I would not use this credit union! I have had my accounts with them for over 7 years. I had a…read morecredit card that I hardly used and as a result they decided to not send me a new card when the existing card expired. No letter, no call, no communication at all about it. I called them about the last week in July, to see if it had been sent, and I was told that it was, but it must be delayed in the mail. The card expired July 31. Today, August 1, I called them again, as there was still no card and I was told that they decided since I did not use the card enough, they decided to not send a new one. I have other credit cards, and when you don't use them for a period of time, they will let you know that they will close the card for non use. NOT USX! They just do it! Also have many other stories. Don't even get me started about how they handle calls for a home refinance! They lost that business from us too!

One of the biggest things is that not only do they know my name, they treat me like family. They have helped us a lot to be better with our money. They are always willing to help you make the best financial choices. Our credit rating has gone up. Also they give us a better interest rate on our car loan. They have a couple of different locations and we don't pay a fee to use PNC ATMs. They offer brokerage services, investment planning, retirement IRAs as well as other services. They even have online banking. It's a great institution.

When sought to correct, this bank escalated things to the police in order to prevent correction. This attempt failed from the bank with the police because they had no right to assign anyone to a power of attorney that was not requested to be included on a power of attorney. The result was the son getting barred from the bank for life because he asked why the bank did that. The bank had no sympathy for the family member and only took actions in their own interests. Such as banning the individual for life from the bank when the person asked why they did something that they are not allowed to do (unless banks can assign anyone to anything they like First Commonwealth Bank did..), This bank is getting away with whatever they want too. The assistant manager's name was Angie out of the Delmont branch and manager's name was Wendy. Also, general manager made a further decision to close all accounts including son's business account who banked with establishment without any issue for 11 years. My name is Michael Kokolis and this is all true. This bank and all of its corporate managers where aware of the events. This bank simply protected the bank by banning the son and took actions to the local police, Delmont Pennsylvania Police Station, when the son was just trying to simply find out why, how, and what gave them the right to act in the manner that they did. And after all the bank will not stop emailing the son, for over a year, offers to do business, when the son is banned from ever doing business with them. It's really sicking. This bank has proven to the son that they can do whatever they want to him, answer no questions, and still harass him with emails inviting him to do business with the bank that has banned him form ever doing business with... Michael Kokolis (724) 771-6195 mike@alarm.life Have all correspondents from bank and hope no one has to be treated like this again from a corporation who will cover up their mistakes and protect theirselves from their mistakes at any cost to a person. Please highly consider this review before banking or continuing to bank with First Commonwealth Bank. Establishments who have done things like this before and gotten away with will more than likely do it again and why even put yourself at such a chance. For this just happened without any warning signs, meaning there never was an issue before, and once this happened this was how they handled it.

I have been…read morewith the credit union since it was AK Valley Federal Credit Union and for the most part they have served me well. Had a few hiccups and issues along the way. They have always managed to work out any problem. I'm not a huge fan of the $5 monthly fee for checking but it isn't the worst out there. With that they offer credit monitoring and a few other things which is nice. Well not every branch has the virtual live teller Lower Burrell does though and it's awesome!!! Open till 7 m-f and till 2 on Saturdays it is super Convenient and easy to use. They now are also offering free virtual live banking wherever you are just by using the app and your smart phone/device. Now that's pretty cool for a bank. They've accepted mobile deposits for years but this is next level. Also they are part of the Zelle network and using them to send and receive money securely and almost instantly is a breeze! Super awesome and better than PayPal for the friend and family payments. I haven't been in a branch since right around pandemic time but over the years I've made made friends here because the people are so friendly and easy to deal with and remember your name and face and really build relationships just from banking and that's probably the biggest reason no matter what issue I've had here in the past I stay with them. Check them out for all your banking needs! Tell them I sent you!!

In a day when most of our bank transactions are electronic, who cares about bank branches, right?…read moreWell, you might just need to come into a bank sometime, and I hope for your sake that it is this one! The staff here is excellent. They have a person dedicated to greeting you and allocating someone to your needs. There are always tellers available, and they always have a positive attitude--not just a lack of a negative attitude, but an actual genuine desire to help you. We have our safe deposit box here, and we can always get at it within 5 minutes. They literally rush to find someone with keys. It's remarkable.

Fast forward to about a year or so ago I received a $1000 deposit from UC to my PNC checking account and I withdrew it to use for whatever reason. I received a second deposit of the same amount and transferred it to another account. After these two transactions, PNC informed me that my account was overdrawn by $1000. I have no idea how I was able to withdraw $1000 from my account if it wasn't in there to begin with. It was deposited and I transferred it. I'm assuming there was a glitch in their system but whatever the heck happened, apparently it was MY fault and not THEIRS. Needless to say, I no longer bank with them. They did not care to understand my side of the story nor would they explain how this happened. I was a loyal and dedicated customer from 1998 - 2025 and this what I get in return. A bad mark on my credit that was PNC's fault. 4

I explained to them that I have 2 other credit unions in another state but I wanted something local and might eventually use them as one of my main credit unions. The first thing that I didn't like was when you open an account you do it virtually even though I went to one of their locations. They put you in a booth and I had to talk to two different people to open the account and send my ID to them. Last week I got a call saying my account was inactive. The person said to keep my account active I had to do a transaction at least once a month. I told her that no one ever told me this when I opened the account. Later I called the Clearview to get more information about account requirements. The person that I spoke to said to avoid a fee you had a minimum balance and do a transaction at least once a month. I told her that I was never told this. She said that no one ever reads the paperwork. My paperwork was presented to me on a computer screen and it was almost impossible to read it all. I was never given a copy. Today I went to close my account. I was told I will not get my $10 deposit back because I am closing my account before 90 days. Clearview should really be upfront with their account rules. Beware.
