My story. Went to TechFix with a very sick iPhone 6 Plus. Old technology, but I really wanted to…read moresave it . It had taken an unfortunate dive into my fortunately clean toilet. I applied all the DIY tricks in my pocket, to no avail. I was hopeful it could be saved because I was receiving text messages...but concerned bc screen was unresponsive. At TechFix. They offered immediate "while you wait" support and a reasonable fee to replace screen ($60 - parts and labor). Technician tried 3 different screens, but still could not get phone to respond. DX = fried motherboard. All hope lost. But, when I asked the fee, they said ZERO dollars. No charge for their time. Then, they kindly pointed me to swappa.com for used iPhones. A perfect event would have included repaired iPhone, but darn, this was "near" perfect. Great folks. And I got to meet Fenway, their little Boston Terrier. (No question here about fan.)

Fixing the laptop itself only took about 30-45 minutes, so pretty speedy service in my opinion. They also gave me a lower estimate than I originally thought, so high was a pleasant surprise.
