TODAY, HOWEVER, I bought a half sheet of Cherry plywood and ask for it to be cut at 25.25" x 48". When I'm putting it in the car, it didn't look right but I ASSUMED they ALWAYS do it right. Got home and it was cut 28"x48" and 20"x48" So I'm irritated and thought I should call the store and let them know so they'll be more careful. I call and Steve tells me to bring it back and they'll recut. Well I'm near an hours drive from them, and I can recut myself. BUT THATS NOT THE POINT. Rented a scaffold and drywall lift to put new drywall on our ceiling. Overall a very good…read moreexperience. The scaffold was very sturdy and the drywall lift worked ok. I had 2 minor issues. #1 - the drywall lift needed some WD-40 to get it to work properly and it still squeaked very loudly. #2 - had to get an extension on the scaffold as we weren't done in a week. Unlike the drywall lift where we received a partial refund, the scaffold we didn't receive any partial refund (even though we only needed it a few additional days). The people were very helpful and nice during each transaction, and helped load and unload my truck. Will be back if I need to rent anything.

I think this was because I was not a contractor. My last stop was Ewing Landscape Materials. I walked in the door and was actually greeted and asked if I needed any help. Richard Goolsby pointed me to the different types of gravel and gave me some sample bags so I could take gravel home to see how it would look in my yard. Ewing was very price competitive, actually a few dollars lower than the others, but I must say, if they were a bit higher price I would have still bought from them due to the high level of service I received.
