I'm not sure if there are multiple parking lots, but the one we parked in was quite small but still had a few open spaces. Overall, would definitely consider coming back here, especially on my own so I can walk around and explore a bit more.

There are also three outdoor tennis courts available for use, and public bathrooms as well. Near the public bathrooms is a sheltered area with picnic tables, and there is a separate shelter with more picnic tables that I believe you can reserve / rent out. We mostly come for my daughters to scooter / bike on the flat circle walkway around the cricket field, but this park has some other nice amenities too!

The Deets: The Town of Morrisville really does a great job providing resources for its citizens, and one of the examples is the Indian Creek Greenway & Trailhead located across from Town Hall. This town provided facility has a playground for kids, two shelters with picnic tables, open area space in the middle, restrooms near the shelters and playground, arboretum, viewing deck near the woods with historical information, parking area, and an almost 2 mile greenway trail. The times I have visited this town park it has been maintained, clean, and kept well. The shelters appear to be available to be reserved for an individual/group by the listings I saw posted next to each shelter A and shelter B. The yard/green areas have been well groomed the times I have gone by there. The site playground is colorful and clean in appearance. This site is a valuable recreational asset for the residents of Morrisville and glad it well maintained for use, very nice!

Every time my grandson comes to stay with me, one thing is guaranteed we're going to this park. It's become our spot, and honestly, it never disappoints. The playground is perfect for kids. There are plenty of slides, swings, and even a sand area, which my grandson absolutely loves. He could spend hours there and still not be ready to leave. It's one of those places where you can just let them play, explore, and be kids without overthinking it. Now, I will say when there are soccer games going on, parking can be a bit of a challenge. You might have to circle around a little and be patient, but you'll find a spot eventually. And once you do, it's completely worth it. Overall, this park is a win for us every time. Upon a recent day trip in Cary, I stumbled up the Urban Park and decided to take a gander. Located…read moreinside a small wooded, residential area close to downtown, it definitely gives off a neighborhood vibe. It's also easy to miss when driving down Chatham Street as the side of the park that faces the street is a mere 100 feet long. Cary's Urban Park has basketball courts, a water fountain, picnic tables, four swings [two standard and two bucket seats], a sandbox, bike racks, benches and two playground structures [one for older and one for younger ages]. The play structures seemed relatively new, being made of plastic and had some climbing walls, multi-slides and elements that are more modern. I learned from a local that was spending the day at the park with his two grandchildren that the park has been there for quite some time and he'd developed many found memories there, they have updated it in the past five or so years. If you plan to take a trip to Cary's Urban Park I recommend you use the facilities prior as there are no bathrooms located at the park. Also, plan around the sun! Although the park is located in a wooded area, the playground structures aren't very shaded [especially the younger child structure] and the plastic can get very hot. Overall, this is a great spot if you need a kid-friendly break from downtown Cary and is within walking distance. It is relatively quiet and doesn't bring in a large crowd and even adults can entertain themselves on the swings!

Not massive but fair sized park facility including playground, shelter, playing and ball fields, etc. with paved walking/running path to use that connects to the adjacent Hatcher Creek Greenway. The Deets: During COVID-19 time, I've had a chance to walk over to Morrisville Community Park a couple of times to enjoy some outside time. It is easy to access by car with a parking lot off Morrisville Parkway, or you can walk there as I have using Hatcher Creek Greenway path access. From reading others' descriptions of the park, I expected it to be small (if you just considered the area around the playground) but I would say for Morrisville it's got a good bit of land to enjoy...I took plenty of pics of the areas I encountered). There is a children's playground area, and to the side of it appears to be a little outside fitness area to use. To the other side of the playground, a nice shelter area is available with adjacent bathroom facilities. I noticed a sign posted next to them stating that "this facility is cleaned and sanitized daily for your safety" which is good to know, especially now. When you past the shelter, there is a pretty large open playing field (?pickup games of football/soccer, etc.,?) and beyond that are ball fields. The field 1 is a 301 ft fence ball field and field 2 has a 200 ft fence distance, with both next to a nice facilities building. In between the open playing field and fields 1 & 2, there is a smaller ball field (field 3) that appears to be under repairs at the time of this writing. Park users can enjoy a nice paved walkway around all of the park area, and it connects up with the Hatcher Creek Greenway on both sides of the park. It makes for a nice loop in itself for a good walk or to go on further to the greenway for more exercise. In all, As with the greenway, I find Morrisville Community Park a great resource that the town of Morrisville provides to the public for use, especially when you need your exercise to be in an outside setting. I am a fan!
