And wander I did in Churchill's, through shelf after shelf of fiction, non fiction, vintage titles. I eventually left with a paperback I'd never heard of, a first edition of one of my old favorites, and a cool 1980 comic book that just struck my fancy. But more than the things I bought, what I really found in the meandering shelves of this little bookshop was the sense that there could be some treasure waiting for me around the next corner. In this little space filled with books of all kinds, Churchill's captures the feeling of discovery that all good bookstores have and online bookstores just can't replicate. My kids weren't with me this time, but I could hear them as I wrapped up my visit to Churchill's bookshop. "Come ON Dad, let's goooo already." I had to smile. I can always tell it's a great bookstore when I can hear my kids telling me I've spent too long wandering its shelves.

This second hand children's store had a really great selection of clothes for both girls AND boys,…read morewhich is hard to find. Usually there are a ton of cute girl clothes but the boys clothes are just meh. Not here, there is a lot for both genders. I felt the pricing was pretty fair and they had a lot of name brand quality clothes to choose from in many different sizes. The clothing was all in good condition with no rips or stains. They have the clothes organized in a way that makes it easy to see everything easily. The racks are spaced appropriately and there is enough space to be able to move the items on the rack easily to see the item clearly. There was easy parking and the hours of business are great too. I will be back next time I am in the area.

It doesn't take long to figure out where things go in Encore Books. Pocket-sized paperbacks fill the shelves in the middle of the store, while larger paperbacks and hardcovers are placed around the edges. Sections are clearly defined and well-alphabetized, making it easy to see if they have something you're looking for. If you're having trouble finding something, the staff I spoke to was friendly and helpful - they'll set you right with a smile. With both used and new books on the shelves, the prices are quite reasonable. Their "blind date with a book" feature is a fun addition and a great way to encourage trying new books. While I often prefer a bookstore that encourages exploration and comes with a little mystery, a place like Encore Books is perfect when you're looking for that one book you can't seem to find anywhere else. They care about what they're doing, and it shows.

You guys in Yakima shopping, here me out. I came in this weekend, and let me tell you, wow!!!!…read moreFirst off the prices are insanely great, and they have the best clothing selection. Why did me and my bestie have a PILE of clothes on the register. Shoes, earrings, purses (3), shoes, pants, dresses and more. This is when I stopped and said why have I not heard about this place many many times before? I was in awww and can't believe that we stumbled upon this. No one in Yakima has even shared this spot with me. Which is fine, more for me now!! Lets go back to the pricing, the system is wild, and they have really good stuff for the prices their selling it for. They have swim, tank tops, sweaters, decorations, office supplies, I mean literally everything. I was sooo happy to have found this gem. My bestie and i walked away spending less than $100 bucks (and I got over 22 items). I also re sale items soooo some items are not for me, which I know people are going to eat UP - I scored. Between the both of is, we got five pairs of shoes. I will be taking my items to this store when I come back into town next month for another day of shopping!!! The bubble gum blazer (linen), vintage and ohhh so cute. The vintage vibrant green sweater with 3 gold buttons sooooo cute! If you're looking for gems, this is it!!
