Kameron was responsive and efficient, came out quick and figured out the problem quickly, did great

I've been using Northside for a long time. I had geothermal HVAC in my home and was having a hard time finding a qualified company who had geothermal expertise. Northside took good care of my issues and was able to service my units. Having four units in my house, two geo and two standard units, I had to replace both of my non-geo units. Again, Northside to the rescue. They offer top notch equipment with outstanding techs. They are always quick to respond and schedule service when I needed it. If you are looking for service, replacement, or new build, you can't go wrong by choosing Northside. read more

Great service and response. Had an issue with my zoning system for my unit. Johnny came out on time and quickly diagnosed and repaired the issue. He was extremely nice and professional. Price was very fair. I highly recommend Northside! read more

Alright. I'm fed up with these guys. We've purchased a new AC unit from them probably years ago, but our ac seems to go out every other month. The guys have been here four times in a month and a half. The workers are very nice, but they suck. They never finish the job and correctly check for leaks. Today is a broken coil, two weeks ago it was dampers, two DAYS ago it was low on Freon. You get the point. They're ordering parts AGAIN which will be here in two weeks. Our house is 82° upstairs at 8am. It's 97° outside all week... you can cook eggs on the sidewalk! Not sure who trained these guys but how do you not check and make sure everything is functioning, there are no leaks, and there's enough Freon before you leave? Buddy was here two days ago for FIVE HOURS just for sh*t to hit the fan again and ONLY WORK FOR 18 HOURS BEFORE IT BROKE AGAIN!!!!!! Best part: we can't even contact the owner/ manager. This is a sick game these people are playing. I hope everyone feels how dramatic I'm being! ITS HOTTER THAN HECK. I'm sweating from places I've never sweat before! Just so these guys can get $600 for every visit off of us. read more

Kameron was great! He got the job done in a timely manner. Was friendly and communicative.

Tech was a nice guy. However, the way they trouble shoot is : let's fix this and hope it works but it could be anything. They sold me on a hard start and a capacitor. Probably don't need the hard start: they said I probably have a leak though too but it could be anywhere. They left. Ac worked overnight and the next day the unit inside the house shook violently. Only their employee had been up in the attic. I called and they sent the same person in again. They opened the motor to find screws had fallen out. They are basically blaming our family member who put the motor in because they are unlicensed for the fact that there were missing screws. Our unit NEVER SHOOK BEFORE THEY WENT UP There. Now we have a service charge and another charger for them opening the motor of near $300 . Plus now our brand new blower motor is damaged and they are saying we need to replace the whole thing. THIS IS UNETHICAL, they nickel and dime you and suggest this and that and I've never seen money slip away quicker. Then I call this "shady buisness" and the women on the phone got extremely defensive and wouldn't let me finish what I was saying. Well it is shady if something that never made a noise before shakes our entire house after their tech was the last one in the attic. read more

Last week Frank, Julian, and Eddie were at our home installing our new HVAC system. This crew was perfection & took excellent care of us. They were punctual, professional, good at communicating with me, and great at cleaning up afterwards. We have been Northside customers for about 15 years and have truly enjoyed watching this local business grow! Jerry, the owner is very involved and easy to talk to & Chuck who coordinated everything for us is great to work with and made sure all of our questions were answered. read more

Our home central air conditioning system died in he middle of July and we needed to get a replacement. We did a full due diligence search considering all the options available. Please allow me to save you similar time by telling you not to bother and just go to Northside Air. I will tell you that these guys will not be your cheapest option in town (they will be very fair though) but come on, you are talking about buying a system that will control your home environment, every day of every year. Do you really want to be cheap about this or do you want a really good system. These guys were great if I can understate their value. When I inquired they sent Chuck out. He did a full analysis of the home and then sat down and explained all the whys and whatfors. He never pushed us to buy any extra whistles or bells, just laid out our options. When the guys came out to install, they just did an awesome job. From start to finish, their work was clear, accurate and spot on. What a pleasure to work with these guys. Five seconds after they left, you could never tell they were here working, thats how clean they were and how professional their installation was. Great company, great people, great work, great product. These people are the real deal. read more

I had a new system installed several years ago. An initial problem was that they did not install the unit listed in the contract (I found out because I was looking to see if the warranty had been filed). They did replace the unit but it was not installed properly. I mentioned to them after the installation was complete that I could feel cold air around the unit. They said there wasn't a problem. I was thinking there might be one place that wasn't sealed but I could not quite reach myself, so I put a hole in the drywall to reach. The unit was not sealed at all. I bought a bucket mastic and a roll of mastic tape and started sealing myself. I went into the attic space and none of the ducts to the air supply were sealed - not at all! They were just stuck in place. When I went into the attic it was a September day and I felt comfortable when I started working. By the time I was done, I was sweating like crazy. Note, I'm writing this review now as I'm looking for someone to replace my air ducts and saw their great reviews. read more

Bought my house in 2010 and have never used any other company to service my AC and heat. I gave them a call on recommendation from family who have been using them for years. Everyone I've talked to at this company has been extremely polite and helpful. The techs they send out all show up on time and will call ahead when they are on their way. They've all been good about explaining what they're doing and answer any questions. The last few times I've had my system serviced by Mike who is really nice and professional. He informed me that I had a small coolant leak in my system and didn't try to "upsell" me, just told me about the problem he found and gave me some options and how much each option would cost - in fact he recommended the cheapest option which has been working out fine 6 months later. I don't have much experience but they are reliable, professional, and as far as I know do great work at a reasonable price. Give these guys a call, you won't regret it. read more

Attention: Jerry Excellence deserves recognition and reward. The team of employees sent to install my HVAC unit no doubt are a product of your leadership skills! Well Done to Tony R., Jamar, Jason & Tamarus. This experience was more rewarding than buying a new car! All my referrals will go to Northside AC! Thank you Tony H. for selling the anti-sales lady! I called Wednesday morning before Thanksgiving because our heat was not turning on and Chris was at my house by 10:30am! He quickly located the issue, contacted a local supply shop to see if they had the part that I needed, drove out to Carrollton to pick up the piece, came right back, and got everything working! I feel like businesses typically say they have to order a part and then you have to reschedule another visit, so I was very thankful that Chris didn't say that. It was $89 for the service call and then $200 for the piece/installation-honestly, I don't think that is too expensive if it gets our heat working and we can hold off until spring to replace our whole unit. We will definitely be contacting in the spring to continue using their services. read more

What a ripoff! While a 10 year warranty is in effect, it is only for parts, labor is not included. Recently had a need for repair on my five year old heat pump. Warranty covered only the part not the labor. When asked how long to install the part, the answer was 2-4 hours. When asked how much $$ to replace the part the answer was $750. That works out to about $180/hour. When asked to quantify the breakdown of the $750 to see what made this so expensive, I was told it is what it is!! Gobbledygook about the cost of welding rods, etc. The tech said there two options to making the repair: 1 do a part replacement, 2 replace the entire compressor. Cost to do the part replacement $750 plus the cost of the refrigerant or connect two hoses for the compressor replacement ,certainly not $750. Very little $ for Northside to replace the entire compressor, lots of $ to replace the part. I asked to speak with the manager of the company about this matter, I am still waiting. Northside has certainly not put the customer first. I am "over a barrel" when it comes to having a working heat pump. Northside will take my $ and never look back. I am certainly being serviced. They charge $90 as a service fee to diagnose what needs to be fixed and if I decide to use the service and get the repair done the $90 does not go towards the repair! Okay, that's called swindling. It's understandable if I decided not to use the service to pay for the diagnosis but if I do want to use the service it's 90 bucks plus whatever the repair cost is. Good luck robbing people, consumers are not as gullible as these folks think people are. read more

Can't say enough good things about these guys. Had to replace my entire HVAC system. Due to cost, obtained multiple (4) bids from noted companies all top rated on Yelp. The bids ranged from handwritten with little detail on assessing layout & rating the necessary tonnage for the livable square footage to very detailed room by room analysis with printed a printed out breakdown on everything. Thankfully, Northside was very detailed and surprisingly one of the lower estimates. While I do subscribe to the adage you get what you pay for, like most I don't want to pay more than I need to. I love that these guys use American Standard (highest rated in Consumer Reports). & as honest as the day is long. Highly recommend. read more

I highly recommend Northside Air Conditioning. Chuck Parker promptly reviewed our broken system and gave us several upgrade options. Within two days they were here to update our entire system, inside and out including the furnace. The techs, Spencer Murray and Jamar Johnson, were very professional. They were hard working despite the weather being in the high 90's. They took the time to vacuum any debris that had fallen on the floor. They also inspected every vent in the house and found one vent had a quarter size piece of insulation and promptly removed it. We were very pleased with the service provided by all employees at Northside Air Conditioning. read more

Dishonest company... one of their techs ran me off the road causing $1000 worth of damage to my car & the guy drove away (Hit & Run). I called the company & was told they would take care of it. They didn't. The owner said I needed to go through my insurance company & file uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage. I have a high deductible, so in essence, I paid for the damages. Seems to me, I shouldn't have to pay for damages or file a claim on my insurance when it was their techs fault. I guess I should've just let him hit me, instead of practicing defensive driving. I would be leery of the honesty of this company. What happened to me shows their character & I wouldn't trust them in my home. Dishonest & skeezy. I'm forwarding this message to all my family & friends so they know not to ever use this company for any HVAC needs. read more

Great service! We came home on the Sunday of the Independence Day weekend and our AC wasn't working. The technician was to our house within an hour and able to fix our unit. He had a great attitude even though it was a Sunday of a holiday weekend. He also helped us with a few of our filters. Thank you Northside for keeping us (and our dog) out of a hotel! read more

We had a new hvac system installed 2 weeks ago and Northside a/c did an outstanding job. I did extensive research seeing that having this done is not a cheap expense. I had 6 companies come out and I was most impressed with them. Chuck the comfort specialist sealed the deal. He repeated a couple things that I already heard about my old system but he never tried to upsize/upcharge me with anything. He was very detailed with the inspection and I was appreciative of that. He went over my options and explained everything very well. The techs also carried the awesome customer service and professionalism that Chuck did. Tony, Jamar and Kelton were great and would update me throughout the install on how it was going. They were very knowledgeable as well. Northside air were not the cheapest BUT not the most expensive either. I was not looking for cheap I was looking for quality. Northside Air certainly delivered that and more. I highly recommend them to anyone needing work done. read more

What a great company. My AC went out on a Saturday night. Sunday Morning I called multiple companies. By 10am Northside had called me and gave me the option of coming out on a Sunday or waiting until Monday morning. John explained all the charges. I opted for Sunday! He said he would be at my house between 1 and 3 and at 1:30 he was at the house. He was quick and efficient and the air was back on by 2:30! Prices were very reasonable. read more

I've used Northside for 15+ years. They do excellent work. Their technicians are polite, knowledgeable and you can believe whatever they recommend. They are not pushy at all. I've had an annual contract with them on all of my ac/heat units for years. They come out in spring and fall to inspect equipment, test it, change all my filters and give you a percentage off of parts if anything needs done at that time or any other time during the year. They just replaced one of my AC units (compressor and attic coils). Did great job. laid covering to protect floors, and I'm delighted with the results. Great people. read more
