So this is a split review. I came here last year (2025) and saw Dr. Olsinski and he was wonderful…read more I had some serious issues be cause I have MS and a severe convergence issue and he spent almost an hour with me tweaking everything to make sure that the prescription was perfect - more so than any other doctor I have dealt with. He did a great job and they were the best prescription I've had in ages. Friendly. Professional. A++++ across the board. And their staff is always super pleasant. Calm, soft spoken and professional. A+there as well. Now onto this year (2026.) Due to health issues and surgery scheduling there was a conflict and I had to as the owner of the practice, Dr. K. Complete difference. He's supposed to be one of the best and I'm sure had he done the exam, it would have been great. However it was a tech who did everything, and though he was sweet, he is a tech. I paid to see a doctor. I have a medical condition. They did this virtual thing and it didn't show that it was adding up and it's a convergence issue. The tech (RJ) not to worry the doctor would address it. Dr K did not address it. He did address my dry eye issue yes and he was pleasant. Yes . Talked about the previous prescription, said he would tweak it, but he didn't double check anything to make sure that it was correct. He didn't even put me through the basic part where they make you look through the machine and they do the "is a better or 2?" as they click back and forth. He just looked at my glasses and said that oh yeah, the prescription on the progressive one of them doesn't even have Progressive (yet I know that it does because I saw my optometrist who's local and I saw a neuro ophthalmologist and they all said the progressive was there). So that's number ONE. Number TWO, they claimed it was too LOW, and I'm like OKAY, fine but he didn't measure to see where it was going to go up HIGHER. There was no checking further a sibsaid. He just said he would tweak my script. But how can you tweak a script a year later without any new information??? I have been wearing glasses since I was seven. I know how this works and I have been seeing neuro-ophthalmologist and optometrist for the last few years since I was diagnosed. It just felt a wham bam thank you ma'am sort of thing compared to Dr. O, which was night and day. So I called back the very next day to just see you know could I come in for a different exam and at first they were like yeah, you can come in to see Dr. O - no issue. The administrative director (Leslie) said, why did they put you with Dr. K? (after I explained the situation.) I told her had been a scheduling conflict- found it strange that she would even say that. He's supposed to be one of the best. But because he was the owner of the practice I felt weird calling - I suspected there was going to be an issue but, I did it anyway and I was polite. He got on the phone and told him he stood by everything and I tried to explain my concerns and he talked right over me and then just said fine basically whatever I'll have them refunded and you can go somewhere else. Essentially throwing me out of the practice because I didn't agree with him. Never gave me the option of seeing Dr. O because he said he stood by everything he himself said. If he stood by everything, what's the harm in having another doctor look at it to agree with him? Especially one who had already seen me before? Ego? Or because Dr. O might now have agreed? But that's not even the point. How about just making the patient feel better to maintain a good doctor /patient relationship? I've literally gone to optometrist, opthamologist and neuro specialists for years. I know how proper exams are done. He didn't like what I had to say and behaved unprofessionally. They told me they wouldn't give me my money back, and I said well why did I pay the $60 the VR thing didn't work and it wasn't addressed. They said that was just paid for the way to avoid dilation. Seriously? That wasn't explained to me (by the tech). Had I known that that's what I was paying for, I would have just been dilated. I paid an extra $60 plus my co-pay so $70 only to in the end, have to go see another doctor. The insurance said that SYS isn't going to file the claim - they don't have to. The business got 70 bucks from me cash between misrepresented exam & copay they don't have to give back. Why would they, or file a claim when they didn't do an actual exam? They're basically getting $70 for 0 effort and no true medical care. But it was just Dr. K and I alone in the room. He owns the practice so my word against his. I am a disabled woman in her 40s who just had hip surgery and like I said, my blood pressure was in the toilet. That should have also been taken into consideration and it wasn't. I got poor service and they still If I could give Dr. O a five star himself. I would NEVER RECCOMEND Dr. K If Dr. O ever opened his own practice, I'd be there.

The doctor was nice and seemed to genuinely care…read moreabout my eye health but when I picked up my glasses it felt like my eye was being pulled to the side and I said something. I was told to just keep wearing them for several weeks to see if I would get used to them. In the meantime I developed debilitating migraines. I spent months and months with doctors who tried everything and eventually I started injections. That helped somewhat. I got a small scratch on one lens and went back to my old pair. My migraines disappeared! I went to a different eye doctor (9 months after my visit at eye care specialists) who told me that the axis in one eye of the prescription from Eye Care Specialists was totally wrong. I went back to my old eye doctor at Walmart and asked for that (2 year old) prescription. It was very similar to my newest one and in direct contrast to the one from Eye Care Specialists which was off by over 60 degrees! This was almost certainly the cause of my migraines and why they went away when I went back to my old glasses. I went back to eye care specialists and I was told it had been too long and the best they could do was 50% off new lenses. I asked why they didn't think anything of my new prescription being so far off from my old (your axis really shouldn't change). I wasn't given an answer. All she kept repeating is that it had been too long, even after I explained that it took this long to figure out that they had made a mistake in my prescription. They obviously do not care that they put me through months of neurology appointments and awful migraines, they just want to get MORE money out of me when THEY are the ones who caused all of this. I cannot believe I even had to come back to pick up my daughter's glasses. Never again. I will make sure everyone I know goes somewhere else.
