I have been…read morewith the credit union since it was AK Valley Federal Credit Union and for the most part they have served me well. Had a few hiccups and issues along the way. They have always managed to work out any problem. I'm not a huge fan of the $5 monthly fee for checking but it isn't the worst out there. With that they offer credit monitoring and a few other things which is nice. Well not every branch has the virtual live teller Lower Burrell does though and it's awesome!!! Open till 7 m-f and till 2 on Saturdays it is super Convenient and easy to use. They now are also offering free virtual live banking wherever you are just by using the app and your smart phone/device. Now that's pretty cool for a bank. They've accepted mobile deposits for years but this is next level. Also they are part of the Zelle network and using them to send and receive money securely and almost instantly is a breeze! Super awesome and better than PayPal for the friend and family payments. I haven't been in a branch since right around pandemic time but over the years I've made made friends here because the people are so friendly and easy to deal with and remember your name and face and really build relationships just from banking and that's probably the biggest reason no matter what issue I've had here in the past I stay with them. I…read morebelieve we spent at least five hours total speaking to and meeting with the bank representative and she strong armed and verbally tried to convince my mother with her power of attorney and additional family member in attendance to not close account. Thank goodness she was finally able to get her money away from this bank as they are doing business in a very unethical and unprofessional way by causing stress anxiety and frustration to long time elderly clients. I called the bank and no one could say why. The letter just said she went against their agreement which she did no such thing. Her account was in the Penn Hills office. She doesn't drive and depends on me to take her everywhere. This letter came from the main office downtown, not from the branch.

PNC is the worst bank I've ever dealt with. Without explanation, they cancelled my checking…read moreaccount. I'm an 80 year old man with no car who will now have to walk 3 miles each way to the nearest bank to open a new account. When I called the bank, I was given no explanation for this cancellation and that their policy was to not discuss any reason for their cruel and inexplicable decision to kick me to the curb.
