    Large playground

This is a very nice, large green space located adjacent to the Upper Arlington Public Library Tremont branch and the Tremont Pool. It features several sports fields, baseball diamonds, and tennis courts, and offers a paved walking path that goes around the park. There's a nice large playground area, which offers spaces for smaller kids and for larger kids with swings, slides and things to climb on. There are also some intriguing options like boulder/rope climbing, rope like nests/globes to sit in, a hammock beneath the larger play area, and a disc swing. There is a very large parking lot available, though the area does get used for sports games or festivals, so availability varies based on what's happening in the area. Picnic tables and benches area available in some spaces.

Northam Park is a fairly large park surrounded by a library, residential areas, and schools. I think the UA library is one of the best, and will sometimes relax in the park with a book. There is room for many activities. It hosts the Fourth of July fireworks and several festivals. There is also a pool and walking trails. It turns out to be much bigger than it looks. It has a playground with a good amount of swings. There are plenty of things for kids to do there. It has the improved swimming pool with the slide. There's a nice playground and good equipment. It's also pretty pet friendly. There's always people walking dogs or letting them run around. There are several athletic fields and plenty of tennis courts. It's pool is clean and modern. There will be lots of construction as the park gets a makeover. It will add more athletic fields. This has a lot of people angry because it's already a pretty good park. It's the nicest park in Upper Arlington. It's also one of the few cool things about this suburb. This is great to hang out at instead of all the rich houses there.

Seemingly a boring suburban park Northram isn't all that bad. Yes it's main purpose is for sports, having baseball fields, tennis and the like-- in the fall little league football happens and I dig watching the little tikes stumble around trying to be Tom Brady--but it also has some interests. A nice walkway circles the grasses and leads to a nice shaded area with benches. The UA pool is there though I have never swam in it. Being just outside the main library gives the area a public neighborhoodish feel in an otherwise commercial stretch of Tremont. It also has lots of space for dogs. Although not much for scenery, the copper tops of the school beside it is photogenic. It is a great place to catch your breath.

A clean park with a library, playground, and space to wander. This would be a nice place to take the kids.

I would have never known this was here if a friend didn't live nearby and tell me all about it. On my visit I accessed the park by traveling down some steep stairs and crossing a little bridge that gets you across the small creek that runs through. I quickly discovered a handful of miniature trails that sprawl out from the center of the park and into the little crevasses of the neighborhood bordering the area. I noticed a good number of other park goers, several super happy pups, and unfortunately a ton of trash. This is obviously what caused me to dock a star from my rating, such a bummer. Clean up after yourself people, there was seriously trash everywhere. My favorite part about this park is the tunnel with the giant birds painted across it. The acoustics once you're inside are major and during my visit there was a young man playing a flute. The sound carried so beautifully, it made my day. My second favorite part was spotting an owl high up in a tree. Owls are definitely my spirit animal, so cool! I'll definitely be back to this park. Fingers crossed it's cleaned up a bit.

There are a few different ways to enter the park - pay attention to signage indicating private property areas and to when some entrances are closed (i.e. during the winter, the steps may be closed if ice is a concern). There's a main path running through the park, next to which are various signs explaining the history and nature of the area, which runs into the tunnel with the beautiful bird paintings, which is, unfortunately, showing its age these days. Other paths branch off, allowing you to explore the nearby woods, and you can also go down what used to be an old street and enjoy that too. It's a nice place to explore near the city!

It's almost a SIN to be indoors this time of the year, so as soon as the indoor stuff was over, I googled nearby parks and decided to check out Duranceaux. Small(ish), clean, quiet, scenic, right on the river, with just a few people walking their dogs, playing on the playground, and flying kites, what more could you ask for?? There is a nice looking educational facility available for groups on one end of the park and what appears to be an OSU boathouse on the other end. If you're from this area, maybe you're already away of this great, tucked away, "secret" spot, but I got the feeling even a few locals might not know it's there. Worth checking out... ENJOY!!

The long drive down has plenty of picnic tables, etc., but not many spots to park. The playground is small, but nice. Right near a shelter, with a lot nearby. Shade and benches handy for the grownups. There's a big building that looks like a lodge house, where a wedding was going on. Signs say there is an "education center"- may just be a nature trail? It's south of the playground somewhere. A great resource for the community, and worth a return for more than just the playground.
