I was ok with that. They billed me for $530. after doing the same job. Don't think the truck meter is accurate. I called the owner but he would not call me back. A warning to those looking to hire Finn Christensen & Son out of Racine…read more I recently needed some minor drainage work done. Raising on a french drain, and installation/repair of a downspout and french drain. The owner, Kevin, came to my house, and reviewed the project. He was very polite and professional. Verbally estimated the job at $1500 and close to a full day of work. A few weeks later - two guys came and did the work, left without customer approval or notice. The invoice comes a few days later to the tune of $1750. 12 hours of labor and approx $430 in parts. Parts included ~20' of pvc pipe, 3 90* fittings, 1 y adapter and some misc fittings. Seemed high, but, everyone is on the 'covid excuse' for inflating everything. I call to inquire on the discrepancy in labor. They claim he told me $2000 for a full day (he didn't). So I asked about the 12 hours on the invoice. Two guys came at 8a, and were gone at 11:50a (camera footage validates). That's 8. So an extra 4 hours? She said the owner stopped over (he was here 11 minutes, again - per camera footage). I generally do not write reviews, but this was one of the most unethical expeciences I've had. A company inflating labor hours and presumably parts. Charging multiple customers a day allegdly to 'load the truck'... The worst part, an owner who didn't have the professionalism to contact an upset customer about a billing concerns. In the end, the work done was mostly what was expected, but the entire experience was not optimal. I should have gotten the quote in writing, that was a failure on my side for sure. Seek your help elsewhere.

They…read morewere sent out by my also worthless home warranty company last summer to assess a well pump issue. Without doing any kind of testing, he tells me I needed a new well dug! First, that's not a covered item and to dig a new well the depth that we have would cost me well over $25,000 (not a typo). When I balked at that idea he said, "Okay, I can put it in as a well pump replacement". RED FLAGS!! I decided to postpone doing any work. Fast forward to this year, I filed another claim and thankfully another company was sent out. They diagnosed it as a well pump replacement. I asked if I needed a new well dug and they looked at me like I was nuts. They did the work, and I paid my out-of-pocket share of $1,600 to him and HSA would cover $1,500, the limit for covered well pump work. I thought that was it until I get a call from the contractor saying HSA only paid him $1,000 because HSA told him they paid $500 to Krizan Well last year. Shortly after a heated conversation with HSA, Krizan Well called me because HSA asked him to (???) but didn't tell him the reason and thought I wanted to complete the new well pump (which is admitting that he did not do any work for me last year). When I asked why he charged HSA $500 when he did zero work he said "I did a lot of work" and when I pressed him to tell me what he did for $500 he said "I had to spend a lot of time on the internet looking up stuff to give you an estimate". SERIOUSLY??? $500 to look up the cost of a well pump and to send me an email estimate? DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. If your warranty company assigns them, insist that they assign a different company.
