(Yes, I live on the west coast now, but my spouse and I still belong to their practice exclusively because we are really attached to our dentists!) The dentists and their staff are caring, personable, knowledgeable, and gentle. Over the years, I've had some fillings done, and it has been with kind hands every time. I look for high technical competency, as well as excellent bedside manner in my healthcare providers, and the Wohl Family Practice team fits my needs, and then some. I've visited many dentists in my life, and many dental specialists. These dentists are the best I've ever had. It's a real gift to my family and to the community that the Wohl team is in the world, and I would believe this even if juggling weren't a prerequisite for all their on-staff dentists. But the juggling doesn't hurt.

After she extracted a tooth which developed problems she pummelled the socket so badly I had a lump the size of a baseball on my jaw. Worse yet I wound up taking 3 antibiotics because she screwed up the first time. As a result of one of them - I'll never know which - I wound up with the worst cast of C-Diff they had ever seen at our local hospital. I called to inform her of this - She immediately became defensive and rude. I stressed I was calling to inform her not blame her, but she just rattled on about how well-educated she was. (She should have taken a year in communication and courtesy). A simple "I'm sorry" would have sufficed since I stressed I was not interested in litigation. Avoid this dentist like the plague.

What stood out for me was this team's sensitivity and care. Going to the dentist is really difficult for many people. Furthermore, there's a lot of deeply personal and emotional issues that can be relevant to people's dental histories and on-going dental health - eating disorders/mental illness, drug addiction, poverty, and childhood neglect, to name a few. I really appreciated that as a brand-new patient, Dr. Bonner took the time to meet with me one-on-one in a quiet office to discuss any concerns, rather than expecting me to discuss fears or problems while lying in treatment chair with lots of other staff around. During treatment, Dr. Bonner was very careful not to cause more pain or discomfort than necessary. The staff at this office was unfailingly friendly and professional. I was really impressed with this place - too often healthcare professionals can make patients feel inconvenient, dumb, or small but the compassion and respect I experienced at this office has stuck with me for a while. They are about the least condescending medical providers I've ever known, and in all ways are professional, courteous and accommodating. Let's just take this as an example. Like most other medical providers, you have to fill out some paperwork when you first arrive. Fair enough. The *very first line* was "How do you want to be called?" Now I despise strangers calling me by my first name; it is rude and utterly non-professional. So I put down "Mr. T_______." And sure enough, they call me that, each and every one, without fail, without bobbling, every time. They ask questions. They sit down with you to plan out what work needs doing, what's affordable, and they LISTEN. If you're anywhere within striking range of Cleary, and you need dental work, give them your business.

They first treated me fir a dental emergency even though I was not their patient. When Thomas Cleary began accepting new patients we immediately applied. The doctor did a comprehensive consultation and discussed our goals and pointed out issues which needed attention proposing options and prioritization. Very thorough and congenial. The entire team is efficient and friendly. The front office are so pleasant in their communications. The hygienist who did my first cleaning was very thorough and gave me explanations of what she was doing and where and how to improve my daily oral hygiene. This is a truly professional practice with pristine facilities and they treat you cordially and warmly. Wonderful!

She did the new patient registration and insurance process on the phone before I came into the office, done it speedy! The doctor's assistant was skillful and thoughtful as well. She prepared everything ahead and the procedure went through smoothly! Dr. Darabi is very experienced and really takes care of patients. He is professional, considerate, and very gentle! He spends time listening, explaining, and communicating well. He has the magical way to do anesthetic injection before pulling out the teeth. I can tell it was less painful and less uncomfortable. The office staff and the present senior dentist leave much to be desired . Today the only concern was payment . I received a quote that was 150 dollars more than the quote they had me sign two months ago. They TEXTED me to say I would owe almost 500 dollars for a filling . The quote from 2 months ago was 150 dollars lower . This was not the first time money came before patient care . There have been 2 similar incidents but today was the last straw. I left the practice after 33 years and will be going to an Easthampton practice not focused on money grabbing and concerned about the patient first .
