact information but she refused to give it to me. So I called again today and finally the manager, Susan was there. He looked up my information and didn't find it odd at all that it has been for months and I haven't gotten my refund. Rather, she explained that I am lucky to be getting one at all because most places don't. I explained that it has been too long, I have called too many times and it is unacceptable. But she claims that it isn't her responsibility to take care of refunds and that I hadn't called last week, only in December. What was that? An insinuation that I am liar? That I hallucinated the whole conversation that I had with Julie? I asked if she was calling me a liar and she responded "you can put words in my mouth but you didn't call last week." Just because your calls are recorded doesn't mean whoever your boss is can't tell when you call a customer a liar. After getting in a shouting match with her because she refused to let me speak and insisted on talking over me she hung up. I called back and asked for the contact information of the owner.... of course I couldn't get it. But Susan explained that she could give them my contact information so that they could contact me then hung up so I couldn't say anything else. Hopefully this happens because I feel like the owners need to know how these managers treat customers and how bad they make their lovely facilities look. I have been a patient person, but 4 months is too long to wait for a refund, and these people take no responsibility and have no sympathy. read more

My daughter and her room mate at OSU used the Storage Depot for summer storage last year. It was clean, well lit and secure. The staff was pleasant and helpful and organized. I had no concerns about the girls going over to the location on their own to pick up and drop off items. read more

I am a 50 yr old female and have one of the smallest units available. My credit rating is in the 800's and between my husband and I, we earn a good living. We are never late on bills and pay everything on time. My check was sent via bill pay to the facility. My bill is $46 per month. My payment arrived late with a batch of other checks from the bill pay unit at US Bank. The check was returned in the mail by the "Manager" and he would not credit my account. I was also charged a $10 late fee. When I went in to discuss the matter I was met by a rude, disrespectful man who had NO customer service skills whatsoever. As I began to talk, he began to interrupt me and then completely talk over me. I was unable to get a word out or even finish a sentence that he wouldn't start talking over me. He got very "big" and forceful and was incapable of having a conversation. By the time I left the office, he had not listened to one word that I said and was still yelling at me when I walked out the door. He never even knew why I was in there because he just yelled at me the whole time. This was a $10 issue that is now costing the company my business. This issue could have been resolved by an individual who actually had the ability to have an adult discussion. Instead I was met by a hostile, angry, child incapable of communication who yelled at me the whole time. I wasn't even angry or unwilling to pay the $10 when I went in to talk to him. What a joke. NO THANKS. Now I am moving my stuff so that I never have to deal with this person again. Great management choice Storage Depot??? read more
