They wanted me to take off all of my clothes and my titanium earrings to have an MRI done. I have…read morehad about six MRIs in the last two years and I've never had to undress down to nothing nor have I had to take out my titanium earrings out the only thing I had to remove was my hearing aid. This is a magnetic scan and it can pull metals, but it does not burn you. If it burns you, you couldn't have the titanium implants that are inside your body go through an MRI machine without getting burned or injured so it doesn't make sense that this place makes you undress completely naked, I guess wear a gown. then you have to walk through a room with a whole bunch of technicians who are male and female where I'm sure they could see your bare ass from the back of the gown. Because as we all know, they don't close up in the back. It puts you in a very vulnerable situation along with severe exposure to a group of total strangers who are not doctors or a hospital. It is absolutely disgusting and horrific that they would make you undressed down to nothing for a plain image. So if you don't want to undressed and be naked, don't go to the radiology on 1818 16th St. in Bakersfield. There are other radiologist facilities that do not make you undressed completely for any kind of image taking. Stand your ground and demand that they do not do this so don't give them your business at that facility.. You should not ever have to get completely naked for a radiographic imaging ever.! I wish I could give them a negative 1,000,000.. The staff is horrible too, not friendly and they run late. There were people they're still waiting that had appointments 30 minutes before mine..

The location is fabulous because it is low key and offers plenty of parking. The people working are also very kind, friendly and professional. They helped and answered all of my dad's questions and made the whole process simple for him. They also offer a very nice waiting area and it is very clean. Also adding that this location is open late for those of us that work during the day. Very good people working at this location. Thank you.

After the MRI, she was also very helpful, getting me a CD of my MRI and also letting me know that the results had already been directly sent to my doctor. Great employee! However, the young man who actually did my MRI was not warm and friendly, and when I saw something that looked like a chair in the room and asked him about that, stating that I was there for a standing MRI, he assertively informed me there was "no such thing" as a standing MRI, which is what I was there for. And he's very wrong, as it's even on their website that they have it, although they call it a Fast Front Open MRI. So even though I have injuries from my neck to my tailbone, I still had to sit on a 2" cushion for 30 minutes, being told I could not move at all for that entire time or he was going to have to start over again. So this was NOT a good experience from him, and I contacted management there and informed them of what he had said and how he said it, and suggested he needed more training to be familiar with not only the treatment options offered there. but also what is posted on the website. I'm surprised all the time at how a lot of these types of positions filled by employees who seem totally unaware or I'm concerned that the people they're dealing with in these medical offices are in acute pain, and to be spoken to with empathy and compassion. They need training on body language, tone of voice, eye contact, and the correct and caring terminology to use to speak to patients.

Good movie selection, to take your mind off the cramped space. I'm not claustrophobic but I don't think I've ever sat in the same position with my shoulders pressed forward for that long before. Comfort level was a 10/10. They opened at 615am for me and it made the experience quick and easy. The lady at the front of the office was kind and ready to get me into the back to get things started. Once I was in the back they got me in the room and set me up on the machine. Overall care and quality was excellent.

My wife was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer and Dr. Foulad was so kind when he explained it to us. He had tissues for my wife, gave her a moment to process everything, answered all of my many many questions and left us walking out feeling like things were going to be alright. They got her started on treatment shortly after the diagnosis. We went through a meeting with the RN Susanna Bell who's a life saver to say the least. She explained everything we could expect during chemo and how to try to make it as easy as possible. Dr. Patel was amazing as well. He went over everything with us and met regularly to keep us informed on how things were going. She got through chemo thanks to the wonderful staff and Dr. Foulad even came to my wife's surgery at Cedar Sinai as he has operating rights there so he was in the OR with her surgeon assisting and giving her peace of mind that her original doctor was there. While the journey isn't over yet, the worst of it is over and it's been bearable thanks to the wonderful people at CBCC.

If I could give Kern Rad ADVANCED on 16th Street (which I consider downtown) 10 stars, I would…read more Every single employee whom I have had the most distinct pleasure of interacting with on a personal, as well as professional level, was precisely that...PROFESSIONAL. Not to mention kind, courteous, helpful, and willing to answer any and all of my questions, observations, and input. My recent experience at the MRI facility downtown was STUPENDOUS! I really mean that in ALL sincerity!! STUPENDOUS. Erica and Liz treated me like I was their mother. Respectful, kind, offering assistance whether needed or not, very communicative regarding my safety, i.e., the floor sloping, the upraised copper threshold leading in to the MRI room, and even where the bar was on the MRI machine - guiding my hand to grab it for my safety. UNHEARD OF PROFESSIONALISM THIS DAY AND AGE. As far as the reviews I read that have few stars, after I read them, I honestly couldn't fully understand what the review was trying to convey. Was it because of the lack of education regarding sentence structure, vernacular, proper grammar, punctuation, stream of consciousness when attempting to write an ENGLISH sentence to convey to the reader just what the writer means??? Oh gosh, you got me... WTF? Where did these people go to school? In the United States...oh, yes, most assuredly - or hey, maybe not? Who the HELL knows these days? I even had the speechless experience at a local medical office when the MA who took my blood pressure admitted they did not know what the word OCCASIONALLY meant - and most assuredly, did not have any idea how to spell it. This is an absolute TRAVESTY! (Ok ya'll, look that word up if you don't know what the hell it means...). There's no shame in educating yourselves to better communicate using ENGLISH - GOD FORBID!!! And, I speak SPANISH, too. Such a beautiful language, as well as people. STOP criticizing others who speak a different language if you do not understand what they mean!!!! ASK THEM to explain what the hell they are trying to say to you and WHY! That is YOUR responsibility!! NOT THEIRS. Oh, good grief - here I go again about PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY! Might just try it on for size and find out just how many wonderful people there are around you trying to help you, even in your indignancy, who speak a different language. I most certainly do when someone says a SPANISH word to me that I do not know. I say, "No intiende!" (GET THAT! I am TEACHING MYSELF SPANISH!) And if I do it, you can teach yourselves better English grammar, spelling, sentence structure, stream of consciousness - and the like...and YES, I WAS an ENGLISH MAJOR in college. There is absolutely NO EXCUSE when it comes to educating yourself to better communicate in ANY LANGUAGE. NO EXCUSE.
