I saw the signs and walked in. They weren't officially open yet, but they hooked me up with a tree and delivered it! Highly recommend.

WHY MR. JINGLES? These days I like convenience. Located a…read morefew blocks from my residence and they secure the tree on your car. And if you have a base, they will secure that as well. I didn't have a base with me but the hole was perfect. You can also purchase one there. ARE THEY EXPENSIVE? I think it's relative. I purchased a 6'1 Nordmann and paid $74. It is a fresh, live, green, full, non-shedding tree. She is a beauty.  And I carried it by myself and I'm only 5'3. I didn't want to but I had to get the job done. Get my drift. HOW CAN I GET A TREE CHEAPER? Mr. Jingles has a Groupon. He  will offer a price match. You'll pay the cost of the Groupon and get an additional $1-$5 dollars off depending on the tree. Then there's the option of a smaller tree. DO THEY FLOCK TREES? No more flocking. But if you buy the right green tree with single color decorations, you'll love it the same. Plus, most tree places charge an additional $8-$9 per foot for flocking. NEED TO KNOW --Tree sizes 2ft-9ft (were the ones I awed) --The trees are much too full. No --Charlie Brown trees :(okay just come --Delivery available --Online purchase available --Accepts cash, card, mobile pay --Good service and no pressure "There are three stages of man: he believes in Santa Claus; he does not believe in Santa Claus; he is Santa Claus." ---Bob Phillips #JUKEN123 #mrjinglesxmastrees #bankershillxmastrees #nordmannxmastree #makeyourchristmasmatter

I can't say enough about the experience I had with Moon Valley Nurseries in Poway. From the…read moreplanning process through the final installation, the level of professionalism, communication, and attention to detail was exceptional. A special thank you to Codie and the entire landscaping crew - truly are the best services I have ever had done with my home. Codie took the time to understand exactly what I was trying to accomplish with my backyard and made sure every detail was handled correctly. The landscaping crew was equally impressive--professional, hardworking, respectful of my property, and incredibly meticulous with the placement and installation of every plant. You could tell they genuinely cared about how the finished project looked, not simply about getting the job done. The end result exceeded my expectations. They helped transform my backyard into something I had envisioned for a long time, and seeing it finally come together has been incredibly rewarding. They truly helped make my backyard a dream. I sincerely appreciate Codie and the entire Moon Valley team for the pride they took in my project and the quality of service they provided. When someone treats your home and landscaping as if it were their own, that deserves recognition. For anyone in San Diego looking for professional nursery, planting, or landscape installation services, I would recommend Moon Valley Nurseries without hesitation. Based on my experience, Codie and this team set the standard for what professional landscaping service should look like. Thank you again, Codie and crew, for an outstanding job and for helping turn my vision into reality.

BUYER BEWARE: I called Moon Valley Nurseries in Escondido to get professional advice due to a San…read moreDiego city bureaucratic mandate for an ADU build that put my property and city at serious risk. Instead, a salesperson claiming to be a landscape designer aggressively misrepresented what a 'DigAlert' ticket covers. He claimed running their own report after I described one already done by 811, granted them authority to plant seven large tree root systems directly inside a high-voltage and high-pressure natural gas public utility corridor, in direct violation of San Diego Municipal Code safety separation buffers TREE PLANTING AND STAKING SDL-101ATTACHMENT 13. https://www.sandiego.gov/sites/default/files/legacy/publicworks/pdf/edocref/standarddraw/2015standarddrawings/sdl/sdl-101.pdf. This "landscape designer" sugggested that Palo Verdes were the best trees and that they had zero root problems that may interfere with the FIVE underground utilities running on my property that included gas, electric, drainage, AT&T, and Charter Communications. Quite the contrary: Palo Verdes grow up to 25 feet wide and just as tall. My lot is 5500 sf in a tract home community that sits on an easement as a major public right of way. This predatory trade practice shifts massive structural liability onto an unsuspecting homeowner and his outright lies just to get a sale were outright shameful. STAY AWAY from dishonest businesses like this. I called Anderson Nursery right after and they said they've never tell a homeowner to do such absurd thing. Obviously.

NORTH PARK NURSERY @ NORTH PARK…read more Parking is available on the street for free, and there's also neighborhood parking across the street, which I definitely recommend. I came to this event for Sip & Swap, where you bring your own plant and swap it with others. I loved the idea and had never been to North Park Nursery before, so I was excited to visit for the first time. The space itself is huge, with plants everywhere, from the left side to the back to the right side. They also have stickers, cards, and all sorts of plant-related items. All the plants looked really healthy, and there's a wide variety to choose from. The event even had drinks, like an agave drink, which was free. The vibe was great, and there's outdoor seating where you can relax and admire the plants. Prices range from about $20 to $70, depending on the type and size of the plant. I especially loved the section in the back called "plants that need extra love." These plants are 50% off, perfect if you want to rejuvenate a slightly struggling plant, and they even come with a vase, so you can care for it on your own schedule. They also have pet-friendly plants, which is great if you have dogs, cats, or other animals at home. Overall, I really loved this place. If you're a plant person, I would definitely stop by if you're in the North Park area.

I would definitely recommend this shopping here instead

It's basically a giant dirt-filled playground free-for-all where kids can just be kids, and I'm so here for it! We first came during Halloween last year, and it's easily one of the best pumpkin patch experiences in San Diego. I LOVE that you can buy admission with everything included instead of constantly buying individual activity tickets. It makes the day so much easier with kids, and for everything they offer, I think it's a great value. Just know: it's a FARM. Dirt road, dirt parking lot, dirt everywhere. Expect your kids to leave filthy and happy. The entrance can also be easy to pass the first time since there isn't much warning before the turn. They do have handicap parking right up front, which is a huge plus. There is SO much to do: endless slides and bikes, petting areas with the sweetest animals, goat feeding, chickens, tortoises, horses, cows and llamas, a hay maze, shaded jumping blob, tricycle course with tunnels, toddler area, corn pit, inflatables, water slides, sunflower fields and hayrides. And if your kid loves construction equipment, this place is HEAVEN. There are endless dump trucks, excavators and bulldozer toys, plus real equipment the kids can actually climb on. Even when it's busy, there's so much to do that it never feels like kids are fighting over one toy. They also have a little snack bar where you can buy food, drinks and refreshments, but I love that they allow you to bring your own food and drinks too. There are tons of shaded patio areas with tables, so you can pack a picnic, sit down and take a break before the kids run off for round two. Everyone working and volunteering here has always been incredibly friendly. One of the owners even drove our hayride and told us about all the animals, which made it feel even more special. We now look forward to their monthly themed events and make them one of the highlights of our month. We're already excited for Halloween and Christmas! Such a wholesome, family-owned place where kids can climb, explore, get dirty and HAVE FUN. If you have a construction obsessed kid around ages 2-8, you absolutely need to bring them here. We could stay all day and still find more to do!
