Every member of the staff that I came in contact with was kind, attentive, and caring. My room was very nice. It was quiet and comfortable and allowed me to get a good rest for the first night after surgery. The food service was very good. I can't think of one negative thing to say about this hospital. I am surprised by some of the comments I have read. I noticed that some of the staff were wearing T-shirts that indicated that it was voted the number one hospital in San Antonio. I can certainly understand why!

I was taken back right away, but I wasn't placed in a room I was taken back to what I would say to an urgent care area. There was one nurse and one paramedic to help with patient care Racheal and Jessica. Racheal was probably one of the rudest, and uncaring paramedic I have ever dealt with. Any time I asked a question she was short with answers and rude, and it was so bad that it made me not want to ask for any additional care while there. I have a chronic illness I am at the ER frequently because of it. That is the worst experience I have ever had at NE. It was extremely busy. But, there is no need for someone to be as inconsiderate as she was. This is not the first time I have experienced this with her either. So, I feel that it must be her personality type, but someone maybe should give her some training in empathy. The girl that was sitting across from me was having a hard time breathing and no one came to check on her. I was having my eyes rolling in the back of my head unsure of what was going on and it was the same situation. Jessica and Racheal were standing there complaining about how busy the waiting room was and that they were in a surge. Im NE Methodist is a great hospital none the less. With many caring doctors and staff. But for some reason that day they were lacking in the empathy button. Hopefully someone will see this and make a change. Thank you.

Horrible experience, went in for bleeding in my mouth, they offered a solution by dipping gauze in…read moreliquid and having me clench, we did that for about 20-30 minutes, then rather than confirm my clot sealed and monitor my bleeding they gave me another gauze and said I could go home, once I arrived home and waited and took out the gauze the bleeding came back rapidly and I called back asking for help and they told me to do the same thing, after I called back AGAIN, they told me they couldn't help me and to go to another hospital, not only did I not receive treatment I was robbed of $80 dollars and told to go somewhere across town while the city was flooding, worst experience I've ever had with a healthcare facility and recommend anyone not to trust them. At least if you couldn't provide treatment don't rob me of my money.

She went in with Pain on her shoulder after having chemo, they kept saying it was the chemo its the chemo...blah blah blah. Well after being there a week they finally ok'd her to get the port removed. Well to our surprise there was infection there. No wonder she was in pain. She also had a very bad cough. Again...its the Chemo Chemo Chemo!! Well after they FINALLY took a chest x-ray they found Pneumonia!! They said it was only on one of her lungs. They gave her treatment for her lungs but it wasn't working. She was still coughing very short of breath. My mom would wake up in a panic because she couldn't breath, well they ended up giving her xanax to calm her down while she is knocked out because of the drug fluids were building up in her lungs Well finally after almost 3 weeks they said that they were going to release her. My mom said that she didn't feel well enough to go home. The doctor asked her...Do you plan on staying here forever?? (jerk) Well then my parents got their things and went home. My mom couldn't breath the whole night. We ended up taking her to ANOTHER hospital and she was diagnosed with Pneumonia!! this x-ray said it was on BOTH lungs. Lungs were filled with water. I go to front desk this gentle man finally comes and greets me I get it they are short staffed at least acknowledge me mamm I will be right with you . I walked back to the security offers desk and ask could i get a wheelchair i feel like i am about to pass out instead of him being Hubble he says go grab one . Like what ?!They take my bp vitals and temp the front desk lady was polite so I said thank you for greeting . Front desk girl wheels me to the covid area , this other nurse fully tatted lady with a shirt hair cut , asked me my first and last name then gets upset with the front desk lady snaps and looks at me then looks at her saying I am over whelmed . The nurse I had was sweet and actually went into thorough detail when she was going over the discharge papers with me. Finally I asked and they told me they had another doctor that came in. So the doctor came into fast track and we to to a room that had not even been there over thirty minutes. I told the doctor that we should have been seen first. I was told that there were only 2 doctors and they are doing the best they can. Not only did Dr. Naik blatantly disregard everything my wife said from the moment she started taking a health history, she was outrightly disrespectful and not understanding of same-sex marriages. At one point she said that just because we were married didn't mean that we should stop testing for STIs because those happen in same sex relationships as well-- totally insinuating that we were promiscuous or otherwise unfaithful. Incredibly disrespectful, did not listen to her patients, spent next to no time in the exam room, and IS NOT LGBT+ friendly.
