I had a few trees in the front yard of a rental house that were dropping branches and looking sickly, and I didn't know if the trees needed to come down or if they just needed some TLC and branch trimming. I called several tree companies and ultimately went with Northside. Communication. They always either answered the phone right away during regular business hours, or someone returned my call promptly from a voice message. It's something that seems so obvious and simple, yet other tree companies were unreachable. Northside also kept me informed at each step in the process. The person who evaluated the trees gave me clear, helpful information and options. Competitive pricing with no hidden costs. I got estimates from a handful of companies, and Northside was the only one that clearly listed all costs on the estimate, including the local permit fee. Their fees were very competitive with the other companies I contacted, and I didn't have to worry about additional stump grinding or removal fees that at least one company completely neglected to include. Professional completion of the job. They arrived on the day and time they said they would. They were efficient and professional. They took down the trees, ground the stumps, and removed all debris. Other than the dying trees being gone, it looked like no one was even there. I would definitely use them again. read more

My condo building needed a really large and tall water oak tree to come down. The tree was over 32 feet tall and quite large. Usually when you get quotes for this type of work, you get prices all over the place. Usually you don't really want to go with lowest bidder, but in this case Northside Tree Professionals were not only the most affordable, but they were also the best in terms of customer service and follow up. Mark, Heather, and Elmer (Crew leader) were all great to work with. Heather took care of all the admin stuff, Mark called to make sure we were satisfied with the work immediately after the crew had finished, and Elmer was super friendly, got the tree down, and made sure the debris was cleaned up and yard cleared. He and his crew also went above and beyond and left us a couple slabs from the base of the tree at our request. We were afraid this venture would turn into a nightmare since none of us had ever had to have a tree this large removed, but Northside made it totally painless and quick. We will absolutely look to Northside for any future tree work!!! read more

I have used Northside tree professionals many times for routine maintenance and not-so-routine jobs and I've never been disappointed. The last job I assigned them was different from the previous ones because it involved a huge oak tree that was sick and was located less than ten feet from the house. Access to the tree was only possible with a crane, and every piece of that tree had to be lifted over the house and dropped onto my front yard. You can imagine my anxiety! Everything was done impeccably. Northside trees took every precaution so that the whole process would run smoothly, and my property was left exactly as it was before they came. I love these guys: Doug, Elmer, Wil, and the rest of the crew, they will go out of their way to make your experience as pleasant as possible. And by the way, the price was totally fair for a job this big. I will definitely use them again and again, and I highly recommend them. If I could give them 6 stars, I would. read more

I am extremely please with Northside Tree Professionals. I called them again to have a professional come out and look at the trees on our property to see if any of them had problems or needed to be removed. Douglas came out at the scheduled time and he looked at the trees and discussed his observations with me. Hew was very professional and knowledgeable. I decided to do all of the work he suggested and I scheduled the work. On the day the work was to be done the crew arrived on time and Will the project manager went over the job with me before they started. I also told him that I wanted them to remove any dead branches they found. They added that to the work with out any problem. The crew that came out did an excellent job and took down trees and cleaned up the yard afterward. This is the third time I have used Northside Tree Professionals and I have been extremely pleased each time. I will use them for all of my tree needs in the future. read more

This was my first time using Northside Tree Professionals and I will definitely use them again. They were very customer oriented from start to finish. They came right out to give me an estimate and then when it was evident the job would be rained out the afternoon prior to my scheduled job, they called to reschedule just a few days later. They called before arrival, were very careful to protect my driveway and lawn, did the job faster than I thought they could but with the utmost caution and care, and then followed up the next day with a call to make sure everything was to my satisfaction, offering to correct anything that was not. The office staff as well as the onsite workers were both professional and friendly and easy to work with. When they arrived my lawn and driveway were covered with leaves from the tree that they were to remove. When they left the driveway and lawn were clean and leaf free, better than when they arrived. read more

I heard about Northside Tree Professionals from a friend, and so, this Spring, I had them take down a very large, 30" diameter pine tree that was located only a few feet from my house in my back yard. This particular tree showed damage to the trunk, and had grown with a pronounced lean so that most of the tree was positioned directly above my house. NTP also took down several smaller trees, and trimmed others. The NTP crew got the big dangerous tree taken down safely and expertly. They handled all the other tasks professionally and efficiently, including clean up. They used a skid-steer loader during clean up, and protected my lawn areas along the access route by laying down a trail of plywood sheets, which worked very well. Everyone was courteous, professional, on-time, responsive, and pleasant. The price was very fair and affordable. I will definitely use Northside Tree Professionals again, and would highly recommend them. read more

I have used Northside tree 3 times over the past year and a half and have been extremely satisfied. Once to remove a dangerous tree that had been hit by lightning and twice for landscaping purposes. Each time, I received an estimate and evaluation of other trees in my yard prior to the work being started. Douglas completed this process for me each time and was great!!! The tree removal work was completed on time and very professionally led by Elmer. For my yard, portions of my fence had to be removed to allow equipment access to the trees. This was done perfectly...the fence was removed and rehung without any damage or issue. Additionally, the team working on our yard was very dedicated to keeping the process as clean as possible. They picked up stray limbs and blew off leaves once the removal was complete. I would highly recommend Northside tree to people in the Atlanta area and will continue to use them myself for future projects. read more

Great job!!! Initially met Elmer, David and the crew when our cat was in our neighbor's tree and needed help because we didn't have the time for him to climb down. This all took place after they had been on the job all day and was gracious to come and help us. David, the tree climber, and everybody else was patient and understanding of our concern. Though, the cat was literally shook out of the tree, over 60 feet up, he was safely caught in a bedspread by the crew, the neighbor and us. Soon after that happy ending, we found ourselves in need of tree removal and trimmings. The timing, cost, and professionalism demonstrated by the crew was the superb. Our yard was cleaner after the job was finished than before. Our gardens were undamaged as well as the yard from the sections cut. Amazing what David can do with a chainsaw. I recommend these guys for any tree work needed and rescuing of your feline friend read more

Posting on behalf of a satisfied customer (with permission). I want to brag about Will and his team of professionals. I think I summed it up pretty well (below) but if you have any questions of me, please let me know. My report to the Fontainebleau Swim and Tennis Board will get Northside Tree Professional some good press in next months publishing to the membership. Thanks again for a GREAT JOB! Northside Tree Professionals were ahead of schedule, very friendly, and professional. The area at my swim and tennis club looked BETTER after they left. They cleaned up not only the tree removal area but also the parking lot where the chipper was located. They never stopped until the 6 trees were taken down and the clean up was done. I found the Professionals to handle my (and my clubs) tree removal business. Thanks to Will and his team for a terrific job! read more

I recently bought a new single family home and had a few trees in the middle of the back yard that was covered in kudzu and positioned very awkwardly. I was a little wary about getting them cut down, but after Doug came out to quote me, I felt so much more confident that it was the right thing to do and it was not a difficult job. Doug gave me tips, helped me understand the variety of trees in my back yard (for my own education), and I felt he was honest in his feedback and opinion. Team Elmer came out and, let me tell you, the job was quick, efficient, and clean! They grounded up the stump and removed all traces of the work in record time (the guy was up the tree before I knew work was starting)! I'm super impressed, the guys are genuinely friendly and knowledgeable, and the prices are incredible! I highly recommend, and have already recommended! read more

We live in a home that is 90 years old and the many trees around us are enormous. During the last big wind/ice storm, one of the 70 foot trees fell on and next to our house and large limbs fell from other trees. We called two companies for an estimate. Elmer from Northside was out here the next day as was another company. Elmer had his estimate back to us the next morning and also pointed out some dangerous branches and trees that were ready to fall. The other company did not get back to us with a written estimate for several days and encouraged us to take out some healthy trees while ignoring the dangerous dead ones. Northside was reasonably priced, honest, responsive and working with Elmer was a real pleasure. They did a great cleanup afterwards. I will never use any company besides Northside for tree work in the future. read more

We had several poplars on our property that needed to come down. They were increasingly leaning over the house, causing me many sleepless nights when the wind would start blowing. Doug came out (on time!) and worked up an estimate that was significantly lower than other companies I talked to. On a recommendation from my next-door neighbor, I called Northside to have them take care of my problem. Mark at Northside kept me informed on where we were with regard to the local permits and we were able to schedule removal in just a couple of weeks. The crews arrived when they said they would. The guys worked all day taking down the trees and cleaning up, which they did fantastically! Call Mark at Northside when you need any help with your trees. You won't be disappointed. read more

I used Northside Tree Professionals for 8 trees at my own home and 29 trees at my parents' vacant home prior to renovation. First let me say I was ecstatic to meet the estimator Doug and get such a great price especially for an intown job. It was VERY affordable. Second, the crew was amazing. They were extremely nice and informative. They prepared by assessing the trees, what was nearby, sharpening their saws, getting their tree climbers ready, lining up the shredders, etc. They rope the limbs and as they fall, they do not hit the ground. A clean up team cleaned up instantly as the limbs came down. Mark and the entire crew were like family by the time the job was done and I felt that I will forever now have my own tree service to call upon. I won't ever use anyone but NSTP. read more

I had waited way too many years to have two very tall pine trees removed from my backyard. Most of the yard is taken up by the pool so access is limited and the trees could not just be cut down and allowed to fall. They had to be cut down in pieces. I realized it would be expensive due to all of the challenges. And then there's just the headache of finding a reputable company that can do it without damaging my yard, my house or my neighbors' houses. I FINALLY HAD to have them removed this year. I had 4 reputable and highly recommended tree companies quote the job. After reading all the reviews and from the recommendation of a neighbor, I chose Northside Tree Professionals. The cost was reasonable, the crew was courteous and it was an overall favorable experience. read more

This is my second time using NSTP. Fantastic. My first job was smaller. It consisted of a small crew cutting down some small trees. My latest job involved around 13 trees around 50- 80 feet tall. Some of these were less than five feet from my house. They aren't the cheapest option out there but honestly I'm not the person who is gonna use the cheapest option when a crane is lifting trees over my house. They still provided a similar quote to as another well rated company in Atlanta but offered more trees cut down. They showed up on time. Cut down trees quickly. No damage to the driveway. Cleaned up the yard when they were finished. I will use them for the next round of trees we cut down again If you want a good job done. Go with them. They won't disappoint. read more

This is our second time using Northside Tree Professionals and we couldn't be happier with the job they did. We had a huge oak tree at the top of our driveway removed. It had a big bend in the trunk, and the top of it was leaning over our house. Our neighbors also had a tree taken out beside a fence we share. NTP took both trees out at the same time, and gave us a great deal on both jobs. They took their time, no damage to the fence or surrounding trees, and cleaned everything up. They even got up on our roof and blew it off, because a lot of sawdust had settled there. They were very professional with great customer service. Their estimate was the lowest by far. We will for sure use them again, and will recommend them to all our friends. read more

We could not be happier with NST! Every interaction -- from Heather in the office to Doug and his crew -- has been friendly, professional, and swift. We had several large trees come down during a storm. Doug walked the property with us to help us determine the best course of action and provided a competitive quote. We decided to breakdown one of the smaller poplar trees on our own and hired NST to take care of a large red oak. We asked Doug to leave us a good portion of the red oak's trunk for fire wood. His team went above and beyond by breaking down the trunk into easy to move pieces as well as cleaned up a couple piles of twigs and debris in our front yard from the poplar we are still working on (we should have hired NST to do it all!). read more

Just used NST after stumbling onto them doing work at a neighbor's. We needed them to trim some high, large limbs overhanging our roof. It was a tricky job as the large tree has our house 15' away on one side and is 15' from neighbor's. Another tree co trimmed one side but neglected our order to trim the other, and damaged our roof in process. Not a good experience so we found someone new! Northside tree was great from start dealing with Douglas for estimate & scheduling, and the on-site supe who saw to it our houses were not damaged and clean up was done. Very nice supervisory follow up. They spent a lot of time tidying up (without being asked) which we appreciated. I'll go to them first for future jobs. read more
