They normally have 24 or more book auctions a year. Roughly 12 catalogue sales with particularly exceptional or beautiful books. They also hold 12 or more list sales with larger lots of books and paper, normally sold without reserve. They also have shelf sales at 3 PM during their list sale dates where you can bid on 15-20 book shelves filled with books. Their regular book auctions start at 6:30 PM. They catalog and sell thousands of books, many are 100s of years old. NEBA is particularly strong in New England Americana and many old estates find their way there. I don't believe most of the auctions have a reserve but I can't say for sure, in some cases they have gone down to $1 for a piece of furniture . The speed is pretty quick so you need to pay attention or you may miss the item you want. Some of the people that work here take it upon themselves to describe things to the nth degree when they bring them up but should really just stick to holding things .

First, that stuff can be done online and has been possible for at least the last 20 years. And secondly, this stuff can easily be stolen when sent electronically. So they put the onus on you, the potential customer because they can't be bothered to join the 21st Century. And they are worried about being protected. Ahh, thanks hard pass for me. I called to verify this was the real case and it is. She thought the upside was you only have to do it once. Well let me see, if I need to do that every time I use a credit card, then I just won't do business there. I take credit cards for sales for business purposes in the thousands. No issues whatsoever.
