Northside Collision in Camillus was great to me. They kept me updated with every aspect of my fix. Everything was handled so easily. My car is looking and feeling just as good as it was before the accident. I unfortunately sent my vehicle to Northside Collision in Camillus due to damage from a deer. The hood, driver's side door and front panel was replaced. After approximately a couple of years. The paint peeled everywhere they painted, on top of that the door they replaced is rusting. They did other repairs as well. After months of calling with no return call I stopped in, a gal came out and took pictures of my vehicle. Of course she did not call me back as promised, when after repeatedly trying to reach her, she said because of the delay in contacting them they will not stand by their paint job. The hood was worse and the driver door had a very small part that was peeling as well as the side panel, which was very recent, she said no. I called the corporate office in Liverpool the gal I spoke to there was nice said they would look in to it after speaking with her boss. Of course I never again received a call back. I went there because many years ago when another vehicle was hit they did a good job, but that was a long time ago, obviously the place must have changed hands. They made a pretty good profit as the cost was in the thousands. The work is very inferior and if they know you are calling about a problem for months they will not return your calls. Not only would I not recommend them, people who asked me who did not do the paint job said they could not believe how bad it was. Caveat Emptor- Buyer Beware. After my car was rear ended in an accident I brought my Mitsubishi to northside collison for my repairs as I had heard they do quality work. It turned out my whole bumper needed to be replaced and the employees there were very helpful with navigating the other person's (the woman who hit me) insurance to make sure they paid for all of my damages and for enterprise loaner car. Northside kept me informed and called me frequently to let me know when the insurance went through and when they received the parts. I dropped my car off on Monday morning and they had a loaner car for me waiting, and they had an employee review all the repairs they were going to do and if I had any questions or concerns. They called me the NEXT day to let me know my car was finished. I went after work to get my car and it looked amazing and they detailed the inside too! My car is looking great and I will definitely be back in the future if I ever need any repairs(hoping not though). read more

I was greeted at the exact time I had set my appointment for an estimate. The estimate was quick, the repair plans were made and the rental car reserved all at the same time. They reviewed the damage of my car with me when i got a quote and dropped it off to be repaired. The staff also updated me every 3 days with the progress of my car. If I could give no stars I would. They had my car for 16 days after hitting a deer. When I walked in the first day they asked if I needed a loaner. I said yes and they said they'd call when they got one in. When I got my car back I filled out a survey and gave okay scores but added in the comments "you probably shouldn't offer free loaners if you don't have them available for more than 2 weeks". Then I started having problems with my car so I went back. The shop manager told me that the loaner originally was a misunderstanding (whatever, I have a second vehicle. It just eats gas compared to my tiny car). She said "I got your survey so well just wait until we get a loaner for you before we take your car back in". Don't leave a survey in the car, with the paperwork, in my texts, and on my email if you're going to use it against somebody and not learn from it! Anyways...my car at this point had started turning the flashers on whenever it wanted and starting whenever it wanted (due to an obvious issue with my remote start from the factory and whatever else). It was VERY random and couldn't be pinpointed by me. I explained that to them and was told it'd have to go to the shop and sit there until it happened so they could figure it out (it'd be there for a year by the time somebody happened to be in the shop and near my car and caught it acting up but I didn't care cause I'd have a loaner so I could have cared less how long it took). Walked out with the understanding she'd call me when she got a loaner in because they needed to keep it until it acted up for them. FIVE weeks later...still no call from them. Went to get in and go to work this past weekend and the issue with my car starting on its own turned into my car not starting (not due to the battery, alternator or starter..had AAA come out 2 times to check) due to the obviously same electrical problems. So I had to call in for a 10 hour shift, miss that 10 hours over time pay, holiday pay, and received 2 occurrences because it was a holiday weekend (I NEVER call in). Enough was enough. I took my car to nick Orso and he said its a simple issue!!!! Probably just an issue with the wire for my remote start being clipped or from putting my battery back in or something stupidly simple! Nick Orso said they were going to take it to the dealer across the street, have them test it, and probably replace my starter and i would be all set! They also sent me out right then with a loaner (even though I had forgot my license...talk about being accommodating!!!!) I went in just to complain to the shop manager (knowing it wouldn't solve a darn thing but it'd make me feel better!). She said her understanding when I left 5 weeks ago was that because it was a small issue and it'd have to sit there a while they thought I was fine just not doing anything about it and that I didn't need a loaner and I was just not going to do anything about it! Okay. I don't know how ANYBODY in their right minds would walk out of a shop with a car that was supposed to be fixed and now had an electrical problem and just say "oh nevermind I'll deal with it..it's not that bad!" No! Nobody would say that! It's a 2013! It wasn't going to go away! It's a car! Things don't just go away! They get worse! I explained that was just ridiculous. And I had gone in mad 5 weeks ago. I wouldn't have walked out and said forget about it. She also said she suggested bringing it to a dealer or having them bring it to a dealer when they took it in after they got a loaner. She hadn't. But I told her she could have done whatever she wanted when she took it in finally... I wouldn't have cared so long as it got fixed! Why would I have cared if they brought it to a dealer? She kept saying "oh okay it was just a misunderstanding!" How many misunderstandings can you have with one customer!?!? It seems that was her way of saying "it's not my fault" even though all of it is! I even asked her how many misunderstandings you can have with one customer and she had no answer. Because it wasn't misunderstandings. I was very clear when I spoke with her 5 weeks ago. Just fix my car. No idea how she understood that as "forget it I'll just deal with my 2013 having electrical problems that you should have fixed". TERRIBLE experience. Everybody advised me NOT to go to north side and I ignored it. Everybody since even (both AAA guys, Orso's, geico, friends, family, everybody I've told) has said "oh that's happened to me" or "they didn't fix mine right either". EVERYBODY! I haven't found a single person in my circle who's said "oh really!? They were great when I dealt with them!" That speaks for itself. Got awful experience! And super inconvenient! For such a simple issue!!! Nick Orso will also be fixing the peeling paint on the fender they replaced and painted. Just sucks I had to miss out on a day of work worth $230 and now have 2 marks on my record for a call in!!! read more

I came to Northside because a few people gave me the recommendation. My bumper was damaged due to a small accident. After having my car quoted for the repair, they told me that I had to replace my air conditioner and my impact bar. At first I was a little dubious because they didn't look damaged to me, but went with the quote anyway because I thought they're probably right. Then I went to another mechanic just to double check if I had to replace them, partly because the costly repair I had to pay extra for AC and impact bar. Turned out that they were fine. So I drove back and told the appraiser that I would want those repair to be removed from the service and just get the bumper done. Then the manager Bryant came and warned me with an almost cold and unhappy tone, "if you don't want the impact bar, just let you know that we're not going to be responsible for any of the damage incurred by it. I don't want you to come back and tell us that it's our fault". (those were almost his exact words as I remember). Personally I was very, very unhappy about what he said and his altitude. What he's trying to tell me seemed almost like threatening me if I am going to get into a deadly accident if I don't get what he wanted to replaced. It's like telling a patient in a doctor's office that if you don't get treatment and you die. What he is concerned is only his liability and nothing about my personal situation. I would care less about spending money to fix those if he gave me a good explanation. But not only he failed to explain it, he showed how apathetic he is and doesn't care people who were in accident! Not to mention he seemed so unfriendly and never really welcomed customer. I am not arguing the repair job, but just because you are thinking you're getting a lot of customers and you think you won't lose them, I can tell you that is wrong because I won't be going back there after my last one! read more
