Dr Osborn is good IN Mercy hospital during emergency surgeries on our loved one but this office…read morestaff women should have been fired years ago. the office manager sounds like she is tweaking and will literally scream at people who call. It is totally unprofessional and bizarre. I doubt the docs even know how their patients are being treated. They also use "hippa" to not talk to you and do not even know how HIPPA works. They refuse to relay info to the doc which is allowed under HIPPA. They cancel an appointment the day of and say they will call to reschedule but do not and when we call they are beyond rude again. I am a 24 hr a day caregiver to the patient who had 2 surgeries by Dr Osborn. The manager claims he had surgery at UCSF and yelled "I KNOW THIS CASE VERY WELL!!!" and obviously she does not as he had his surgery at Mercy Medical. I can't believe people are able to keep a job being this abusive and scary. I do not even feel safe going there with these types of out of control staff there. I am looking to find a different orthopedic surgeon. I really truly do NOT FEEL SAFE going there with this type of aggressive and out of control staff. I hope the doctors are told what is happening.

I received a partial hip replacement several years ago from Dr. Ferraro. He ordered no pt for me…read moreso I had to heal all on my own. it was five years of complete and total misery and I can't walk to this day. Dr. Ferraro is a hand specialist and had no business performing a partial hip replacement on me. None whatsoever. This doctor butchered my hip! it has never felt right. To this day I'm in pain from my hip. Thanks for nothing you incompetent idiot!

I was a patient many many years ago at Shasta Orthopaedics, and had the worst care anyone could ask…read morefor. First of all, I was in his office for a broken arm, and the word Carpal Tunnel was never mentioned in the appointment I had to go over my surgery with both Dr. Ferraro & Dr. Schillen, but Dr. Ferraro thought I said my hand hurt, so he dictated 20 minutes later, that I needed Carpel Tunnel Surgery, of which he slipped in while doing my other surgery. He refunded my insurance company, but refused to tell them why!!! Dr. Ferraro must have a long conveyor belt and thinks all of his patients need Carpel Tunnel Surgery. Or maybe that is all he knows how to do. Dr. Ferraro's ability to figure out what may be wrong with his patients is impossible. It took at least 9 months of PT, casts up to my armpit for 4 months, a bone stimulator for 70 days, surgery on my other arm, due to over use because my other arm was in a cast for so long. I had to go to San Francisco to find out that when my arm was broken, my Ulna was shoved up into my wrist. And because Dr. Ferraro's office had me use a bone stimulator for 70 days, my bone filled in, so basically the Ulna in my wrist was too long, and there was no way I could bend my wrist over. Am I the first person that has ever had a broken arm that did this? The "Hand Specialist" as he is known as in Redding, never even figured that out. It took my new Dr. in San Francisco 10 minutes of looking at Dr. Ferraro's x-rays to know what was wrong. I had to have my Ulna shortened, which meant sawing my Ulna and my nerve in half, putting in a plate with 7 screws, to hold my bone in place that was pulled out of my wrist. Quite an ordeal, but the care I was given in San Francisco was above board, and they knew what they were doing. Dr. Ferraro caused me years and years of problems, and I would never step foot in that office again!!!!! And now, his office has done it again!!!! I have a friend that is really messed up and he has not been the Dr. he should be, and it's obvious, he should be doing something else, or maybe just stick to Carpal Tunnel Surgery. Not to mention his inefficient MA. What a joke! I can't believe that almost 20 years after my ordeal with Dr. Ferraro, that he's still unable to diagnose anything different or out of the ordinary. And you'd think that maybe 'HE' would want to consult with another Orthopaedic Dr. Wow, what a concept! He is so arrogant that he probably thinks he knows it all!!!!!!!!!!!!!
