I was called on a Friday at 4pm to immediately pick my daughter up and we live 10 hours away. This program is a punishment based treatment, not positive reinforcement. They encourage this when the child says that the parent doesn't understand them, do as they desire or anything else. They also encourage to contact them vs a parent when something happens, goes wrong, or what the child struggles with. This is total separation of the parent/child relationship, not guidance! Beware!!! It's more like brainwashing than anything.

They're professional. They take insurance. Best of all, for those seeking it, they have a Christian foundation. It's not overt/in-your-face, but it's nice to know that foundation is there for those for whom it's important. They're located just off Highway 15 in the Midsota Building with a private parking lot.

It was literally my first appointment, I felt so humiliated and misunderstood when she didn't give me an option to say "no" to being escorted to the mental hospital. If I wanted to find a psychiatrist at St. Cloud hospital, I could have just went there instead of at Nystrom. She lacks any understanding in her patients, or any empathy on what they're going through. I DO NOT recommend her.
