That is unusual and goes against their stated insurance policy: We will bill your health insurer for services you received at your visit. These services include a consultation, plus (if needed after discussion with you) additional procedures such as a nasal endoscopy or a laryngoscopy. You may have a copay and/or deductible, which is payable at the time of your visit. Some insurers do not cover any services unless your deductible is met. Each insurer has its own fee schedule for services that its members receive from in-network doctors. After your insurer processes the claim for your visit, you will be sent a bill for the amount (if any) that your insurer determines is your responsibility. Any amounts you had paid at the time of your visit will be credited against your final bill.

Dr. Walpert motivated my insurance company to expedite an MRI, and Kimberly performed surgery mid December ... I walked out of recovery that same day! Everything she, her great staff and surgical team said would happen did happen. Book an appointment if your issues are related to her area of expertise and she will help you if she can... she will also be honest and tell you straight up if surgery won't help you and that it could actually make the problem worse. I went in with what I believed was a…read morefungal nail infection, but the doctor did not examine my foot hands\-on, touch the affected toe, take a nail scraping, or perform any testing\. I was simply told that the nail needed to be completely removed, without being offered other treatment options\. I was uncomfortable proceeding with such an invasive treatment without further evaluation, so I sought a second opinion\. The second doctor actually examined my foot, tested the nail, diagnosed the fungal infection, and prescribed medication\. Thankfully, the problem was successfully treated without having my nail removed\. I'm very glad I trusted my instincts and got another opinion\. If a doctor is recommending removing an entire nail, I would expect a thorough examination and a discussion of less invasive treatment options first\. I was also surprised that this office passes the credit card processing fee on to the patient\. I'm already paying for the medical visit, and then I'm charged an additional fee simply for paying by credit card\. I personally have not encountered this at other doctors' offices, and it added to my disappointment with the experience\. Between the lack of a hands\-on examination, being given only the option of nail removal, and the additional credit card fee, I would not return to this practice or recommend it to others\.

My wife and I both went in for our annual physicals and we both got bills for what was supposed to be a free preventative services. Mine was $50 and my wife's was over $350! After a dozen calls to their billing department (who is never available and when you finally reach someone they claim to not be authorized to make a decision) they disclosed the reason for the $350 is because the PA asked my wife a question (which she answered) and they considered that not to be "preventative care" and so without any disclosure charged her over $350 for a separate office visit which our insurance refused to cover. Talk about entrapment! If you use them, be very careful to not answer any questions the Doctor ask you as they will use this as an opportunity to hit you with a sneaky bill. It is nice they respond to the reviews in this forum, but please note this is not helpful as the phone number they give is the same one that you can't get ahold of anyone in billing and the email they give, no one responds to except to say they are unauthorized to help.
