Came here again after not being able to watch "American Sniper" at Phoenix Theaters at the Mall of Monroe because it was sold out, again. Wifey had the Fish Sandwich and I had the Northside Burger. Food was primo. The place was packed to capacity, and our server said it was because of the fish fry. I won $54 playing Keno, the drinks were strong and very well priced. Damn, that was a good night. Last time we were here I had the Prime Rib Sandwich and that was epic too. Good service considering how busy it was. Now if we can just get in to see American Sniper. read more

This has become our go-to place on Saturday afternoons. Love the atmosphere, they have lots of beers on tap, good food and excellent service. It's not right around the corner from us but it's worth the trip. We always leave here happy. read more

They now charge 3.75% credit card surcharge. I think that is a excessive. Food prices are not cheap. So it's not like the are passing on the expensive to keep prices down. Burger and onion rings with run you $15, and then tack on another 3.75%. With that said, the Food is a really good and so is the service. Selection of craft beers in excellent. Me and my husband ( African American) stopped by for lunch to celebrate my new position at work the food was delicious but the service was a bit unwelcoming, I was in the middle of enjoying my food when some random waitress asked "you need a box!" I started going to Northside Bar and Grill with a group of 15 and 25 people at a time. Management has always been very accommodating with our group. Always give them a heads up. The food is excellent. The service is very good considering we have so many people at one time. Drinks are really awesome. I highly recommend this place just to hang out for dinner or lunch or go with a group of people. They have many vegan/vegetarian dishes available and healthy choices. Burgers are traditional bar burgers with a twist and some local favorites that make them stand out. The steak burger is a easy one that everyone likes. Short wait to get in - but worth it. Wait staff was prompt and attentive. Fully intended on getting a burger, but went for the Traverse City Salad instead - grilled chicken, walnuts, dried cherries. So good! And huge! It came in what I use as a mixing bowl. Boyfriend had the prime rib sandwich with fries. Best he ever had! Others called this place pricey - I think the prices were reasonable. Sandwiches come with chips - can upgrade to fries for 1.75 - was worth it. The fries were great. Don't bother playing music - you won't be able to hear it when the place is packed. Food was great. We had the Prime rib sandwich. Michelle put mustard on it but we both agreed some sort of horseradish sauce or horseradish mustard might be a good addition. Even if on the side with the Au Jus. I had the Ghost pepper burger. Don't be afraid, it won't hurt you, but it does have a nice little bite. Waitstaff wasn't worth a crap but maybe it was just the luck of the draw so I'll only dock a point, after lots of consideration. It is a small, small, town after all. Stopped in for lunch the other day...ordered a hamburger with fries. Burger was good...well done as I asked. Fries are on the shoestring style...not bad...at least they are not covered with seasonings...regular fries. 2.99 for pop but free refills...so drink all you can. Service was fine. Came here for my birthday last Friday. Outside seating is not Covid appropriate so I would not be back until post Covid. Food, service, and restaurant overall were very good. Had a Reuben which was tasty as was the Long Island iced t. Ok service. Split perch and Reuben with the wife and fish was good but not great. This was our first time trying Northside, pics & reviews looked good. We had a short wait outside for a table, we were asked if we minded sitting outside(this was last Friday so it was still nice),we said no problem. As we walked thru the bar to go to the patio, I was checking it out and mostly upset to see....it was PACKED!! Not an empty seat, table or bar stool to be seen. At this point, I was very happy to be sitting outside. The food & drinks were good but service was a little slow. Very disappointing, we will not be back!!!!! We stumbled upon this bar while driving down telegraph during the telegraph cruise. Ordered the green bean fries for an appetizer, and the waitress wasnt lying-- they were seriously awesome. We Never had those before, but the bf-- typically a very fussy eater-- tried it and loved them. He ordered the prime sandwich special (6.95 on Saturdays) and I got their burger with fries. He said it was probably the best prime rib sandwich he's ever had. If we are ever back in the neighborhood, we would definitely come back. Good food, good service. Not bad! read more

Great little hole-in-the-wall bar. Not far from one of our offices, this is a great lunch option. Taco Tuesday is one our our crews favorite of their daily specials. Sandwiches looked great. Upping my review as Northside has become a staple of my eating-out around town. Menu here is tiny, but I think that's why it's nicely consistent. Burgers are good here, as is the Slim Tom and club sandwich. The fish is good too, and I'm not a huge fan of fish. Never once have I had bad service. Best thing here though is the beer selection. It's robust and updates all the time. They are even modernized with having it available to see on the website or through an app. Much respect for that. Bad thing here is that when it's busy, good luck getting a table. Might be waiting for quite a while. Also, carpool, as there's not much parking available. read more

Definitely a must try place. We went on a Thursday and had the Northern Burgers on special for $6.99. We also decided to try the cheese curds as an appetizer. The cheese curds are a full basket and well worth the price, the curds were big and the breading was crunchy. As for the burgers, they are really big! I would recommend the junior size for anyone who doesn't want too much. It was cooked perfectly but unfortunately there wasn't enough seasoning in the burger, which I see way too often. However, the sweet potato fries almost made up for it! They came out hot and with a perfect marshmallow/cinnamon dip which wasn't what I expected, but I'm willing to try almost everything. My boyfriend got onion rings with his burger and he said they were very good as well. The food came out in a great amount of time, and the waitress was great even though she was busy. We will definitely be back to try something else other than burgers, but still, not a bad burger joint! read more

This place may be small, but it is mighty! If you love classic cars, this seems to be the place that classic car owners are drawn to. They have tons of good beer specials if you're a Bud/Miller type person, but they also have a TON of craft beer! Their menu may be on the smaller side, but everything I've ever had is very good. The fried green beans are a great appetizer, and their salad portions are huge! They do get a little crowded during the nights/weekends, but with the weather getting nicer you'll have some more space freed up as people love to sit on the patio. read more
