Drank way too much bubble tea on the way down and had horrific flashbacks of beach restrooms past but found these facilities to be clean and amazingly well kept. The water was shallow and warm for a long swim! Soft soft sand, friendly beach goers and 2 parked ice cream trucks nearby = happy happy me. Now I understand the etymology of the word 'gull-less'. Freakin' seagulls walked right up to our bags and stole our snacks. Next time I bring my air rifle. Bring it on you food snatching pea brains!

Most people don't know about this place. It's actually open to the public. You do not need to be a Hingham resident to visit here. Not only that but it's actually free. Not only is the beach pristine and beautiful, the water idyllic blue and fresh and clean, but there is a green right next to the beach and it is vast and beautiful with lots of trees and picnic tables. There's lots of places to sit. There's also a snack bar with amazing food. It has lobster rolls and salads and amazing fries. This place is totally a gem. On the other side of the beach there is a beautiful knoll with lots of trees. I recommend this place for kids, for picnic Sundays, for families, anybody can come here. It is open and free to all. A wonderful place to be. Dogs are welcome here on the beach from Labor Day to memorial day. Great fishing spot - once the flounder capital of the world. Make sure to read the placards placed all around the park to learn some history of the "island" (now completely land connected) to Quincy. There always seems to be a strong breeze here, bring a kite. The funny thing about this place is that it shares land with the MWRA which operates a large sewage plant here, don't worry you can't smell anything but fresh air. What's priceless is with a multimillion dollar plant on site you have to use one of the portable johns if mother nature calls, so "Boston".

There's room for hard-core walkers, runners, casual strollers, it accommodates everyone's pace. And that's just the outside walking path that circles the center field! It's surrounded on one side by suburban neighborhood woods and fescue- just beautiful! Watch out for the bunnies that live in the neighborhood under the trees. The paved path rolls out ahead of you with straightaways, gradual dips and rises. Benches are placed at intervals for a stop and you can always look ahead to shady areas while walking along. Just remember to walk/run counterclockwise and don't be that guy who runs down the middle of the path against the foot traffic and you'll have a great time. Outside the path, on one side there's a big play area for kids - I see regular child play groups here. Climbing things, slide, jungle gym. This abuts 5 beautifully kept tennis/pickleball courts where you'll see all levels of players thwacking balls. The jewel in the crown is the artificial turf soccer field in the middle where you might see high school field hockey, rugby play, all levels of soccer play and practice. There's a low set of bleachers to watch the action on the field and benches to see the courts from. The field is *perfectly* manicured-just beautiful. If you ever wanted to see the New England Free Jacks, a pro rugby team play they occasionally have Saturday practice here! Check the field's Weymouth website, you can see the reservation schedule for everyone playing. You can still walk the path while sport teams are playing, it's roomy enough for everyone. weymouthma.myrec.com/info
