I tried to edit my earlier review, but appears after a period of time Yelp only allows you to add…read moreto it. That was a 2 star review for incompleted work. Wanted to update it to say the contractor has returned the property key. While I can't yet move it to an Aok, due to still undone work, and incurred expenses, it is a move in the right direction by the contractor and I would have moved it up to to 2.5 stars if allowed. As the key return portion has been addressed. A word on Yelp. If you are reading this you probably know to check the hidden reviews. it has been my experience you have to take those reviews into account and not just the shown rating. As what gets moved off the mainpage is arguably not as arbitrary as the text says. Thankfully, more and more of us are catching onto that.

So a month ago when I started looking for a paving company to fix our driveway, Yelp was the first place I went for recommendations and the obvious choice was ES paving. They came out quickly and gave me a very fair price. In the end, though, picking a contractor is about more than just price, you want the job done right and ES definitely delivered. They showed up on time, did a beautiful job completing all the promised work quickly and neatly. If they did all the paving for the county, our streets would be in better shape! Great job, guys!

THANKS FOR SCREWING ME OVER, BOLIVAR…read more.. Last Wednesday (2/26/2025), he told me that he would come out on Sunday (3/2/2025) (i.e. FOUR day's wait), at 10 or 10:30am, to check on a leaking water line. Well, HE NEVER SHOWED UP, nor did he even have the decency to give me a courtesy call or text, to let me know what happened and/or why he couldn't make it (and he could have easily just rescheduled the service call, for another time). By 11am, I texted him, but never received a response. At 2pm, I texted him again, and STILL, no response. At 4pm, I called him, and, of course, he didn't answer his phone. I literally never heard a word from him, at all... The previous time [only other time] that he had come to my house, I gave him a $45 tip (on a $105 invoice; yes, a 43% tip), as well as a glowing review here on Yelp, because he had stayed late at my house, in order to fix my water heater lines, and he had also stayed in touch with me, to let me know that he was running late at another job. I had even recommended him to a friend of mine, and now, she's like, "Oh, heck no, I won't be calling him now, because I don't have the time or patience to deal with people like that." So, now, my water line has been leaking for four more days, and now, I STILL have to find someone else to come out to fix it, before I will be able to leave out of town. Obviously, if he had just told me that he couldn't do it, I could have already hired someone else to fix it, in the meantime. But, stupid me, here I was trying to give him some repeat business, as well as some new business (from my friend). Unfortunately, after this ignorance, I definitely can't recommend him to anyone...
