I got the cookies and creme ice cream and it was really good!! The employee was nice and she let me sample a flavor so I can decide what I wanted. Overall I recommend getting Ice cream here as it is very refreshing and yummy!! read more

Every time we make a trip to Big Bear Lake, we always stop by North Pole Sweets. We've always had great service. Super friendly and helpful with recommendations, and we're always met with a smile. We've tried a bit of their fudge and solo chocolates and have been pretty happy overall. This past trip was the first time our toddler was able to sample their offerings, and we opted for a sugar-free chocolate (can you imagine a toddler hopped up on sugar on a 2hr drive home...?). They person helping us out was really attentive and told us what sugar alternatives they use, just in case we knew of any adverse reactions by our kid. That extra step alone puts their service above and beyond! BTW - our kid loved the sugar-free chocolate. And we loved the lack of sugar rush! I love fudge, and I've tried the salted caramel, rocky road, mint oreo....and a few others here. My favorite is the mint oreo. I mean, mint oreos in a mint/chocolate swirl? Yes please! We've also liked their other offerings (toffees, etc.). This little hole in the wall is definitely worth checking out. Prices are decent and service is friendly! read more

Cracks me up. This store has 2 different Yelp listings, even though this one is for the candy/ fudge, not ice cream., yet people still write 4 star reviews for a terrible experience.. WTF...? Anyway, like above or below.. ice cream bars... right in the window on the counter is the sizes and shapes of ice cream bars, cheesecake and banana dipped in a dark chocolate.. I chose the chocolate ice cream to be dipped, because it was like 2" thick and maybe 3" x 3" square... BUT!!! I actually got maybe 1/2" thick by 2" x 4" of ICEMILK.. NOT ICE CREAM... there's a difference in texture and flavor.. and it was TERRIBLE!! She had no answer for why they falsely advise the sizes... and prior to dipping into a huge tub of magic she'll.. it was covered in ICE!!! Like that fluffy ice that grows on your packaging in the freezer after sitting for a long long time... but it quickly disappeared once it was in the warm chocolate, wink!! She swirled it around a few times at this point.. cold "ice milk" in a warm environment.. is probably melting, but she don't care... finally after 15-20 second chocolate bath.. she drops on the nuts.. covering it on both sides... I ask what about the Oreo.. where does that go.. she says.. "on top" where there is nothing to grab on too..& Sure as sh**.. it was not a good experience.. DONT GET THE ICE CREAM BAR!! This ice cream bar " the balboa bar" is originally created in Newport Beach- Balboa Island... as a matter of fact... going to IN N OUT for lunch and grabbing a ICE CREAM- BALBOA BAR for dessert!! Oh yeah they don't make anything homemade at this location other than the fudge.. the candy & ice cream / ice milk is brought in off a truck.. the fudge and caramel are homemade.. so when you want to wait in line for 30+ mins for ice cream, stater bros on the far side of town, sells the same thing for 1/2 the price.. Ben & Jerry's would have been better, but what I really wanted was that bear frozen yogurt place across the street.., next time!!! THEY TAKE CASH & CREDIT/DEBT CARD, just not Apple Pay or Tap, because it's 2024 and they don't want to accept technology advancement.. read more

Our group of 6 bought frozen bananas. They were green unripe bananas. Ironically the worst part was the brown coating. (Can't call it chocolate.) They have Dryers Ice Cream as well so that may be the better bet. They have an extra star for serving mini cones. read more

This is a smaller version of the North Pole Fudge and Ice Cream Company located over on Pine Knot Ave. The advantage of this new location on Village Drive is that it is far less busy (at least when I visited) but has all the same wonderful sweets. Fudge, carmel apples, ice cream, shaved ice, chocolates and candies of every flavor and variety. They even have some toys and games. I got a slab of s'mores fudge: chocolate fudge with small marshmallows and a graham cracker bottom layer. Delicious! The woman at the counter was very friendly and, as I mentioned, the vibe is less frenzied than the crowded main store. read more

Worst frozen banana ever. What's so hard about making a frozen banana? We ordered two and the chocolate had no flavor whatsoever, as in it tasted like a banana and nothing else. I threw mine away. There was plenty of "chocolate" on the banana, but they use the absolutely cheapest chocolate available. I'm not expecting Disney quality, but I want to taste some chocolate. read more

Something tells me that the two young ladies working there would rather be somewhere else. Even though I had committed to buying a pound of fudge, I got the sense that it was burdensome for the young lady taking care of me to put my order together. To top it off, when I asked for a sample as I was making my selections, she tells me that they don't give samples. Odd. I guess I would just have to roll the dice and hope that I select something I would like? Fortunately for me, the other girl was helping another couple which I overheard asking for a sample and was given one which caused the girl helping me to change her sampling "policy" on the fly and acquiesce. After that episode I sped things up and got myself out of there as soon as I could. As for their fudge. I would compare it to a really beautiful looking woman who doesn't have a brain in her head. She may look good but once she opens her mouth to express herself, you want to leave because it's too painful to listen to. Or in fudge terms, it looks better than it tastes. They have quite a variety which will get you excited when looking through the window at the selection,however, after eating a little bit of the 5 different flavors I got, they all seem to be overdone on the vanilla flavoring and in essence taste the same with slight variations in texture and flavor. Good thing for them they're in a tourist spot because they'll always have new unsuspecting people to sell to. So in conclusion, if this was 'In Living Color' and Men on Film, my review verdict is, "Hated it." I think I'm going to stick with the fudge I get every year from Grandma's Frontier Fudge when I make my yearly visit to Tucson and Tombstone. read more

After a long day canoeing in Big Bear lake, I decided that I was in for a sweet treat (all that paddling burns off a lot of calories!). This is a cute mom-and-pop kind of shop that you would expect to see in Big Bear. I got a single scoop of dreyers/breyers (?) strawberry cheesecake ice cream and the cashew & coconut brittle. The ice cream obviously isn't house-made but its nice quality, rich, and creamy. They're also fairly generous with the scoops. The cashew & coconut brittle was delicious! It was easy to break apart and managed to capture the essence of coconut and crunchy nuttiness. It also wasn't sickeningly stick-to-your-teeth sweet. They have shaved ice, smoothies, and several kinds of chocolates and candies. Stop by this shop if you get the chance! Service is not super fast, but it's definitely friendly. read more

Ice Cream on a hot day is perfect especially from North Pole Sweets. They have a wide selection of ice creams from chocolate, to vanilla to chocolate chip. They also offer waffle cones if you'd like a lil more than a regular cone. This is also a candy store, they have wide variety of sweets to choose from for everyone with a sweet tooth. Only thing I did not like was the line, it was a bit long. Maybe we went here on a busy time but the wait was worth it once you starting munching on the food you ordered. read more

I LOVE the goodies in this place, it an absolute must when we come to BB. The fudge is amazing. The ice cream is amazing. My only reason I don't give this place 5 stars is the girls that work there. Come on! You're serving candy and ice cream that make people happy. Why do you girls have to always be grumpy???? Too bad for them. I'll still go there and stuff myself and hope that some day they'll learn how to be nice to customers. Mmmmmmm gotta go get some peanut butter fudge! read more

Although I didn't get to try their fudge I drooled over them for a good 5 minutes before being pulled away by my husband. They had amazing looking fudge. Rocky road, snickers you name it they had chocolate heaven. I was also upset that I didn't come by here before buying my caramel apple elsewhere because they have a ton of different ones. they were covered in chocolatey goodness and I almost wanted to try them all. Luckily my sanity kicked back in and I was able to walk away without putting myself in a sugar coma. Don't forget they also have ice cream. read more

Terrible! Just walked in on Sunday at 4:41pm and they told us they are closed. The store was wide open and no times listed. We passed by this place a couple times during our trip and were saving it for a special treat of some of their caramel apples, which we love. We finally stopped in and bought 3. After much anticipation we sliced one that evening for dessert and the caramel was so awful and artificial tasting we couldn't even eat them. $15 wasted on inedible apples. It was so disappointing and the caramel tasted like chemicals and was the worst we've ever had. We also tried one of their dipped ice cream bars and watched the girl dip it more than 3 times in the hot chocolate coating so after the toppings were added and we started eating it, it was almost all melted inside and the ice cream was foamy and not creamy at all. It's so disappointing because this cute candy/ice cream shop could be so great if they didn't cut corners and used quality ingredients. read more

A local suggested we try this location rather than the super crowded one on Pine Knot. This one was essentially empty so we had an easy experience. Lots of fudge and chocolate variety to choose from. Ice cream was good but was labeled as Dreyers, so probably similar to what you may find in the grocery store, not homemade. Still Yummy though. Overall, a nice sweet shop for a treat. read more

This shop is the worst! We went on Nye to get ice cream and the girl at the shop was sooo rude! She showed how unprofessional and uneducated she was! She refused to get the manager when we requested and threatened to call 911 when we refused to leave without speaking to a manager I will be calling Tracy Gonzalez the owner! She should get fired based on how poor her attitude was we will never go back! read more

If I could give this place a zero I would. Obviously you can't really go wrong with ice cream and fudge and candy. I walked in on a weekday afternoon and NOONE greater me or even cared to say hi. There was three workers just standing around talking. I took a quick look and left because I really didn't want to give my business to a company that can't great their guests upon arrival. I walked around and came back about an hour later! Same thing happened. Got my ice cream and left. I will not come back here again. Even though your fudge is great your service is awful! read more

It tasted similar to a peppered beef but just a little tough. Prices reasonable but some items are priced a little higher than expected. Still intrigued by the variety of meats, BUT I personally didn't see any jerky that was made locally. The ostrich was imported from Indiana. The jerky was still good, though, but I would have loved if "House Of Jerky" had at least some of their jerky made in-house.

She said the other gloves were marked with the higher price, essentially acknowledging the error in their tagging of their merchandise. Considering I don't work there and didn't price tag their merchandise, it was really confusing why that was relevant. Also, this all begs the question of how many times they do this to their patrons? Is it company policy to price an item one thing and overcharge by 33% and hope no one notices? Just honor the price tag. Not difficult. You did it, not me. I'm a paying customer, who is in town regularly enough. I hope the $5 was worth it. You clearly needed it more than me. Bums.

The shop is small and packed with anything and everything; fresh fruits, veggies, meats, eggs, cheeses, drinks, laundry and cleaning supplies, liquor, snacks, and fun little treats scattered throughout. The staff are friendly neighborhood folk who know lots of their clientele and just what they want. Prices are high but this is for convenience not the deal. During our stay in Big Bear we got many of our groceries and some sweet treats from the Community Market, and I'm sure we will be back when we return again someday.

She found this place during her Girl Scouts camping trip when they were missing bagels. The cashier was very kinda and helpful with her order. Unfortunately my wife lost the lid to her metal coffee tumbler and did not realize it until she made it back to camp. After calling the store, they originally did not see it but took her number down. Luckily after an hour, they called back and found her lid next to the door water dispenser. Very thankful for their diligence and great customer service. Cute little shop and will definitely be back if we are in Big Bear again! As for the bagels, they were really fresh and the scouts enjoyed them thoroughly!
