I don't know about anyone else, but I have had the best of luck with the services I've received from Nystroms...with the program I'm in (Cadi waiver, etc), I have an ARHMS nurse, a separate worker, and my therapist. Im just shy of 55, and after many years(& many therapist), I have one that rates in my top 3(out of a couple dozen, that's pretty good). Nathan Anderson is relatable, easy to talk to, and doesn't talk down to me. Dr. Zurya Anjum sent me to St. Cloud Hospital because SHE felt I wasn't safe, even though I made it clear that I was okay and I was just hoping she could help find me medication to help me with my problems. It was literally my first appointment, I felt so humiliated and misunderstood when she didn't give me an option to say "no" to being escorted to the mental hospital. If I wanted to find a psychiatrist at St. Cloud hospital, I could have just went there instead of at Nystrom. She lacks any understanding in her patients, or any empathy on what they're going through. I DO NOT recommend her. read more

Nystrom for short, is very keen at wasting my time. My doctor refuses to treat my ADHD and even if she didn't despite having a diagnosis already will make you re take the test for ADHD for no reason. Waiting many weeks for an appointment that didn't even last 5 minuets. I signed up for therapy which i desperately need I have to wait months just for the first appointment. I also signed up for the ARMS program which also took weeks only for her to cancel and not give me a date when I can re schedule. No matter how many times I ask they won't give me a psychiatrist. And the doctor they did give me won't listen when I say the meds don't work. All in all I highly reccomend you stick with your primary physician or look elsewhere for help. read more

Nystrom & Associates is new to St. Cloud, but has many offices throughout the Twin Cities. They offer licensed and trained counselors, psychiatrists, and psychologists, marriage and family therapists, drug and alcohol counseling, support groups, and more - the whole gamut of services. They're professional. They take insurance. Best of all, for those seeking it, they have a Christian foundation. It's not overt/in-your-face, but it's nice to know that foundation is there for those for whom it's important. They're located just off Highway 15 in the Midsota Building with a private parking lot. read more

If I could provide a worse review than 1 star, I would. A family member of mine was recently receiving treatment from Dr. Zurya Anjum. Dr. Anjum disrupted my family member's long-standing medications, creating a mental health crisis--and has essentially been experimenting with my family member's mental health. She has been rude, does not communicate or return phone calls--nor does the office manager--and the doctor has exacerbated a difficult situation because she seems to have little to no empathy for her patients. My family member is not a danger--to herself or others--and has plenty of family support, but Dr. Anjum essentially called the police on my elderly relative to have her taken to the hospital. This is an incredibly aggressive and needlessly stressful experience for an elderly person experiencing health problems--physical as well as mental. I am disgusted with this clinic's policies and Dr. Anjum's poor people skills, patient care, and ability to treat mental illness. read more

The doctor I met was inconsiderate. She triggered my PTSD, seemingly without a care. I was pushed to fill out forms (A LOT of forms) when I was obviously not okay after the appointment. No one would listen to me about what happened. read more

Nystrom is a hot mess seemingly unable to secure support staff for more than a few months Recently I was treated disrespectfully by the office manager, literally lied to me, support staff doing the same all while be prompted by someone (that I could hear clearly) in the background. I called in a distressed mood, had already spoken to a non-Nystrom related crisis line sine they offer no such service and had regained my composure. within in moments of speaking with a defensive, rude and condescending office manager, I was in near tears. If you cannot do your jobs effectively, find another field. Your behavior towards clientele is abhorrent, perhaps Walmart is hiriring. read more

Me and my children receive services from Nystrom and Ass, and they are amazing. Friendly, compassionate, understanding and supportive are only a few of the wonderful qualities they have to offer. They have many services to offer for both adults and children. I have both a therapist and an ARHMS worker through them. And since my whole family receives services there it is nice to know they can all communicate with each other to plan better for what our family needs. I would highly recommend them to any one who is looking for help. And yes, knowing they have a Christian foundation is good for me to know. It is not shoved in your face, but for Christians it is nice to know. read more
