I've been in Healthcare IT for over 35 years, Dr Butler is the absolute worse Dr I have ever seen or been around. Before we even got any swab info to see if bacterial sinus infection he prescribed me Clindamycin. Research Shows it Is a VERY dangerous drug that can cause havoc on your GI tract. It should be the last resort for this issue. He did not even ask me if I had GI issues in the past which I have, so basically he set me up for a possible GI fail or even bleeding out or fatal colitis. His bedside manor is el zippo for me anyway, I heard him thru the wall talking with a female patient which he spent quite a while with talking. Me, he maybe said 3 sentences, while his PA did 99% of the work and talking. So if your feeling lucky by all means go to him, but you have been warned. Not to mention, My appointment was at 1:15 only me an 1 other person in the office and I got out around 2:25. So you be the judge. read more

You probably want to go somewhere else - anywhere else - unless your tolerance for having your time wasted is enormous. Their automated contact and appointment system stuns any reasonable person's sense of adequate service. it makes it virtually impossible ever to speak with anyone, has so many branches and choices that you can spend half an hour trying to navigate it, and cuts you off without warning. The person who installed this customer-facing system must have been determined to alienate every prospective client who might call. The system is positively Inquisitional in its impact and layered complexity. And that's fine if that is the approach this practice chooses to interface with patients. As for me, even though I've had good experiences with the one physician I've seen there, I'm seeking medical assistance elsewhere. After all, there is the notion one has to consider that any practice that chooses to distance itself so thoroughly from contact when patients first call to make an appointment or for any other reason, may have incorporated the same lack of genuine concern, interest in patients, and consideration for our human-ness into the care they provide. Sadly, that is the conclusion I have reached and that other commenters also have mentioned. One other point: even though I made and had confirmed an appointment to see my physician, I received a text message two days prior to my appointment informing me that I would be seeing a nurse practitioner. That's when I attempted to call them and found myself sliding down a deep communications hole, at the bottom of which the system abruptlyturns said, "Thank you. Goodbye." read more

I was fortunate to receive care from Dr. Butler and his team. I had a complaint (specifically nasal blockage) and I was reviewed thoroughly. In the end I was recommended surgery for structural abnormalities. The surgical team was amazing and very knowledgeable. Overall, I was informed about was going on, my questions were answered, and I was treated with respect. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone needing answers to their health. read more

Good luck getting anybody on the phone. After three days of trying, I decided I will go by the office. I wanted to get an appointment made when I got there. There was nobody in the office the door was open to the back I picked around the corner and said " is anybody here". Nobody came for a while. Then a little physical therapist came by and told me I needed to get back into the waiting room. I asked if there was anybody that could help me with an appointment she said "No"everybody's at lunch. I asked when they would be back. She said she didn't know and told me to go back in the waiting room. pretty much told me to leave. She didn't seem to know what was going on. Rude. My son had tubes put in his ears here in May '18. Every encounter I had with the office staff was negative. They are not kind or pleasant or follow through with what they say. If we need ENT services again in the future, I will try to find another doctor in my network I am now here for his follow up appointment (one year later). I stood in line to check in for almost 10 minutes, and the front desk lady said " you're 10 minutes late. I'll have to call the doctor to make sure it's ok for him to be seen." It's like they find any excuse to be difficult. I don't get it. I'm not sure what goes on behind that desk, but every time I've been here, it's nothing but bad energy coming from the front desk. read more

North East Georgia ENT is fantastic they reprogrammed my husband's hearing aids did the audio test thoroughly and only charged $50 for the reprogramming where everybody else even in North Carolina wanted 150 they recommended a dermatologist for me and also the doctor recommended a neurologist for my husband and I am very very satisfied With the care that we have been given there Donna was very very helpful and thorough and most gracious can't say enough about this place Janet Amig read more

I called to schedule an appointment...pre-COVID. As we were talking, I entered the appointment into my phone calendar, so I know it was correct. When I arrived, early, I signed-in and noticed several people were signed-in ahead of me. No big deal. The front desk woman called each person up and after about 30 minutes...when no one else was waiting...she calls out, "Mr. Xxxxx, is there something I can help you with?" I go to her window and explain that I have an appointment. She has no record of it, and instead of researching it with the person I told her I spoke with to schedule it, she treated me as if I had imagined the whole thing...or called a different doctor's office by mistake. No apologies. I had never felt so patronized or disrespected in my life. She asked me if I would, then, like to schedule an appointment. I replied, "I did that already, and won't make that mistake again," and left. No reaction from her. She couldn't have cared less. I like the doctors there, but their office staff's ineptness and rudeness makes this practice insufferable. I will never return or recommend them to anyone. read more

Today I needed to have something my three year old shoved in his ears taken out. I first called the emergency room and they told me the best thing to do is get into the ENT. Every time you call this ENT for an appointment you will get a voicemail. Nobody ever answers. Then it takes them about 1-2 hours to call you back. I have called four times today, because my child was saying his ears were hurting. I was only able to talk to someone once and they said they would tell the on call physician and see if they could squeeze my child in. Never heard anything back and it has been all day. None of the front desk people keep notes obviously of what's going on and it's just a bunch of phone tag. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I ended up going to urgent care and they were able to help timely. read more

Office and Doctors are more concerned about money than treating my son. I brought my son as a referral from my pediatrician. It was determined he needed tubes. However, the office would not schedule the surgery unless I prepaid for the surgery. The amount they quoted I needed to prepay was much higher than I would actually owe and I explained in great detail why the amount they quoted was inflated. I also explained that I do not prepay for anything and I would gladly pay the bill once I had a matching bill and EOB from insurance for services actually rendered (I even offered to provide proof of available funds in our HSA account). I was assured I would get a fast refund of the overpayment but under no circumstances would I be allowed to schedule the surgery without prepayment of the inflated amount. I refused and scheduled the surgery with another practice. I ended up only owing approx 1/4 of the amount this practice tried to make me prepay and surgery occurred within 1 week of the original date. This practice apparently is more interested in being a bank (without paying interest) than being a doctor and treating patients. read more

I have been very happy at Northeast Georgia Otolaryngology. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The doctors truly care for their patients and all are very competent and concerned. The audiologists offer such great services. Much better than a generic hearing aid place. They are very well trained in their specialty. They answer questions completely and patiently. I feel that my best interest is always at the forefront of their treatment. Our community is fortunate to have such a great group of specialists! read more

I have been a patient at Northeast Georgia Otolaryngology for over 10 years. My son has also had excellent care including a procedure for ear tubes when he was a baby after suffering from repeated ear infections that left him in pain and needing speech therapy. The surgery completely changed his life and he is now a healthy 10 year old with perfect hearing. I am so thankful for the expertise and the excellent care we have both received from the nurses and physicians at this practice. Everyone team member we have met at this practice, from the front desk to the billing department to the nurses and doctors, has been extremely professional and diligent.
