You know - like we should sooo lucky to give them a few hundred dollars for an intial consultation.. Rang for an appointment with a referal 15/1/17. Was asked to scan the referal and send it in with a brief note of my concerns. I am sure in the digital age, many peope waste a lot of time filling in forms and paperwork that just are not required. It is always interesting when business feel that clients should do more paperwork just for their business. Surely this is not a good indication of customer service or how the practitioners treat their clients. Isnt the referal to cover the screening process ?? :(

It turned out to be an abnormal…read moremole with the potential to become cancerous, so I've been getting regular check ups on the insistence of my doctor ever since. I go to Terrace Dermatology for a full body skin-check every 6 months, which involves stripping down to your undies, and I've never once felt uncomfortable like I have in other medical situations. My dermatologist is Dr Rowland Noakes, who is very thorough and checks between your toes and behind your ears. If you ask (which I did, because I am a crazy hypochondriac) he can even whip out this neat gadget he attaches to his iPhone4, which takes photos of your moles that he can track the progress of at each consultation. He is also the cheeriest person I have ever met in my goddamn life, which is pretty remarkable considering he must spend a lot of time burning warts off people's feet. The bathrooms here are also wonderfully clean and modern, and there's a good selection of magazines and newspapers while you're waiting. There are also usually free samples of sunscreen, etc, on the counter, but make sure they aren't overdue like mine were. Sad face.

You get no idea really of cost until you get back to reception, he's not clear on how many treatments you may or may not need. He is condescending, dismissive & doesn't really explain the treatment so you are left feeling like you have no idea what's going on. He whips you in, sticks needles in your face, zaps you with a laser and then leaves the room without even saying goodbye... He's more concerned with getting you out & the next patient in. I for one would NOT recommend him for a split second...

She is a the cruelest form of a bully to people that are sick and vulnerable.
