So, I was pulling into a parking space when the car parked opposite suddenly backed out and slammed…read moreinto the right rear corner of my Yukon XL Denali rear bumper, leaving a huge dent in it and wrecking one of the proximity sensors located in the rear bumper to warn of approach to an object while backing up. She was insured by USAA so I took her insurance info and filed a claim. I can't speak to how it worked on her end but on mine it was great. I had expected that I would be put off and they would try to send me to a low rent repair shop where they would use cheap knockoff parts or parts salvaged from a junkyard. NONE of that happened. USAA sent me to Cavender Collision Center, the body shop department of my GMC dealer, Cavender GMC Buick North. This is a good as it gets for body work in San Antonio, Texas. Cavender made the repair using new GMC OEM parts; replaced the bumper, including the step and the decorative chrome strip, painted it with a perfect color match, and it looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor. They also replaced the damaged sensor. The little plastic trim item in the driver's door that covers the bolt that holds the latch mechanism together had broken and fallen off. I had intended to order a new one but hadn't gotten around to it. They replaced it for no charge and didn't even mention it. Yes, I know the little part was not expensive but it was a kindness that I didn't expect. The driver-side low beam headlight was out and I had bought the replacement bulb but hadn't installed it. Cavender installed it with a smile; no charge. The bumper repair was flawless; beautiful job. Paint is not easy; especially automotive paint. Whoever painted my bumper is an artist. It looks like factory. Kudos to Samantha Romo, Cavender Collision Center receptionist, and to Conrad Muth, my Cavender Collision Center service rep. Well done. You guys turned a potentially miserable experience into a trip to the supermarket with my wife; not an experience I look forward to but one that's necessary and you made it as painless as possible. Sometimes the right people turn a potentially miserable experience into an opportunity to meet them. If you need body work, I highly recommend Cavender Collision Center. I would recommend them to my mom.

I was told in order to do so I had to take a tour of their facility. I had no problem doing that cause it would allow me to ask them questions can you work on my type of vehicle and are you able to do it without any issues. I was told to keep silent about the horrible service I had received because of a refund they had given me. I was like ok and thought this would be the end of it. No their owner took it upon himself to tell shops that RENT from property from him to not allow me to conduct business with them or any shop that he rents to. Which I then called the Comal Co Sherifs dept who told me he had no authority to ban me from business who rent from him. As I am a customer. I think if you have an issue and want to be this petty contact me tell me. So If your going to be this petty then I am going to tell every classic car person and event I go to AVOID this shop. 1) They charged me over and over to remove parts multiple times because they didnt buy the part. 2) I was charged for talking to mechanic on progress of vehicle. 3) Mechanic didn't know how to work on my car and should have from beginning said we don't know how to do this. 4) They damaged paint and tried to blame shop that had originally done restoration years before them. 5) Parts were installed incorrectly. 6) Used chat forums to get help on how to work on my car. Which normally is other people like me on those sites not actual mechanics. 7) Told me they didnt want to work on my car anymore after they had done enough damage to it. Take it somewhere else. 8) Picked up my car to see it dirty inside and out with scratches and marks to paint as people were touching on car who shouldn't have been. It had no gas when gas was put in, it was old and no good. I think so many other places are better and well equipped to work on classic cars outside of this place. They are only good for routine oil changes and minor maintenance of a vehicle. I even notified Hagertys to avoid using this shop as well sending them pics and letters from a shop who fixed the car and had to undo all their mistakes. Next time tell your owner to mind his own business...

Dealing with her was like working with an old friend. I had brought in a car that my daughter wrecked and was paying out of pocket, so I wanted the repairs to be as inexpensive as possible. She gave me two quotes, one best case and one worst case scenario. The final bill came in under the best case scenario. They didn't do extra work because they could or to drive up the bill. They cared about me as a customer and did what was best for me. Honesty of this caliber is hard to find in the automotive repair industry. I hope to never need their services again, but if I do, I will ABSOLUTELY go to Abe's again.

My car was full of dings from 8 years of driving to include someone bashing my driver side door with a shopping cart, which I originally had PDRd. I asked him To install a new front bumper since the original was so beat up from those parking bumpers it was pitiful. He got me an upgraded one which was so much better looking. The spoiler he recycled from one he had to save me money. In the end Hamed and his artists did a fantastic job. The car looks new in spite of its age. Hamed was a pleasure to work with. I will be coming back to get rims sand blasted and painted black, cheaper than new rims. Hamed is flexible and will listen to you and make sure you are pleased with the results. I sure was. Hamed just completed bodywork on my 2006 Dodge Durango. From turn in to finished product it took 12 working days. The Durango suffered minor damage from a front right collision with another car. Since my experience with my Camaro was great, I asked Hamed to throw in a repair for the rear bumper of the Durango as well from a previous rear end collision. The final product was outstanding. The Durango looks great and he even had it cleaned inside and out, even Armor All to the wheels. This is my wife's car and she was very pleased with the results. In this day and age when new car loans and comprehensive insurance are so crazy expensive, I long decided to just repair and refinish my cars as they age. Yasmein has been key to refinishing my cars and repairing them when accidents occur. He's all about customer being satisfied and has proven to me he delivers quality and tries to get your wheels back to you as soon as possible without sacrificing quality. Jeff you see is a baller in the Miata scene in the greater San Antonio area also known as the Bluebonnet Club. My 2003 Mazda was delivered from the factory with silver paint; tan leather interior that had seen better days when I purchased it in 2014. I decided to do a total switch in early 2015 to a black leather interior. Cue some Craigslist searching; me and a near handicap friend pulling an entire interior out of a salvaged '99 northeast of Houston. Thing is, the door cards I purchased didn't work with my '03. After a quick resale and repurchase (from Jeff H) I had the items that I needed. Except, the inserts were blue ala a Shinsen model. Welcome Max to my home turf in the Hill Country! Only gripe would be his lack of observance that the job was out of his usual service area (extra $45). Max came to the ranch. He attempted to cover the blue only to fail on the first try. An immediate retry was 99% better than the first. Thing is, he cared to actually make his work better than the first attempt. He offered no guarantee because he was working with plastic vs. leather. So far so good! My boy Rooster who noticed immediately that the inserts were different; still avoids touching it with my gentle scolding. Last pieces are almost in place for the complete change over to my new interior. Thanks Max, highly recommended!
