I've been a customer for years and I wouldn't take my car any place else. A little chaotic, but my car is always fixed at a fair price.

I've taken my 2004 Lexus SC 430 to John since it was brand new. It's now 22 years old and runs like…read morea top. John is trustworthy, extremely knowledgeable and reasonably priced. He checks my car out completely and if he finds a problem, we dicuss it before he actually does the work. My car runs like a top and has never let me down, thanks to John. He will usually repair whatever is wrong while you wait. His shop's is clean, spacious and welcoming. He and his employees are polite, respectful and friendly. I can't say enough about this shop. Try them yourself. I think you'll find the same.

I called this place twice-both times Sam was super helpful. Brought the car in-and the owner? Checked under the hood and gave me a fair estimate. I would have gotten the work done here but they didn't have the part and I had to leave that day. So they advised that I go to the dealership. I did. Once at the dealership, they of course had a long list of things that I needed to fix. Big surprise. I actually called Ozzie's again. The owner? Or a lovely gentleman told me what exactly to do if I he were to give advice to his daughter. I really appreciated the honesty and compassion. It's clear this shop is more about quality and satisfaction. Although I didn't get my work done here-I totally recommend them!

These days it really is hard to find a good, honest mechanic. But I can say with 100% certainty…read morethat the guys at Specialty are not only the most honest mechanics I've ever met... They're some of the most honest people I've ever met. John, the owner, really takes pride in his work and oversees every repair to make sure it's done perfectly. He's always been available when I'm there to answer any questions I have about the repairs I need, the repairs I don't need, any upcoming maintenance or service intervals, etc. Lino is also always available and extremely knowledgeable. As an example of their integrity - I brought my car in a few months ago to have a belt tensioner replaced. After a few hours they called to let me know that I in fact didn't need the belt tensioner replaced; They repaired one other thing that I had been putting off for a while and let me know I could come pick up the car. Their pricing was extremely fair. I tried to explain that they needed to charge me for the time it took to take out the parts to get to the tensioner (I believe it was an hour or two) but they insisted that they would only charge for the work they did. Another benefit - there's an Enterprise Rental place right down the road - about a 5 minute walk. Anytime I have to leave the car overnight I reserve a rental car so I don't have to bother friends and family for a ride. All in all, I've been extremely happy with the guys at Specialty. I'm definitely a customer for life.

I went in for an oil change today at 4:30 and they said those take 45 mins, which is incorrect. No one was there, so I thought he was going to be like sure we got you! Absolutely not. Went up the road to Take 5 Oil by human bean on McFarland and was out of there by 5pm and received three services, which is when the other place closes. Simply could have completed the service within 30 mins. The worker seemed like he did not want to be there nor was welcoming whatsoever. DO NOT RECOMMEND!! Jackson the manager is who I talked to. I rarely leave negative reviews, but after my experience with Extra Mile, I feel other customers…read moreneed to know what happened before trusting them with their vehicle. I spent thousands of dollars at this shop trying to fix an ongoing problem with my car. I authorized repairs and services based on what I was told was wrong and on the understanding that certain testing had been performed. Despite spending thousands, the original problem was never fixed. What became even more concerning was when I later asked for the actual reports and results from the testing I was told had been performed. I was unable to get the documentation I expected, and I was told that some of the recommendations had been based on ChatGPT suggestions. This left me seriously questioning the basis for the work I had paid for. After having to bring my vehicle back three times, I learned that the shop had been relying on a report created by the original manager who diagnosed my car. I was later told that this manager had been fired. However, when I asked for documentation and proof of the testing, the story changed, and I was told that he had not been fired. Every conversation I had with the shop was recorded, so I have documentation of what I was told and when I was told it. After all of this, I called and asked to speak with management and the owner about some type of compensation. I was told by the manager that the owner wasn't around during the day, had a "different type of lifestyle," and that I wouldn't be able to get an answer until Monday morning. I was told I would receive a call back. That call never came. I had to call multiple times myself, only to eventually be told there was nothing they could do. At this point, I expected both the owner and manager to take responsibility for what happened, review the documentation, and make a genuine effort to address the situation. Instead, I felt that neither took meaningful ownership. I was left to pursue answers myself, despite the fact that I had spent thousands of dollars and had repeatedly brought my vehicle back for the same unresolved problem. I finally took my vehicle to Honda, where they addressed the actual problem. Since Honda completed the repair, I have not had the issue again. I was also told there that many of the things I had paid Extra Mile to do were services that a vehicle generally would not need. My biggest issue isn't simply that they didn't diagnose the problem correctly the first time. Cars can be complicated, and mistakes happen. My issue is that I spent thousands of dollars based on their diagnoses and recommendations, had to bring my vehicle back three times, and the original problem remained. When I questioned the testing, requested documentation, and asked management and ownership to take responsibility and make the situation right, I felt completely dismissed. Had I received honest communication, documentation supporting the testing and recommendations, and a genuine effort from the owner and manager to take ownership of what happened, I might feel differently. Instead, I paid thousands of dollars, still had a broken vehicle, had to take it somewhere else to actually get it fixed, and received no meaningful resolution from Extra Mile. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this shop. I strongly encourage anyone considering having major work done here to ask for diagnostic reports and test results in writing, confirm who performed the diagnosis, get a second opinion, and understand exactly why each recommended service is necessary before authorizing it.
