Over time, I found many of our interactions to be lacking warmth and compassion. At times, her communication came across as borderline rude, and I perceived an attitude that felt dismissive and superior rather than caring and respectful. I tolerated these experiences for quite some time because I valued the continuity of my medical care. Unfortunately, I have reached a point where I can no longer ignore how these interactions make me feel. A strong patient-provider relationship should include professionalism, empathy, and human connection. In my experience, those qualities have been missing. In addition, I felt that I was charged for various services in a way that was not always clear or expected. For example, if I scheduled an annual physical, I sometimes had to dispute the visit in order to receive the required preventive care, and then make another appointment to address additional concerns. I was also charged for services I understood to be covered by my insurance. As a result, I either paid for vaccines or received them elsewhere. I am deeply disappointed because I believe every patient deserves to be treated with dignity, kindness, and respect. Every month is a battle to get my controlled medications. If you come in for a UA that is read the…read moresame day, but your provider isn't there in office, they claim they send a note to your doctor to call it in. That NEVER happens. You end up having to call and have the provider in office call it in. Because of this, I have been left several times now without medications that my body is physically dependent upon and thrown into withdrawals until they decide when to call them in. As far as leaving messages for the doctor, good luck if you ever hear a response. You have to constantly call the office to get them to resend these so called notes/messages and hope they finally respond. If they do respond, you then have to call the office to get the response because they won't call you back to relay it. If any changes are made to prescribing your controlled medications they don't let you know either. They changed my requirements for a medication and didn't consult me until I call, it's a Friday, I'm already out, and now I have to go the entire weekend without medication. I am also a private pay patient so when things like this occur it puts a wrench in what I've budgeted and scheduled for my medical needs at this particular clinic, again leaving me unable to get medication because I'm financially strapped. I will give the women in the office credit as they are compassionate and understanding, and I also am aware that they are only able to do so much in their positions. But the provider I've seen makes me feel like I'm another number in the computer he just has to get through. If my issue is rectified in a professional and appropriate manner, I may change my rating. In the beginning it wasn't like this and I was satisfied with the care I was receiving. I don't know if they have too many patients or what but I feel like I've been tricked into getting involved with this provider. Take this for what it's worth.
