We were very pleased with the work of Northern Lakes Landscaping. This summer they removed old timber stairs and decaying retaining walls and replaced them with beautiful stairs and rock retaining walls. The new paver patio and walking areas are really nice. There was so much attention to the details and all tasks were quality work. Rod created the design and gave guidance and suggestions for drainage and functionality. Brian supervised the daily work and kept us informed each step of the way. They even accommodated a last minute change we requested and still got the it done on time. Everything was cleaned up meticulously. The quoted price in November 2024 was the same when the job was finished. They are busy - but are worth the wait. Would highly recommend! read more

We are ave been working with contractors in northern Wisconsin for 35 years and Rod and his crew stack up at the top of the list. Rod is extremely professional, knowledgeable and easy to work with. His design is not just functional but elegantly beautiful as well. He reacted calmly to add-ons and found a way to make my requests happen. Plus I gave him a deadline and the work was completed on time. His crews are prompt, hardworking, friendly, and accommodating. Their work was precisely perfect and they were constantly surprising me with little extras to the design. They treated my property as gently as possible and clean up was impeccable. I tried to work with these people and sort out the issues, but all they do is lie. I was told the owner would be here this morning so we could get things sorted out, and he didn't even bother to show up. They were hired to cut our grass, fertilize, spring clean up, and start our irrigation system. The majority of the sprinkler heads do not work. Entire zones do not work. The ones that do work don't work properly (one is pointed towards our driveway). They claimed they did a spring cleanup. This consisted of 2 guys picking up some sticks on the grass. When they cut the grass they skip a lot of areas, just trim some of it and have damaged our lawn. It's July 8th and the fertilizer was never done. In another review the owner claims I tried to contact them over the holiday weekend when there was only 1 girl working. Well, I have emails showing that I started contacting them on the 24th of June. He then claims that I'm just trying to get out of paying the bill despite the fact that they have been paid in full and on time for the last 2 years. Our lawn has never looked so bad. read more

The best! We are very happy with the results on our two properties. Even though they provided the highest quote for our job, we went with Rod because he was professional during the planning stage and assured us the job would be done right. The result was unacceptable. After calling out the bad job done installing a new lawn, the second attempt was also unacceptable. So much for the saying, "You get what you pay for..." read more
