BUYER BEWARE...DO BUSINESS WITH SOMEONE ELSE!!!!! This is Ownership that does not keep its word, nor appreciate people that make an effort to support local. It was a recent Monday and my birthday was Wednesday of the same week. I purchased a Groupon for SmashIt and was REALLY excited and looking forward to going. As instructed, I went to their website to book a reservation. Their calendar allowed me to select Wednesday and go through all the steps necessary to schedule, including a prompt that said something like "complete our waiver to secure your reservation," which I did. I thought I was set, and didn't think anything else of it. Wednesday came and my husband and I drove up to New River from Phoenix (not around the corner) and found the place to be locked. I called the phone number and nobody answered. We waited...in the heat...in the afternoon...on my BIRTHDAY. I sent a text to the number with no response. Finally, I called again and left a voicemail. Shortly thereafter (still waiting outside the storefront), I got a call back from the owner, who informed me that they are closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and that he doesn't know why their website would allow me to go through the process, but he insisted I didn't have a reservation. When I informed him of the details of the steps I went through for scheduling, he was snarky when he asked if I got a confirmation email, which I did not, and I acknowledged that. I told him how much I was looking forward to this, and that it was my birthday and his only response to that was that he would be interested to see a confirmation email and they are closed and he doesn't have staff for Wednesdays. He was condescending in pointing out that it was not his problem. He was able to see the waivers that were completed for my husband and me, and when they were created, but nothing else. Then he said "Oh...my wife must have opened Wednesdays. She's not here right now. I'll talk to her about it when she gets back and one of us will get back to you in the next little bit." Nobody from SmashIt EVER reached out to me by phone, text or email. In good faith, in my mind I gave them 24 hours to get back to me with some kind, ANY kind of response. When it didn't come, I went into my Groupon account and requested a cancellation, which you can if it's within 72 hours. I had a lengthy chat (in writing) with a Groupon rep and let them know what happened. The rep escalated the cancellation request, and when I got the email from Groupon, it stated that the VENDOR DECLINED the refund request. That means NOT ONLY DOES SMASHIT NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE, BUT THEY WERE BIDING TIME UNTIL GROUPON COULD NOT REFUND WITHOUT THEM APPROVING IT. It would have gone a long way if they reached out to me when they said they would, offering an apology, explanation or try to make it right in some way. Now I am out both the money for the experience and for the birthday experience itself. I know I could reschedule, but if this is how unethical the ownership of this company is in doing business, I would rather do business with LITERALLY ANYONE ELSE!

My daughter and her teammates would take a bullet for Coach Patricia and as a parent....I don't blame them. Coach Patricia is by far the best coach my daughter has ever had. She takes care of all her players and goes above and beyond to get them recruited at the college level. I only wish that we would have found her earlier. She coaches them hard and then follows it up with caring and kindness and as a father I cannot ask for anymore than that. I trust Coach Patricia and Peak wholeheartedly. The positive impact that Coach has had on my daughter is profound and immeasurable and word cannot describe how much I appreciate all she has done for my daughter and her players. Just look at the other reviews they obviously agree with me. The thought of my daughter not playing for her next year saddens my whole family and we will miss Peak and Coach Patricia very much and appreciate all they have done for us. I seldom go out of my way to post things like this but when I read horribly inaccurate reviews of such a fine organization as Peak..it really pisses me off. Trust me ignore the vitriol of one unhappy person and trust Coach Patricia and her organization with your daughter just like I did, and I o promise you won't regret it.

I understand that swim progress isn't always fast, and I value safety far more than rushing through the levels. That said, it feels like we've reached a point where her progress has completely stalled. She's been in Level 3 Comfort at 77% progress for the last 4-5 months. Each week we receive slightly different feedback, but there's never a clear plan or explanation of what they'll be working on next to help her improve. I don't expect overnight progress, but I do expect a structured approach with clear goals and consistent feedback. Unfortunately, that's not my biggest concern. For a swim school charging over $123 per month for group lessons, plus an annual fee of more than $45, I expect a higher level of professionalism and reliability. We attend the same class every week, yet it seems to be canceled far more often than it should be. What makes it especially frustrating is that these cancellations frequently happen after the scheduled start time. We'll arrive for our 9:00 a.m. lesson, wait for the instructor, and then around 9:05 or 9:10 be told, "I'm sorry, we'll have to offer you a make-up lesson." I'm generally flexible, but that doesn't mean my time isn't valuable. Rearranging our schedule, getting my daughter ready, driving to the facility, and then learning after the lesson was supposed to begin that it's canceled is frustrating and disrespectful of families' time. A make-up lesson doesn't make up for the inconvenience, and it certainly doesn't inspire confidence that my daughter has a consistent instructor she can rely on. Overall, I'm disappointed with the experience and with how management has handled these recurring issues. At no point has anyone from management reached out to ask about our experience or discuss how they could improve it. Instead, those conversations have been left to the employees, who seem to be doing their best in a difficult situation. I genuinely feel for the staff because, from my perspective, many of these issues appear to stem from a lack of leadership and accountability rather than a lack of effort from the employees themselves. I wanted this to be a place where my daughter could build confidence in the water through consistency and support. Instead, we've experienced stalled progress, frequent last-minute cancellations, and a lack of accountability from management. I hope these issues are addressed because the instructors and employees deserve better support, and the families paying for these lessons deserve a much more reliable experience

I think we could be there for years and my daughter not be an actual swimmer. So 5 stars for a fun swim activity and getting children more comfortable with the water with lots of class options but 1 star for an actual swimming school.
